I speak the bare minimum to be able to get around, but Tokyo is really converting itself over to a more English speaking public because of the Olympics next year (I couldn’t find the clips but I have a lot of the buildings going up around Yoyogi Stadium... there was a building they started when we arrived in Tokyo, and throughout the three weeks we were there, they nearly finished it on our last day. It was absolutely incredible how fast things changed.). The thing that shocked me the most was just how BIG Tokyo is. When they said they combined like five cities, they weren’t kidding. It’s massive, and we didn’t even scrap the surface of it in three weeks.
Do you speak Japanese? How was getting around Tokyo?
