I was originally exited about the multi poly node introduced in fusion 19, but after using it , I found it not all that much more powerful than simply grouping polygon or B-Spline nodes. Which is existing feature that is essentially the same in terms of functionality. I feel there should have been more functionality introduce and its probably a missed opportunity. Tapered edges of open splines for hair roto work and motion graphics for example, would have been a lot more useful than Multi Poly node. Or at least if they expanded on the concept of grouping by adding more functionality. But I guess Multi Poly node takes less node space for multiple nodes functionality, so there is that.

You might be right but it’s still way more efficient than the regular polygon and I believe there are instances where it becomes extremely useful.

I prefer multi-poly because complex projects can have dozens of nodes taking up so much real estate on the screen. This simplifies the process and gets rid of all the clutter. Everyone has their own preferences though. I guess I'm just used to layers in Photoshop, Krita, and Gimp. I know your post is old, so sorry in advance. 👍

@@Thomas_Leo No problem for old. Yeah, I suppose its a matter of preference. If you are using to layers etc. I you are using to working with nodes, Its easy to group / underlay everything and have a nice overview the process from top down. So I was hoping they would expand on the functionality beyond just user interface. There was an opportunity in my view to add some extra bells and whistles to this node and its a miss opportunity in my opinion, but for people who want this kind of way to work, it is probably what they want, so there is that.
