I completely understand the reason for the deletes and the 5" pipe, but why delete the muffler? Just to make it louder? I can't imagine the muffler would provide enough back pressure on that 5" pipe to reduce performance and it might just get rid of that drone, but maybe I'm wrong. I've been wanting a Cummins Ram for a long time, so the mods people do and the reasoning behind them interest me. Thanks for uploading this. Definitely helps give some perspective.
Thank you! I did some paint matching in Max Steel since I did this video. Check out my channel for a quick video of a start up to see the back of it. Max Steel has to be one of my favorite Mopar colors!

Ploppinbass6 what size exhaust are you running? And is your truck tuned? I've seen some tuners that when they are left on the stock tune, you don't get the deep grumble, just a lot of air it sounds like. I keep mine on the +40hp Tow/Haul tune most of the time!
Glad someone else got a LB! They look really good with a nice lift kit. 2-3” is perfect. I’ve been waiting for mine, but I need to rebuild the whole front end! 180k on mine

Mad Mudder DEF is diesel exhaust fluid the selective catalytic reduction system(SCR) uses to reduce the amounts of oxides of nitrogen. DPF is the diesel particulate filter, essentially what catches the soot, and EGR is exhaust gas recirculation, does exactly what it says.
love how it sounds man! how many miles you got in it now? and if i’m trying to make an engine build i got longevity, any recommendations for getting rid of that grid heater bolt?
The truck looks clean!!!!! My dream truck right there. To many guys try to hard to make their truck look good and it ends up looking gay. You got a good stance on that truck and perfect height. The look matches the performance. Its always a good laugh when a guy pulls up with a way over lifted truck, with tires hanging past their studded fender flairs with 7" tip bolted on their 4" pipe and the only mods under the hood is they removed the turbo silencer ring while they installed their cheap cold air intake that doesn't add much HP to their plug and play tune.
Beautiful truck! Mine looks very similar except I have a short bed. Wish I had the 8’! I went with a 4” and no muffler and it is still loud and clear Cummins beauty!

Thank you! They are just called black and milled man, the D538. I don't think the D610 was an option when I ordered mine, or else I would have got that. Mine are definitely more semi gloss black than gloss black. Hope that helps!
Didn't see in the comments... but have you gotten to tow with it yet? Like 8-10,000 lbs? I'd like to know what the "drone" if any is with that on the back I had a '00 6 Speed Cummins, with a 5" straight piped, and going down the road was fine, but put something behind it and man, you heard it the whole time. I have a '16 Cummins now and want to do your set up so your info will help. Great truck and looks like Helena area, where in Mt.?
Hey Jason, I have pulled 7,000 pounds with it and it wasn't bad. I think you would be shocked with how much more quiet the cab will be in your '16 then your '00 based on the improvements in sound detonating. FTE Makes a resonator that will supposedly eliminate the drone and not effect performance or EGTs and it is relatively cheap. I might pick one up just because. Its about a 15 minute install and wouldnt be bad to keep on hand incase youre about to pull heavy. I shot this video in Butte, but I am all over the state. I am from Red Lodge but spending this summer in Colstrip. Where are you located? If close, you could always meet up with me and go for a ride in mine and see if it is something you would like to do with yours.
Dang man! This truck is just freaking awesome! Love that deep rumble! So how's the transmission tuned? It sorta sounds like an old Allison MT series when it's shifting! Do you still have the truck? If so you should do a startup/rev/full throttle takeoff/fly by video of the truck. That exhaust sounds freaking beautiful! What horsepower rating is the truck now that you have the tune?
Thanks man! It is so much better tuned. Like night and day difference from stock haha shifts are so much more crisp and its not always downshifting, plus the throttle is way more responsive! I posted another video that is shorter and has some revs and fly bys. Check it out on my channel! I do still have the truck so if there is something you dont see in that video that you would like to see, let me know and I will work on it :) I have a stock tune, +40hp tune, +70hp and +100hp . I havent ran the +100hp yet because I really want to put better head studs in my truck before I do that haha
Wow that's amazing! I'm a Ram fan, so I love these trucks that sound good. By the way I checked out that video, and it's good, but two things: wind, and no full throttle takeoff. Can you do another video like it, but with no wind and full throttle takeoffs driving away down the road? That would be sick! Please let me know ASAP.
I will see what I can do man! Probably wont do a full throttle take up cause I dont want to blow up my transmission haha but I could do some harder full throttle accelerations. Lots of snow in Montana right now so its a little tough to grab some videos but I will see what I can do!
@@mattmullaney7728 Hi Mate.. truck sounds and looks awsome... i am in the uk running a 2016 3500 6.7 cummins and its going in for a full delete.. i am in need of an exhaust and im thinking i need this 5' system here.. is this a turbo back system? im also running an Aisin Transmission.
Matt Mullaney LOL that is awesome. I’m from Helena, the in-laws live in Butte so we go that way a ton. Love the truck man. I am hoping to buy one in a year or so.
Hi Ken, its pretty well known to be a weak transmission. I had good luck with mine when I owned it but it did go out on the new owner after I sold it to him. The nice thing about the 68RFE is that it is tunable unlike the AISIN.
Thank you! As far as I know, Tyler just increased the rail pressure. I would have to check with him to see what else he did. It shifts much more crisp now though!
Thank you! And it was $1800 for EFI Live with 4 tunes and trans tuning, a Bully Dog GT, and a 5" Stainless Steel Flo pro exhaust. The good thing is that you can sell your stock emission components for roughly half of that if they are all in good working condition. The sooner you do it, the more interested people will be.
I want to do this bad on my 2016 2500 as well. If you don't mind me asking how much did this setup set you back? Also how hard was getting this all put on your truck I assume by yourself? Mine is not a daily driver as I only use it to pull my Bay boat but would love to have the tune and delete. Beautiful truck and man it sounds so good!
It was $1800 with the 5" exhaust. It would be cheaper to do 4" delete pipes but it would also be louder. You can sell your stock emission components for roughly half of that though. They are very valuable! I did it by myself in my garage and it took roughly 5 hours. Mostly just battling exhaust hangers. Pulling the stock exhaust off is the biggest PITA, but I haven't done an EGR Delete yet. Just unplugged it and I heard doing that is the worst. We shall see. I recommend deleting it, you will not be happier! Especially pulling a boat. Probably get an exhaust with a muffler though. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Nice looking truck! How is that rough country leveling kit holding up? With the exhaust, what advantages are there running directly from the turbo as to having a muffler?
Thank you! Its doing great. Its basically been on my pick up for 44 thousand miles and I have zero complaints. The only advantage to having a muffler is that it will be much quieter, but they are designed to keep your EGT temps as low as a straight through exhaust if you're running a 5". 4" exhausts will hold the heat a lot more and you'll get higher EGT temps wit it whether you're running a muffler or not. 5" isn't really necessary unless you're making big power or towing real heavy all the time from what I understand. I just think a 5" sounds best in my opinion!
Matt Mullaney your truck sounds awesome! I'm new to the Cummins community and I'm getting ideas on how to set up the rig. Don't plan on doing too much towing so 4" inch is the way to go. Which deletes do i have to do? Would it be wise to wait till my warranty is up?
It's actually pretty reasonably quiet in the cab. But still nice to hear a rumble like this. Nice truck man, you did well.
Thank you! It is very quiet in the cab for how loud it is on the outside. Its nice to hear it at times though, makes you remember how much of a beast it really is haha I appreciate the kind words!

