Hi I’ve got a 2022 monkey first oil change, 600 miles, was done by the dealer to maintain the warranty. I know the next oil change wasn’t due till 4000 miles, but I ride this little bike quite hard and being such a small engine I wasn’t happy leaving it till then. So I changed it at 2000 miles. Same as you I reused the original sump plug washer and filter seal ring, no problem. What surprised me was the colour (dark) and the amount of particles in the oil. I intend keeping this little bike a long while, I live on a narrowboat and it’s the only bike I can fit on it, the cost of the oil and filter is minimal , but the benefit of oil changes is massive to the longevity of the engine. I intend changing it every 1000 miles from now on. The quality of a Honda motorcycles makes it a real pleasure to work on and I love this little monkey. Fun factor is off the scale.
