    You Sir are an excellent instructor and I suspect your channel will take off! The pace at which you present information is very much appreciated by this new user. You give people enough to time to comprehend what your are saying it, while doing it. I will be back for more content for sure as this video alone has been very helpful. Seeing examples of the power of this program opens up ideas for creativity. Thank you.

    • @coffeebeanstudio
      @coffeebeanstudio  Год назад +5

      Thanks a lot for your kind words. I believe in a slower pace of teaching as I believe understanding something and taking the ideas and making something else out of it is the essence of learning. If I went faster, the audience would know how to do that one thing, but might struggle to expand on the concepts on their own. What you've said is music to my ears. Thanks for stopping by and watching! I sincerely appreciate your feedback! :)

    I like that you dig into the properties of how the features work in more detail. Makes you actually create something usable at the end of following along.
    A lot of videos just say this is broadly working but you can tweak it, without telling you how to tweak it.

  • @Bdiers

    I really appreciate this slower, more complete approach! I know RUclips usually pushes people to condense their instruction into a shorter video, but that's not always the best way to teach. Thank you for taking your time with this, I feel like I understand the principles much better!

    • @coffeebeanstudio
      @coffeebeanstudio  Год назад

      Thanks Bryan. Yes, I absolutely agree that when teaching taking your time is important. But what you say about RUclips pushing out faster paced videos is very true and I am trying to find the best mix of providing value whilst still pleasing the RUclips algo! :)

      Notes for personal reference:
      TYPES OF MASKS
      - Fusion Masks
      - Power Windows (Color)
      - Qualifiers (Color) - tap on Highlight near the preview to isolate the qualifier area
      - Magic Masks (Color) - Studio Only; as an alternative, creating a polygonal mask and tracking it should still work fine (?)
      - Depth Maps (Edit/Color) - Studio Only

    Thank you. I'm a relatively new user of DaVinci, trying to get familiar with it to support my daughter who is doing film production at University. This is an excellent tutorial, It doesn't assume anyone understands the terms or how any of the functions work and you take the time to explain everything as you go along at a pace that doesn't require ten views of everything you say. Thank you again.

    I like the way you present the big picture first then work towards the details of the subject. This approach makes the lesson easier to follow and more likely to be absorbed in long term memory. Your presentation is good considering that you don't use a prompter or lesson plan. I would recommend either of these for a more polished presentation that doesn't drag in spots. A prompter would also allow you to look directly at the camera and have a more personable feel to the viewer. I think you are an excellent instructor and look forward to your future lesson creations in Resolve. Good work !
