  • The second battle of tumbleton was just as bloody and horrific as the first, it's impact would do far more damage to both sides of the dance of the dragons could tell at the time. The biggest thing to come from it is the death of some of the final few dragons alive in the world. The march to king's landing for the greens was at an end, with the few lords left calling it a day and going back to their homes. But this was still all too late for Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen who was already on the path to her doom.
    The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on George R R Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.
    Much of the information in the video comes directly from Fire & Blood, with supplementary additions from the wiki and myself to enhance the narrative. I would highly recommend you pick up a copy of fire and blood and read it for yourself as it is criminally underrated.

    I believe at this point, the most important dragon would have been Cannibal The Wild. Now that all the powerhouses are gone (Vhagar, Caraxes, Vermithor) who ever would have been able to tame him would have most likely had the best chance of winning the war. I image, Cannibal would have been just as vicious as Caraxes. No doubt he would have been one of the best fighters in the Dance. I also heard a theory he did not come from the Targaryen linage of dragons but from another (maybe House Belaerys) explaining why he was so difficult to claim by the Targaryens.

      I do wonder if he ever had aa rider at some point that people don't know about. There is a lot of mystery for a lot of the wild dragons honestly and where they exactly came from with fire and blood being intentionally vague

      I don't buy the "Targaryen Lineage" argument. In the end, I'm sure the Valyrians had many Dragons who've flown and mated around from time to time. The idea they had certain bloodlines that were only tied to certain families, while isn't outside the realm of possibility, I find would be a bit much. They had control over them better than the Targaryens do now, so I mean, they'd always be loyal to their bonded rider, and I doubt there would be much Dragon theft considering what the response would be.
      I'm sure he just had a strong personality, like many of the older Dragons we know of. He preferred to be alone, was easily angered, and if, say he had a battle with another dragon while young, and he ate that dragon afterwards for sustenance after such combat, maybe he grew a taste for dragonflesh, and perhaps Dragon blood, flesh and bone all have magical properties as well, and would be a rich source of food/energy for any living thing, another dragon included.

      At this point, Baela actually has the most capable dragon. Had she not tried to fight Sunfyre head on, she could have destroyed the remaining Greens.

    Honestly, I wouldn't even say it's unlikely that Silverwing would've tried to rouse Vermithor, considering he was her long-time mate. They were known to have often coiled with one another, a close bond due to their riders being the married couple Jaehaerys and Alysanne.

    The Battles of Tumbleton are some of the most gruesome in all of the dance to me, I really really hope House of the Dragon captures the importance of both battles and depict it as it is in the book.🙏

    I get that Aegon the third probably was scared shitless when it came to dragons after you know what, but honestly he should have tried to tame silverwing after the dance, she was near her mid 90’s during the dance and when he finally took the throne she couldn’t have been more than 115 which is still a good age with many more for her to live out, plus I’m positive she could have laid eggs in dragonstone for a future generation, also at that point Aegon (had he done this) would have been the most powerful person in the world having the largest war tested she dragon with scales too hard to cut into

      Well technically the full targaryen side won out (the blacks) while the lesser targaryen (half targaryen greens) lost, it was at a heavy cost obviously, but as Daeron the good said many years later, too many dragons are as dangerous as too few, and this is a prime example

    It's rather sad silverwing & her "cousin" 😔
    I personally think it's true cause while I do HATE the last season of got, if drogon can feel for Danys death, surly silverwing could (especially if it's her own kin)(kinda like how in a previous video I stated how "Robin" the candle makers daughter could have been real. Save the part of her being a candle maker)

    • @WorldOfWesteros
      @WorldOfWesteros  2 года назад +2

      There is 100% some telepathy involved with the dragon riding thus they definitely have a emotional reaction to a riders death or them being in peril. And i think there is enough evidence in the books and the show that the dragon definitely have relationships with each other and personalities, they do grieve and feel the loss of their kin

      I don't know why he would do that. With Silverwing on there side they could have taken back Kingslanding on bahalf of King Aegon. Along with the Baratheon host marching down there, they could have beaten the Stark host and what was left of the Riverland forces. Then kill Ulf the White after
