Is it possible to purchase the DRL module instead of the power module headlight ballast?
Maybe but it’s be hard to find because it’s not a “serviceable” part. You have to pull the lens and completely disassemble the headlight to change them
My suggestion would be either buy a new headlight or find a donor headlight to swap the parts from
hello nice demonstration video I can ask you where you can find the transparent tube that you remove at the minute 11:40 I have a problem with the headlight of the Ford transit custom that that tube is yellowed,I find myself with a white and a yellow light, a new light costs € 600.I wish I could replace only in transparent tube.
Well this is an Audi headlight so I’m not to sure how the ford headlight is set up but I would try looking on eBay or Ali express

On the headlight, I have a yellowed one. Can we all just take a moment to stop and curse the much-vaunted "German engineering" that is supposedly so superior. This is a fail of epic proportions that the LEDs self destruct when the car is still very young, and that headlight assembly can cost between $2400 to three times that to replace if you go to a dealer.
Yes all the Audi headlights are very expensive I fixed mine and custom painted the inside for a fraction of what what new headlights would’ve been
Yes, ridiculous. Mine went yellow at year 5...smh
The glue idea sucks. In the near future there will be cracks along the seam and water will get in after washing.
It was necessary to remove the remnants of the old sealant completely and glue the new glass onto the polyurethane sealant exactly as the original was pasted.

The headlights I put on my own car I did that and used the proper glue that came with the headlights the JB weld was just an idea to see if work and it’s still 6 months later no leaks
Just get a new one .only $2000
I spent about 40 on new DRL tubes and 130 on lens I’d rather spend 190 over 2000 any day lol

@@dontsugarcoat2729 you are correct it’s better to just get a new headlight assembly at this point. They will last longer again and now u can put a ppf over them to extend their life since u know their value now. If u want to go through blood sweat and tears if you’re not crafty this would be a cheap way but down the line u might put a smudge inside the lenses on accident and now ur ocd will kick in and in maybe a year later dust will start collecting inside if not sealed properly. That’s a headache imo
@@bourboncat9229it’s about 5 months since I finished them and I’ve had no issues yet I took them apart originally to paint the insides and you definitely have to be super careful of smudges and dust but it was totally worth it changed the whole look of the car having them painted
Sonic cutter is FAR superior to a dremel. Dremels make way too much of a mess and easy to screw things up. As for baking, 300 is waaaaay too much heat. Lower temps with more time would have loosened up that permaseal. 200-210 for 15 minutes. Slowly work the seal with a flat head. Comes apart easy every time, to the point you should almost never have to cut headlights open. That applies to all lights sealed with permaseal. As for german cars....always over engineering everything. So many things they could have done to simplify and make even their lights so much better. Yes, I have built these lights many times. Probably 100 or so, on top of countless other types of cars over the last 12 years. Good stuff though. Very detailed on the walk through for those willing to attempt the build on their on. But I highly suggest practicing on something easier before a set of these. Like some Hyundai lights. Or even some domestics.
Yeah some practice would’ve been good but I’m more of a wing it and go kinda person. But I have had the headlight in the oven for over 30 mins on 300 and the glue was not budging I’m not sure what they used to seal them but it was really strong stuff
