I'm still figuring out how to comfortably VLOG in public ESPECIALLY in Japan, but let me know if you'd love to see more tech videos from here!
Do one at Donki's :)
1000% do more!!! Love this kind of content.
Was a good video, although you did make that guy on the elevator uncomfortable near the end of the video :D
You nailed it, would love to see more of it. The video looked great too, was it mostly shot with DJI Pocket 3?
Yes, more Japan videos...
I want to go back 😢
LETS GO BOSSMAN
I could suggest regional fun tech spots- and maybe retro car fun?
Wifey is Japanese & my teen is 100% bilingual
Please! The Japan video with you both was one of my favourites
Family first trip to Japan video ?. 😍
Video title:I spent how much?!? On Japanese Mystery Tech
That guy jumping up and down at the end brought me so much joy
I only saw him once we started editing the video and I wanted to thank him for his energy!
Wait where? :D
That guy was adorable 😂
Was going to say the same thing. That person was awesome.

I have to add this place to the places I need to go. Thank you Denki for showing us the worlds largest tech store.
So glad somebody finally made a video of my all time fave store. Can't wait to return and do more shopping.
the sheer size of this place is amazing. definitely a spot to visit when you're in japan!
When will you and Austin both travel to see Japan's amazing technology and awesome hobby stores?
We need a "hella" drinking game where you take a shot each time he says hella
Trashed after doing this 😂
aight bet
I died
It's been 1 for the bucket list and I'm hoping to go to within the next year and this is definitely 1 place I'm going to, I would love to see more of this for sure!
I have the feeling that I will like your other video walks no less than I like this one. I perfectly understand how enormously difficult is to make a presentation of this enormous big and interesting place. Your great work is well appreciated.
Really cool Vlog. A lot of history in such an iconic place like this. Thank you for showing us and giving us a tour. Akiba was at one point the tech capital of Asia when Japan manufacture almost everything in electronics. Of course those who are techies also brought their other passions such as Anime and game centers to the area. The birth place of maid cafes. It's a bit of nostalgia that is slowly going away with the rise of internet shopping but still glad I could see it in your video. Thanks
Love this video!! Thanks so much guys!! I’m definitely going someday!
I was there last year and as an european guy it was overwhelming. Thx for vloging this because no one wanted to believe me how big and mentally overloading this was.
this is really useful, thanks for the video! I didn't know this was there but I'll definitely check it out when I visit!!
Tech + travel log = best denki video
Thanks Ken, for inviting us on a trip! Ive been to Okinawa and that was a blast!
man i was just in awe this whole video, and then you saw brian and his supra. hit me right in the feels
That place is so huge!
Always gets me whenever I'm back!
*Thanks for sharing, beautiful massive store a lot of people must have a lot of great deals* ❤
This makes me miss Fry's so much. It was our closest comparison to this amazing shop. We need a massive one again because for replacement parts and other electronics, holding them and inspecting them in person is way more helpful in person rather than going to Amazon.
💯. Fry's was a family day trip..
That was a pretty cool place. I get tired just seeing all the floors and isles and isles of things there. Thanks for sharing such a cool place.
Great video! I really liked the graphics package you used.
This was super cool Ken! Loved the video!
The selection of fountain pens at 7:09 is awesome! I would love to visit a retail store such as this!
Awesome video.
I would love to know why stationery stores are so popular is SE Asia and Asia. I see them everywhere.
@@skum73 Just a speculation and from an outside perspective. Asians, from my experience, are very business minded and put lots of stock on looking the part. Having a fine writing instrument to either use during business and to give as gifts, would lend to more of an availability. Since they could tend to be more conscious of appearance than many westerners. I've seen nice deals being signed with a pilot G2. Where as, a professional Asian business man would probably be ashamed to use such a pen and might even look at it as disrespectful to the prospective or current client. Obviously this is mere speculation. It might just be the concentration of wealth in some regions?
Good observation on your part though.
Going to Japan is a dream of mine and this place will be at the top of my to-do list once I get there!