Awesome truck great sound.
Like the look of the stance. What size of tires and wheels did you go with? Do you have a lift?
Ram Tough thank you!
It's just a Rough Country 2.5" leveling kit with 20x12 -44 Fuel Mavericks and 35x12.5 Fuel M/Ts!
Sounds baddass!!!😎🙌
Nice and quiet though gotta like that, no drone like 4''
Dude that sounds awesome!!!! I'm wanting to do my 2014 like this!!

I so want to do this! Nice video !!!
You'll love it! Thank you!!
Great video!!! Now I want to do this to my truck lol
Sweet sweet truck man... if u don't mind me asking is it just a leveling kit and what size tires are those! Sweet combo.
Mitchell Garrity thanks man! Yes it's just a 2.5" leveling kit and it's running 35x12.5s on 20x12 -44 wheels!
Matt Mullaney and they look great! Thanks for the reply I liked and shared ur video
Mitchell Garrity thanks man I appreciate it!!
how's the trans holding up with the tunes? I'll be getting a new Cummins soon, can't wait!
More solid then ever. Trans tuning helps it so much. I hope you enjoy yours man! The new ones are sweet!
Matt Mullaney awesome thanks for the reply! Love the truck, looks great!
I appreciate it man! Let me know if you have any questions with yours when you get it!
Matt Mullaney appreciate it!
Is that Elk Park @ 8:19?
You bet it is!
Matt Mullaney LOL that is awesome. I’m from Helena, the in-laws live in Butte so we go that way a ton. Love the truck man. I am hoping to buy one in a year or so.
Is 68 tranny reliable and strong enough? This truck is a beast
Hi Ken, its pretty well known to be a weak transmission. I had good luck with mine when I owned it but it did go out on the new owner after I sold it to him. The nice thing about the 68RFE is that it is tunable unlike the AISIN.
@@mattmullaney7728 im gonna go aisin, stock power on an18 will b ok for me
If you don’t mind me asking how much does a delete like this cost all said and done? Been wanting to do the same to my pick up
Love the video
In what ways did you tune the trans?
Thank you! As far as I know, Tyler just increased the rail pressure. I would have to check with him to see what else he did. It shifts much more crisp now though!
Nice truck man and good video! If you dont mind me asking how much it cost to delete new trucks? Keep them videos coming thx
Thank you! And it was $1800 for EFI Live with 4 tunes and trans tuning, a Bully Dog GT, and a 5" Stainless Steel Flo pro exhaust. The good thing is that you can sell your stock emission components for roughly half of that if they are all in good working condition. The sooner you do it, the more interested people will be.
beautiful truck
Sounds like mine. Ha. Nice. Like that color of the truck
fantastic truck!
Thank you man!
@@mattmullaney7728 where did you order the 5’’ exhaust from?
Howd you like t&k tunes? talked to him on the phone about my truck, super nice guy, would just like to get your input. thanks
Hell yea bud🤙 love the truck..👍
Thanks man!!
What size wheels and tires are you running? Good looking truck!
cody hayman 20x12 -44 with 35x12.50 Toyo MTs! Thanks man!
How smooth is the ride quality?
