      Hi. I don't understand something about white balance in recipes. Often it says auto and with shift to certain numbers. But when you change r, b values it's not auto anymore but custom.

      @@KebsCayabyab is there an app that can give your android or iPhone Fujifilm and Kodak Colours, What I mean is Film Simulation Recipes, so you can enter a few colour settings etc and get Fujifilm and Kodak Colours everytime you shoot with your android or iPhone, I don't want an app like lightroom that charges you every month as I am short of money, so just a one off payment is what I want, I just want Fuji Across and Fiji Provia colours etc coming from my Android and iPhone camera.

    • @KebsCayabyab

      @@cariza5 There's no existing app like that as far as I know. There's a free Fuji app but it would only work for fuji cameras, not phones.

    YES! Kebs, you hero! I love the looks here, they are so much more faithfully colourful and stylised. As a Velvia shooter, I am so fatigued with the Kodak muddy-green style profiles that are popular recently, so these are very refreshing to see. I will have to try them. Thank you for this.
    Surprisingly, after trying them Harajuku and Akihabara are my favourite styles.

    Thanks for these. Watching this carefully and comparing the different recipes I'm beginning to see just how the various adjustments work. I've never really grasped what +1, -2, changes to R abnd B etc achieved - getting a much better idea now. Off to experiment.
    Can I make one (critical?) comment - for me, the background music, although well-chosen is a bit loud and distracting sometimes. Just my preference. I really like your videos, I always learn something and come away with an idea or two.

      Victor, you don't need to set the grain to strong, It boils down to preference really. Since you don't like the grain, you might want to leave the Noise Reduction to default or even add a +1 or 2.
      For the Dynamic Range, you can leave it to Auto - mine is auto. Or if you like, set it to 400 if you intend to get shots prioritizing the protection of your highlights.

    Two things I'm missing:
    1. what are your ISO settings with these recipes? The recipes I know often also depend on a specific ISO setting or a ISO range.
    2. What sensor are those recipes made on? The older cameras have limited customization options for the JPEGs.

    • @KebsCayabyab
      @KebsCayabyab  3 года назад +2

      Thank you!
      1) the main focus of the recipes in the video are colors. It should work on underexposed and overexposed shots ( not saying that it's guaranteed to look good 😁 )
      2) made using the X-T2, X-Trans 3. You are right, I shouls have added that somewhere. Thank you!