Mr. Denki, I really enjoyed the way you us everything from the first floor to the last floor of the building. I Love everything about the Electronic store. Pls give us more of it next time and I will love to come to Japan and live there. Japan is a beautiful country to stay in ❤
Yodobashi is now on my list of places i want to visit when traveling to Japan. Thanks for that nice VLOG. Really cool
That store is crazy :) . If you want to buy a new cassette player for example, you'll be able to do it! It literally has everything there for you to buy!
do they still sell portable cd players. and i wonder if they have minidiscs
I have a feeling that they only have new Minidiscs, but not players. Those can be found in Akihabara, in used electronic stores. @@mintybudgie
Keep up the videos man love the travel vlogs 🔥
My hotel was 5 mins away from Yodobashi Camera when I was in Japan for Halloween! Love that store!
I love the Yodobashi Camera jingle!
Great tour of this tech store.
This is such a sick video! Super interesting!
Content like this is fire 🔥 more please!
This was a fantastic video Ken. Really come into your own here 😄🙏
Great video. Congrats!🎉
I was in the Yodobashi in Umeda, Osaka as well during New Year's Day when the earthquake hit at 4pm, the hanging panels shook quite a bit.
Glad to see that you were fine!
Man this video brings back memory from my trips to Tokyo.. Spent hours in that store.. Now i wanna go back badly lol!
Great video! Amazing store!
Seriously we need more of this type of videos in Japannnn.
Really good piece. We were in Japan th
in 2016 and visited the store. Definitely amazing. I do recall the food was good. Glad you mentioned the batting cages, was about to comment that you missed them. In the 90s pre internet the store would have been triple insane.
Very cool video. Just subscribed. I was in Japan in October and sadly missed this place. Instead I hit up Bic Cameras in Shibuya. Got a few Transformers toys. But that looks like a tech heaven. Hopefully next time I make it back to Tokyo.
This was an awesome video! I want to go here and just get lost!!
I wanna see someone walking around doing daily vlogs with that red komodo lol. Great video, I absolutly love that store I wish there was something like that near me in the states.
I went there and was crazy surprised by the amount of tripods they had! awesomely overwhelming!
Love it how everyone around you is giving you the stink eye cause they’re worried you’re the new Johnny Somali 😂😂😂
It's rough because there's no elegant way to shoot a video like this without projecting and I hate doing full voice overs 🫠
Lol the guy on the stairwell at the end 😂
Nah, he looks local! 😅
I went there in 2017 and I was in that store for a good 3-4 hours. I bought a shure headphone after trying like 30+ headphones (I didn't even plan on buying one), and few model kits. it was heaven, but also a torture as you want everything but you can't bring all of them back with your limited baggage space
Awesome video!! I'm wondering what camera did you film with? It's so smooth!
That's awesome. I will probably never visit this store in person, but it looks great on my 65" QD OLED TV!
Time to buy some plane tickets!
So,, in Japan for some reason Logitech is named Logicool... It seems so Illogicool
日本では既に他社が『ロジテック』というブランドを展開していたために、日本では『ロジクール』という名前が付いています
Everything is amazing, but as a car guy too, I'm in love with the models!
Great video! 🎉
On your comment on the more expensive pc parts in Japan. That seems to be typical for most places of the world. The US pays the least and complains the most on prices. lol
i aqm glad to have joined you in a video trip to some place i have never been and wanted to. Thank You So Much.
thats cool thx for the tour
I got my new glasses at Jins too and love that they don't charge for the eye exam. Saves a lot of money.
This store looks unbelievable! I could spend all day just looking at everything.
Plus have no money left after😂
loving the heavy use of hella
Was just in Yodobashi Akhibara last week. Didn't disappoint
I have fond memories of that store when I visited. Also I remember being soooo tired afterwards ha. I even ate in the restaurant section and had a (rare there!) pizza!!
Some great restaurants on the top floor!
the lighting thru out that place is on point. At least from the video. Hopefully i can get there one day, i also want to just get lost in one of those used camera malls.
Homie sees a F&F Brian O'connor figure and drops the Olive Garden slogan.... LOL! That was awesome! @20:13
Man, I remember going to that gigantic labyrinth of technology. I genuinely spent HOURS just exploring the whole building and still not getting tired of it by nightfall. I wanna go back 😭
This place along with BIC camera are just sense overload 😂 it’s one of those places where I love going there when I’m in Tokyo but if I lived in Tokyo I probably wouldn’t go in there that often.
Really good insight, Supra model for me too 😮
The most beautiful sight I saw on my first trip to Japan was in yodabashi camera in shinjuku where they had the demonstration massage chairs. After having walked 28000 steps that day I needed a break.
