Dude I've been looking for this particular arcade game for a long long time. I used to play this one a lot back in the '90s at local arcades in my hometown but I had completely forgotten its name & thought I'd never see it again because I couldn't remember the game's name. The same thing happened with Tecmo Knight, another game I played alot of back in the day but ended up forgetting its name as well until recently finding it here on RUclips. Thank you so very very much for uploading this my good man👍
I honestly remember playing this in the arcades long ago. At first I didn't recognize it, but seeing Titi again jogged my memory. That is a character you can't really forget *shudders* ew.
Back in the good ol' days, I used to always play this particular game with Titi when my friends and I went to the Arcade. I was rather decent with him too.
This game is always in the back of my head... When I think of my youth, the arcades of yore....Always remember it.Some memorable things about it: -The characters are BIG! love the sprite work..... -The announcer and the intro always capture me.Even from far away..."MAARTIAL CHAAMPION!" and I just had to look for the cabinet. -Great music... As a Ryu fanboy in those days,I don't have to tell you who I picked most of the time(Ho o' Ken!!!) I was always curious as to how Rachael and Chaos played....(They looked amazing,though.... >:E) Salamander scared the living daylights out of me the first time I saw him.
Finding this game via descriptions and keywords? Sounds like a nightmare. xD It was quite generic. I guess you can find it by browsing a list of all fighting games. That's how I eventually found an obscure game from my youth, Zero Divide.
I remember playing this in the arcade. Back when we would put a quarter/quarters on the arcade screen signifying we had next game lol. Kids these days are missing out big time.
1solo9 I remember those days! We’d put a token on the screen to ensure we got next game. These were the days when crowds would form for the newer/popular games (Mortal Kombat 1-3, Killer Instinct, Tekken, etc.)
I remember seeing this game at a movie theater in Boston, Massachusetts about 25 years ago. It must have been hooked up to some other apparatus because the sound boomed from the cabinet and I believe there was a projection of the matches on a screen. It attracted quite a crowd and really left an impression on me. Now, it seems the game has been lost to time. Thanks for the longest and for jogging my memory of this game!
I remember we had this at sandwich shop in Philly back in 1996. My mom was watching me play when waiting for our food and she said "Did he say that guy's name was TITTY?"
This definitely brought back some memories, arguably the greatest knockoff of Street Fighter at the time. Rachael was always my favorite character (I was 11 at the time), but not only for the physique, her moves were the most versatile and effective against every other character, including Salamander. Oddly enough, the second best character was Jin, for much the same reason, his moves were highly effective against every other opponent. The weakest characters were Zen and Mahambah, I could never beat Salamander with either of them.
this is one of the very few true 1v1 fighting games Konami released back in the day. I actually really liked this game and thought it had a good look and feel to it. I didn't really play much like Street FIghter, Mortal Kombat, or other fighting games of the time. It was sorta it's own thing and it was fun.
Was this game, by any chance, made by the tmnt tournament fighters team? The feel is very similar, specially the jumping. As always, thanks for the memories. Cheers from México.
We had this game at my home arcade in Erie Pennsylvania at the Millcreek Mall. We played it for a couple months, and then it sat in the corner and collected dust. I liked the game it was just too easy.
I've been trying to remember the name of this game forever finally found it, I burnt so many tokens on this in the arcade as a kid now to find an emulator 🤪
*WHAT ARE THE ODDS!?* I just downloaded the characters of this game for the M.U.G.E.N. I did randomly find them browsing and I said: "..yyy...es.. I remeber this game. I saw it once, inside a carnival's arcade" And some hours later... this video. Life is strange. -BETMARK-
This cabinet was in the arcade room of my hometown: I always found it a really crappy game, even if the graphics and the sound were awesome for that period. Even at its time, the gameplay was veeery sloppy due to the weird control response and poor animations, plus at the semi-final the cpu starts to cheat as fu*k with the opponent moves with the result to make the game irritating as hell! It was the very poor version of Street Fighter II, even if it brang some innovation of weapons use. In my opinion, the "infamous" Fighter's History was a lot better in the gameplay. That says everything.
Konami should work out some concepts prior to making a fighting game!! The first issue in this game is swapping Chaos' (the Chinese Yokai) and Titi's (the Egyptian gal) names, I see no point in this, why not simply change her name from Titi to Nefera?! Using the same stage for multiple opponents, the inability to face ALL the playable characters b4 the boss...
... Have you never been to Instagram? xD Also, Japanese games tend to give ridiculous ages to anime girls, like 14-18 years of age while looking like *that*... So the fact that, for once, they made one an adult is refreshing.
You have to understand that this game really stood out in arcades because the audio is basically NON STOP SCREAMING.
I lost count how many quarters I spent on this machine. It was very underrated, but ridiculous amounts of fun to play.
Ken is standing behind Goldor and Ryu can be seen standing to the right at 8:58 and 18:38
Street Fighter 5 dlc looks great
Good one
limenine lemonfour thanks :)
It's sad that there are so many cool and awesome fighting games out there but they are permanently overshadowed by the more popular fighting gam3s
Yie Ar Kung Fu.
Lol
I remember noticing this game back in 1993. Played this game till I finally mastered it. Chaos(Titi)the Egyptian was my favorite!

