As promised, here's the prelude to the Battle of Rook's Rest, the song of Ice & Fire! I decided to add the rest of the battle soundtrack (A War of Dragons) to the end of this one, so you have a 11-minute piece of roughly the whole battle! Hope you enjoy it!
@JeremyBraunsMusic so I first heard this masterpiece after the 4th episode aired. I told myself that I wouldn't rewatch any episode of season 2 until I finished the entire 8 episodes. I listened to your version for the 4 weeks leading up to the end of Season 2 which is also when the House of The Dragon soundtrack released. I was under the impression for these 4 weeks that you had ripped the audio from the episode and altered it so no background sounds or dialogue would be apparent. I was also under the impression that this is exactly what I heard when watching the actual battle of Rooks Rest. (I hope you're still with me after thar long-winded explanation). Now imagine my shock when I get to listen to the official version from the man Ramin Djawadi himself and realise that it's not what I've been listening to for the 4 weeks eagerly awaiting for the official version. Ramins version sucks...... Your version is superior from start to finish. I can't believe somebody out did him at his own game Really great track my dude. Probably the best I've heard in this genre which I've come to love since starting Game of Thrones. ps. I listen to Ramin tracks everyday so please take this as a HUGE compliment.

Frankly, there's one thing you can't fault about either Game of Thrones or House of The Dragon, and that's the musical atmosphere. I loved the atmosphere of Game of Thrones, and season 1 of House of The Dragon made me cry like crazy. And now, season 2... What can I say? MasterClass.

For me it was Vhagar's wings and the look meleys and rhenys shared! Aemond is a better rider and one of the strongest because of his touch in valyrian and understanding the dragon, i laughed hard at aegon and when he said forward in english lol.

I think perhaps with the exception of the score from Winds of Winter episode, this is Dwaljdi’s best work. You can feel such tense emotion with every turn. The way the stakes are built up. It’s so emotionally constructed. You are feeling the intensity of what is at stake. You can almost feel what the characters are feeling on every note. Well done 👏
His house themes are epic, but this whole battle score for me is one of his best work. Every moment of battle had a music theme... i can not wait for the release of the soundtrack 🔥.
I was waiting for you doing this part... This "Song of Ice and Fire" part at 3:33 during this episode gave me chills... when the first real battle in the Dragon Dance on screen began. Such a good serie, such a good episode, such a good soundtrack! The best 8 Mondays for me right now hahaha. I think this is one of the best soundtrack Ramin Djawadi has composed. It reminds me of Hans Zimmer a lot actually, especially Pirates of the Caribbean (first 2 minutes) and Gladiator (What I assume was Rhaenys theme) in some aspects

Amazing, we feel the emotions , the heavy consequence about the secret of the song of ice and fire and what’s we all know gonna happen … Sadly this family war destroyed the Targaryen hope and their power , without that I think Daenerys wouldn’t be the last Targaryen and we will have a better G.O.T endings anyway … We willl forever remember Rhaenys and Melys ❤️
I have rewatched this episode way too many times ,just to hear this score 😅 only for common sense to dawn and I searched it and found. This score is beyond.....don't know why but it has that GOT vibe like shiiiii is about to get serious.
For people asking why did Rhaenys turn Around? Because she was winning. She fucked up Sunfyre and Aemond did the rest. Then Meleys used seismic toss on Vhagar which was super effective. She was winning. Until she wasn't.
Somehow they made the most of this prophecy in the series. Especially considering that in the Game of Thrones, the King of the Night was killed by Arya, and Bran began to rule Westeros. And in the House of the Dragon, the prophecy was made the main reason why Rhaenyra supposedly should rule. Even the fact that she told Jace, who will not be king, about this looks strange. Well, at least the soundtrack is epic.
@@stefanciocan1605 Martin himself said that he told the writers how everything should end. The only problem was that they themselves had to write the path to the finale. But after the failure of season 8, Martin quickly calmed down, and half a year later he announced that, in fact, there would be a different ending in the books. The irony is that he is not going to write it))
The Vaghar Takes Flight part (6:14) is so epic and so simple. It translates very well the surprise and the fear of everyone staring at it... and at the same time, it's very majestic for Vaghar. Goosegumps

Ramin is such a blessing to this shows, he has created an unique and rich musical world for them, every piece, released and unreleased is amazing. Thank you for doing this, there's still a few weeks to go before we get this season's soundtrack. Listening to this makes me wonder, why did Aegon The Conqueror decided to keep his dream a secret, it seems like that chosing to hide such an important thing is what caused all this mess, did he told his sisters? I'm thinking maybe Rhaenys believed him but Visenia didn't, perhaps he didn't tell them, or it was the dream itself, it's nature, that prompted him to reveal it just to his heir to pass on the next heir on and on. But it's sad, The other Targaryens not knowing about the real threat coming is what makes them fight each other.
I love the tv show but it says alot when im even more hyped for the soundtracks more than anything else. The hotd and GoT music absolutely has never let us down.

Even though Rhaenyra's monolog was just annoying (this whole prince that was promised and I am too benevolent to go to war for my right of inheritance) this sequence was the closest this series came to cinematic perfection: Meleys & Rhaenys, Sunfyre & Aegon bonding moments, the battle plan, the scale, the visuals, the dragons fighting and the cherry on top, the casualties

this is based on books, GoT ending is not considered canon right now. Since Martin did not finish the books we do not know how it will end.
