    Pro Neg Hi is my 2nd favorite in the current lineup. The boosted contrast is a welcome addition in urban settings. I find the saturation is a nice middle ground of classic chrome and provia also. Great video, Jay!

    • @JayRegular
      @JayRegular  2 года назад

      Thanks John! The monochrome recipe in this video is a bit specialised and is much more suited to JPEG only shooting due to it's WB shift (which may make RAWs look strange). But I'm constantly experimenting and still trying to find and easier and good looking recipe

    Amazing video man! Loved the intro and the editing, so creative! Totally agree with your list especially what you said about pro negative being overlooked as it definitely needs more attention. As for me I’ve predominantly used Acros red and yellow this year, the noir vibes and contrast makes it all nice!

      The great thing is all of the film simulations (maybe besides sepia and monochrome) can work really well in any weather or envrionment, but some just work better as a base than others, without the need to tweak it too much

    Fantastic video! Amazing street photography, Jay! Thank you for sharing your recipes. I'm anxious to try them out. There is never a dull moment when shooting with the X100 V. So many recipes to try with all those beautiful film simulations. One of my favourites is Acros + R. Basically the same as your recipe but I choose grain effect off. I've shot film on very high ISO film for that effect for years, but now I'm going the other way. I'll get back to you on some of my fav. settings as well.

      Classic Negative is a great base too, and a popular base to use for a lot of "film-like" recipes. Pro Neg standard is a great sim that I think feels the most natural (more so than provia)

    • @JayRegular

      Assuming that acros+r makes blues darker and reds lighter; color chrome will enhance saturation of colours, chrome FX blue will enhance blue saturation, and wb shift can change certain colours in the shadows midtones and highlights to another hue... It should alter/affect the look when converted to BW
