  • What does the beautiful song Daemon Targaryen sings to Vermithor mean? (House of the Dragon, Season 1) There has been some debate over the meaning of this Old Valerion song. What is the melody's translation and how does it relate to the bond between dragon and rider?

It is a beautiful song, thank you for covering it! I've always wondered about it! It's hauntingly beautiful! Vermithor coming out of the darkness is wonderful!

Fun fact, Jahaerys (Vermithor’s former rider & Aemond’s grandfather) used to sing this same song to Vermithor all the time. He would take Aemond with him to go see Vermithor very often

Its very hard to hear the song as Daemon sings it in the episode. It's a beautiful song and I thought it would work better to explain the lyrics that way.
