Such a distinct piece. I've rewatched the scene several times just for the music alone. Ramin Djawadi's score is a jewel, which makes the show shine brighter. Edit: apparently one of the most memorable themes of the season is not included in the official soundtrack lol

She dishonored Targaryan and Valyrian familles with her bastards. When you read Fire and Blood and you don't have this parallel between Rhaenyra and Daenerys you see things in a really différent way - on old black turned to green

I was more Team Black in season 1, but this time I am fully commited to Team Green. Rhaenyra pissed me off way too much, she is a good, likeable woman, but just like her father barely fit to rule. Aegon at least has time to grow

So far his actions were bad for team black too, but at least he had the right idea, which is to act and do SOMETHING. Although the “something” Daemon decides to do is quite disastrous. He is to blame for the child’s death obviously, he is rash, impulsive and hasty. Daemon is a walking, ticking bomb. You gotta throw it at something or it’ll blow up in your face.
Criston may be undeniably an asshole, but he's easily my favourite character on the show right now. Seeing him go from petulant cuck to a horrified philosopher, having an existential crisis as he realises what he has helped unleash, has easily been the most interesting arc in the show to me aside from Viserys. I feel like Criston's almost an inverse Jaime Lannister (almost). I doubt he's going to have a redemption arc, but he's clearly coming to understand he's made a huge mistake and he did it for the most stupid reason. And I think he desperately wishes he could take it back, but there's no putting the dragons back in the box now. He's lost all control of the situation.