Great video mate! On my map to visit!
OMG I've done those escalators countless times and I can't wait to go back!!
I always stay at REMM right on the other side of Yodobashi every time I stay in Tokyo.
Everything so close to the Hotel, quick access to the Yamanote line 🎉
I went to Japan in 1990 as a kid and they were the king of digital stuff we didn't have in US. Now they're the place to go for record players and fax machines.
I was in japan 4 days ago i miss it already and i visited yodobashi akiba the store is so nice.
I went over a year ago and the music instrument selection is crazy cool. I just started getting into filming as well and there was so much of that. Also all those sellers were funny. Had fun. The toy section was huge also... like toys r us on steroids.
I live around 30 minutes from Akihabara and go to Yodoshi Camera all the time. Did not know about the batting cage up top. I will check that out. Had lunch there on the 9th floor, recall that it was under $15, which is a fair price, and decent quality food. For electronic good however, there are cheaper places. Personally I like exploring that area on the other side of the JR station and a few blocks down. Much better prices for M.2 SSDs, USBs, and misc items as keyboards, etc.
Not far from Yodobashi, like less than a 20 minute walk is an indoor sauna (called onsen) that is nice to go to. Recall it's around $20, and they have free alcohol. Relaxing time there.
Take me back... Take me back to Tokyo 😢 damn, best MCM song.
Crazy 🤯
I like this video, wanna see more.
The yodobashi jinglemight be an earwurm , but the BIC camera jingle still haunts me after visiting 6 months ago
There we go
This is so far my favorite place in Tokyo. I'll be going there in May again after nine long years and probably would stay in the store for a long time.
(The Golf section was originally Tower Records I believe, it sadly got closed last year but at least there's a bigger one in Shibuya)
Dude, not long before you posted this video, I saw Mrwhosetheboss and Abroad In Japan visiting it together as well. However, your coverage of the store is much more complete and in depth! Thanks for making it, it was really interesting!
These stores are gems, I bought my Japan/NA limited edition Casio 5600 in one of them for just about 10 000 yen. Still works perfectly to this day!
WVFRM Podcast led me here.
love this store, god i miss stores like this in the uk, this is so cool!
we used to have tech stores, audio stores, but they all gone now, very few left, tiny small ones, cant get repairs anymore etc, tis a lost art.
Love this content! Very different to UK stores
"I'm starting to feel it now Mr. Krabs" 😂😂
We need Denki Around The World series 😅 where you travel and review tech markets and show prices and what you can get if you spend certain amount. Would a fun
I went to Akhibara last year and remember that building leaving the station. I walked right past it because I thought it was an office building that had just sold the exterior wall space for billboard advertising. Oh well, I still found a lot of cool places to shop anyway.😅
That is it. I'm going in the next couple days. I didn't know it existed till now
This place reminds me a little bit of Fnac here in Portugal, it started as a book store and went into technology and music later on and has a lot of different things including almost all kinds of technology, but only bigger brands sadly, but also statues and figurines and other merch stuff, lego, puzzles, posters and more, but they tend to be quite small, nothing compared to this monstrosity.
Definitely want to check it out. Trip is planned for next year. Also looking for that milkfed hoodie lol
Awesome video. So is this a wholesale market? I'm always looking for cool stuff to sell.
Ken, do you recommend the Yodobashi in Shinjuku or Akihabara? 11 buildings vs 1 giant building😂. On my first trip to Japan I didn't know about Yodobashi, but I plan to visit it when I return in 2024. Thanks for the great overview. Very impressive store👍🏽🤙🏽
I've gone to Yodobashi multiple times on my trips to Tokyo. Will be going again soon and this time, will visit all the floors. I don't know why I never did that.
I was there just 4 days ago and the family would only allow me time to get only to the 3rd floor. If I even get back to Tokyo then I will have to hit all the floors. Great vid.
I bought my Grado 100 headphones at Yodo last year and saved a lot of money with the conversion/tax discount. Hope you get a good one Ken.
I’m the kind of person that would spend days checking everything out.
THAT IS PARADISE.
Nice video 🎉
Was imagining this kind of retail store in my place. Could buy any products easily and yes, less complicated (offline 😅)
Enjoyed the video. I’m going to Japan next month! I’ll buy a Pocket 3 as well 👍🏽 You say Hella a lot, are you from the Bay Area?
