I like the real time - and the voice overs. I really love your work and that you are sharing. Yes I had my coffee and it felt like I had a friend over with me. Thank you
Hi Marena! I am painting along with you. I'm new to watercolor and just stumbled upon this tutorial. I loved it so much that I had to try it. I'm only as far as the 2nd layer of the sky but, you teach so well that I'm sure I'll be able to complete this in a day or two. Btw...I also enjoyed your tutorial on the flowers using dots of colors and a flat brush. I tried it and they came out beautifully! Thanks for teaching and sharing. I look forward to what you come up with next. 👍👍🧡 Also, I personally enjoy the real-time videos. The step-by-step instructions are very helpful for me. Thank you. You're doing a fabulous job! 🎨🖌🌚💕
Samesies right now. I'm using three different paper types to see how they compare to one another, so I'm actually painting 3x. 😅 The commentary is so relaxing, too.
Hey they're your brushes! If you want to use them the way you do who cares, they're yours! Like you mentioned you want to focus on painting not your brushes and I totally agree with you. We paint for relaxation and because it makes us happy. Thanks for the tutorial. Have a great day!
I like real time videos! The time lapse videos make me jumpy. I watch them through first then paint with. I can jump ahead as needed. This moon and mountain is beautiful! I plan to paint along in the next few days.
Thank you for this tutorial! Got the background and did the mountain before the moon! First two moons (1 egg shaped, one flattened top) but third got pretty close! Usually use acrylics but to see through practices with gouache and stars finding must get right consistency or looks like white “watered down splatters” or to many. Ty!!
It's a very beautiful picture, i think that with some mountain shadows it will be even better. Like the moon light on the mountain. But you're very talented and i like your video😊
@@MarenaART That is the beauty of art. However to make it just right it takes talent and you were born to be an artist. Never allow anyone to tell you otherwise. You are also a great teacher. Makes me wish I was young again and had you as my art teacher.
What a lovely picture! I was looking for some inspiration since I am new to painting and trying a new hobby..You made me want to dive right in and paint along with you! Thank for for posting!
I loved doing this painting along with you! You made it really easy to follow along with you being in real time. I appreciate your style as a beginner, i wasn't discouraged at any point. I will subscribe and look forward to watching more of your videos.
Hi Renata, I liked this intriguing moon watercolor very much. I did it and it came out nice. I had trouble with getting the night sky right, it took me 3 coats of indigo, I’m just getting to laying a wash properly. Your advice was spot on, I liked painting with you. Thanks!
Water colour is the hardest medium, you should practice the wash it's hard to master, don't give up,I've been painting with water colours for thirty years and this lady makes it look very easy ,just take your time and have fun.☺
I really enjoyed your video. I paint with acrylics and have never seen a water color. I will need to try this ,it looks like fun. I love how the paint flows and how you can put pigment in and take it out again. It’s beautiful.
I loved your tutorial! It was so fun to follow along. I'm new to watercolor and so I learned a lot from doing and making mistakes. Yours is so cool! I love it!
I am making an outdoor Halloween prop in which I have a witch flying over a full moon and I want to add the stars the way that you did in your painting. Would you suggest dipping your paint brush in water first before applying the paint or omit adding water and just use paint? Very informative video, love your technique.
Depending on the thickness of your paint. If it is not too thick to splatter it from your brush, then don`t add water. Otherwise, you would need to... :)
I just painted along with you and I was using sakura koi watercolors, and it turns out sooo good. the same like you I also keep adding paint on the moon and I like the result. Thank you for making this video 😊
LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! I've been following you for about a month and I just found these real time ones. Thank you!!! (Also - I love what you said about your brushes - haha)
Thank you so much Renata- this looks so amazing and effective! Thank you for another realtime painting too- it really is wonderful company, especially in these times 💙💧
Hey I'm a beginner in watercolour painting and i used simple white watercolour for stars but it almost merged in the background when it dried..and i don't have white gouache...ca you please suggest what can i do to improve this! And your channel is amazing! Love your work!
White watercolor is transparent so when it dries it becomes basically invisible. You should use white gouache or white acrylic or any white paint that is opaque. Maybe white marker if you have. Or use masking fluid to mask dots as stars before painting. Hope that helps.
I love this video. Like that you keep talking & explaining. But talk about what you consider your failing? Of being so attuned conscientiously to the painting. If you had quit before you were completely ready we would not have received such a firm understanding of adding color as well as taking away!
Because you asked for critique, here is mine. You have over 17k subscribers, they all like what you already do. A good mix of short, long, "paint with me" tutorials, or even just called projects, a "Let's paint!" approach is good. It will appeal to a wide range of viewers. Voice overs are good for teasers, showing a quick process to inspire people. A 10-minute project and a 30-minute project are both appealing. I'll watch both according to my available time. Don't try to overthink the process just like overthinking the painting. Now the critical portion of this. You worry too much. Stop apologizing for every little thing. That is a turn-off. People come to watch, to learn, to be inspired, to solve a problem with their own painting. Not everyone will ignore the sorry if, sorry for, and sorry I didn't entertain you. I was painting with you because I needed help in solving a problem. If it weren't for that I would have just left and gone on to another video. So please, stop apologizing. Just paint. Just explain the thought process. So yes, maybe once in a while take your viewers on a journey through how you "play" without a plan. Because some people don't know how or don't trust their own ability to just create without an image to work from. I appreciate what you do. Thank you. Keep on painting!
Thank you for your honest critique. It was an older video and I do try now not to do that. Even though it is part of who I am, you have a point. I need to have a bit more faith in what I do and in people who watch and love watching my videos. But for some reason, when going into this, I did not think I would have this amazing support. :) Thank you again and all best to you.
@@MarenaART Thank you. If I could I would give it a heart. You've come a long way and your work has improved greatly. You're right, have faith, believe in what you're doing, enjoy the process, and just do you. Be blessed.

Very Nice! Really enjoyed seeing your full process. I will definitely be painting this one.
That moon looks like you dragged it out of the sky and brought it down to Earth. It looks like one could reach out and touch it. So lovely!
It was actually like that couple of weeks ago. So huge. I felt just like that - like I could touch it. :)

Which colour we can use instead of indigo??plssss reply
Maybe you can use Payne's grey, or Payne's grey and dark blue (e.g. Ultramarine) mix

What tape do you use to tape your paper down please ?
Just some regular washi tapes. Not any particular. :)
What size are your watercolor paper on theses paintings
It is Clairefontaine Fontaine cold pressed watercolor paper 300gsm or 140lb, size 18 x 24 cm or 7 x 9.5 in
I love the painting. The only issue for me is that when there is full moon, you basically cannot see the stars. Other than that, really pretty.