Gotta say, I really like the designs in this game!
Even though some of the characters are rip-offs from other games or people, it's still decent work!
I honestly remember playing this in the arcades long ago. At first I didn't recognize it, but seeing Titi again jogged my memory. That is a character you can't really forget *shudders* ew.
It's just a kyonshi! They're familiar to me, having played Darkstalkers and Phantom Fighter for the NES.
Titi's and Chaos's names were switched for the US version. Titi was meant to be short for Nefertiti.
Back in the good ol' days, I used to always play this particular game with Titi when my friends and I went to the Arcade.
I was rather decent with him too.

Rachel and Goldor are still awesome, even today.
Loved playing this in Vegas when arcades dominated the strip
I remember playing this in the arcade. Back when we would put a quarter/quarters on the arcade screen signifying we had next game lol. Kids these days are missing out big time.
I always wanted to vist a arcade

Used to pump so many quarters into this coin-op.
Good times😎
I was addicted to this game when I was a kid in the 90s. I don’t believe it ever came out on a console.
It came out on PC Engine CD
the main character,Jin,is supposed to be same guy as the one from Yie Ar Kung Fu
Great soundtrack

*OREO KING*
lol
Jin is basically a poor man's Ryu.

I never seen a fighting game where the life bar is on the bottom .
You guys stay finding these gems few others may ever know.

Played more like Konami's earlier Yie Ar Kung Fu... In fact this was supposed to be a sequel originally.
18:37 it's cool that he was partying with Grace Jones and Ryu from Street Fighter back then
This a dope soundtrack and I'm assuming Goldor and Jin is rival since the intro showed those 2
Goldie is simply a Sagat ripoff
Was this game, by any chance, made by the tmnt tournament fighters team? The feel is very similar, specially the jumping. As always, thanks for the memories. Cheers from México.

In this game, the shoryuken is a fireball...
Funny.
I love that arcade I played when I was a kid it's cool
wtf lol street fighter and samurai showdown had a baby
Add Fatal Fury and Karnov's Revenge on the mix.
@goggles789 wtf was that for ?!?! (Seriously that is mean)
Congrats street fighter and samurai showdown !
You gavr birth to a beautiful baby
I've been trying to remember the name of this game forever finally found it, I burnt so many tokens on this in the arcade as a kid now to find an emulator 🤪
Jin. Win.
Everything wanted to be Street Fighter 2 back then!😂😂😂
OREEEOOOKEN!!!
It sounds so much like 'shoryuken'
Chaos= Menat of sfv.
Better than Menat imo.
I remember playing this as a kid and thinking it was amazing. Only now do i realize that the signature move of Jin is a complete rip of Ryu's....

This is better than Street Fighter 5
zen = kyoshiro from samurai shodown
That joker looking character was a threat
Chun-Li: I have the biggest thighs in gaming!
Rachael: Oh, yeah? (crushes three watermelons at once)
Zen is the Kyoshiro of this game.
wowwww exelente great memories
Heh, should have went with Rachael. Oddly enough I still have memories of this game. It really looked good at the time.
+World of Longplays (cubex55) Well yeah I did. My bad there :) You did well btw.
+BeyondDaX Rachael, Rachael, Rachael. She is literally the only thing people remember about this game. I wonder why.
Aside from the obvious answers. Her design is better suited on triple A fighting games like Street Fighter. She is that memorable.
Hummmm...Zen remebers my Senryo kyoshiro of samurai shodown
Arcade lo mejor ❤
My first time seeing this!
4:28 chaos foot?! WTF
I played this game at a former local arcade as a kid, thought it was the greatest fighting game damn it didn't age well 😂😂😂😂
Taylor Swift is Egyptian?
Rachel is easily one of the hottest girls in the history of the tournament fighting games.
My question is why is the Champ breaking into the tournament? Couldn't wait?
A low ranking video game and forgotten 😢
I wish they could put it on the Nintendo switch. 😒, Forget it.
What's the song at 5:57? Tuuuuuune!
Die JAMMA-Platine von "Martial Champion" hatte ich auch Mitte der 1990er Jahre. Das Game machte mir aber keinen rechten Fun.
thx!
Hongkong over-with my only playa
Best fighting next to Street Fighter
I saw a cover of this game and it was horrible but the game looks great.
Too bad you can’t pick up Bobby’s Brass Knuckles…

Who is in charge of security for this tournament?
Is it possible to play character vs same character in this game?
What I Hear ? 'Shoryuken ! ! ! " hahahahhaha
Motherfucking OLLLOOOKEEENNN
IMPOSIBLE COMO EL SOLO
Konami used to make some extra cheesy games back then
My game once i get Titi game-over for anyone's
The question is, which country is the CHAMPION from?
stormxjp from space colony
18:41 why her age is unknown?
Gameshakers
I used to kill this game at Walmart
Konami should've developed a *Yie Ar Kung Fu III* instead of this generic SFII clone.
OST is good but game quality is low.
Female characters are attractive
Looks like World Heroes, but worse, if that's possible.
