Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer. If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. The people in Japan is all about respect they respect every tourists and expects the same in return. During my visit in Japan I was worried that communicating in english would be difficult and I knew zero Japanese but to my surprise almost in every daily interaction with the locals they initiated the conversations in english even if they were not very good at it which is fine. Really a great place, with great people and food of course.
that is just not true. living in japan tokyo for 16 yrs now and i can tell you this country is full of racists.
@@ALIALLYSON so just like South Korea and mainland China then? Fun fact, every country has racist fcks from first world countries to third world countries

@@light2790 completely depends where you are. Majority in big citys are nice. It's some of the older generation and out in smallers towns where they don't like foreigners. 1:50 "Meron? Is that melon? Is that supposed to be melon?" Im laughing too hard. Hahaha
Meronn-pann was named so for the likeness of its top part to a melon. Since Japanese sounds of らりるれろ are not either R or L, we just use letter R to write them down for convenience. So メロンパン is meron(n) pan(n).
The red bean paste is Annko (あんこ), a traditional sweets in Japan. It can be the filling of Mochi, or put in hot water of a bowl with lightly grilled mochi to be a Zenzai (ぜんざい), another popular hot dessert/snack.
