Thanks! Yah this weather has been awesome. One of my favorite times of the year. Trying to get out as much as possible now while it’s still nice. My goodness I’ve never heard of the Loop. Just looked into it and it’s officially on my list of must dos haha. That bike path looks amazing, and it’s 131 miles.
Just got my bike couple of days ago. Love it. One thing that I was shocked by is the size of the screen. It appears large in all the videos but to me it is about the size of 3x5 card. It is sufficient to read but caught ne by surprise.
Glad you’re enjoying it :). It’s definitely a fun bike to cruise around on. As for screen size, I bet it’s because the focus is on the screen in the videos. It’s good you’re still able to read it though. You can also dim the screen or make it brighter to help with contrast so it’s even easier to read.
Another great informative video and something I will be using soon. That's because after watching a few of your videos on the Lectric XP 3.0, I used your link and ordered one for myself. I'm looking forward to my own Summer Time Adventures.
Thank you so much! I'm glad the videos have been helpful. Enjoy the ride and have fun! Riding this bike around town has helped me discover places I didn't even know existed.
@@tomsgadgetgarage An update on my Lectric XP 3.0. I ordered and received my Lectric ebike and love it! It is absolutely amazing, the ebike is comfortable to ride and goes up the hills in my area with no problem. Everything works well, no squeaking brakes or other problems. I really like the cruise control, just set it and relax. 😃
Thanks! I try and cover as much as possible in the videos that might be relevant for folks. PAS sensitivity was a big one that helped improve my riding experience.
Hello! There is no option to increase headlight brightness. You can buy a handlebar mounted light that will help with forward and side visibility. That’s what I’ve done in the past. I’ve found that most e-bikes come with pretty basic headlights that aren’t the brightest.
Im on the xpedition, love it, but I wish I could remember how to save top speed on the display, its a simple setting but I cannot find anyone on youtube with that info.
I feel it mostly when pedaling from a stop. Once I get going I don’t really notice a delay. What’s nice about Lectric is they give you the option to adjust it. Some e-bikes, not so much.
You know, I thought about this a while back because I had the same question. I think it comes down to control. If you’re just getting situated on the bike and push the pedals, the delay is a bit more forgiving. With zero delay, the motor would immediately kick in. And with cadence sensors, that power does come on a bit strong.
I’ve played around with some other settings but haven’t focused much on them lately. I plan to dive in deep again and shift my focus back the XP 3.0 again now that I’ve wrapped some scooter content. Any recommendations?
I haven’t but I’ve seen similar bikes with 750W motors. I’d imagine the swap would be relatively straightforward. Definitely a plus that all components are basically plug and play.
You know, I haven't seen that option in the settings menu functions. I'll double check but I don't believe it's there. I was thinking the same thing the other day. I hop on and I'm like, what the heck is this? I'm doing all the work lol.
You do not need this. Simply before start pedaling with your control display already on, turn PAS1 or 2 if you want with the first pedal effort to kick start from stop. At least this works wonderfully using my very equipment similar to Lectric XP 3.0 step-thru Aipas A2 Elite e-bike.
I just got mine and it has 22 settings and came with no manuals 😢 thanks I really just wanted to unlock the class three. I don’t care if I’m in a class 1 spot those kids at the playground can watch out.
So I got curious about how you set it to class 3 and looked at the manual. "NOTE: This setting represents the top speed in kilometers per hour. For Class 2 performance, this speed setting must not exceed 20 mph (32 km/h). For Class 3 performance, this setting will be set at 100, indicating the bike has been completely unlocked to enable speeds of up to 28mph."
The presenter missed to point out very important change when one switches p08 menu to class 3 bike (i.e., 28mph vs. class 2 ebike setting, 25mph). In this case except the higher max speed change most riders do not care about, this setting will disable the throttle, which most rider care about. So having max speed setting up to 28mph later can be reached only with assisted pedaling mode, no throttle will be available unless the rider goes back and switched back to class 2 e-bike with max allowed speed of 20mph. At least what I understood from other videos and my own switching, right
You need to go into the settings menu and verify P09 is 0, P10 is 2, and P11 is 0 or 1 (personally I suggest 1). These settings will have the throttle on without pedaling and be fairly responsive.
Some of the riders who reply to above my text obviously are not grasping that according the e-bike regulations in the state, on many trails are not allowed Class 2 e-bikes because of the throttle option in play. So, using LCD M5 display power switch pad and converting Lectric XP 3.0 step-thru or its almost identical cousin A2 Elite e-bike to Class 3 (up to 28 mph max speed) the program p08 disables automatically the throttle. In this case the increased max speed is achievable only with PAS 5. While the settings other riders are mentioning using alternative P-setting options could keep the throttle active up to 28 mph speed?!
I got the 3.0 long range its honestly a bummer on my point of view, i lost my car so i had to get a commuter bike and this one said good range but all ive gotten have been 15 miles max full charge pas5 nonstop pedalling and about 25 ish with pas 3 pedalling, and full throttle only gives me about 15 miles not even at 20 mph, the motor have smell like burned and alot pf scratches on the bike already, and not it hasnt been me cuz i only taken it out 3-4 times, so im most likely gonna sell it and go with velotric discover 2 or wired freedom, this bike is such a downer for me, not even worth the money. Oh yeah and no matter what pas, it feels like i ghost pedal all the time not even on pas 1, so either i got a fkd bike or idk
Yah that burnt smell coming from the motor you mentioned doesn’t seem right. I’ve pushed the bike to the limits and never had any sort of burnt or electrical smell coming from the bike. Have you reached out to Lectric? If there’s something wrong with the motor that’s generating a lot of heat, you’re going to lose a lot of efficiency.

Great video, Tom! Excellent info. And... love your presentations... including the subtle humor! Many thanks.
Thank you so much!
All good ideas on how to make it an even better ebike. I'm in Tucson enjoying this great winter weather and riding the Loop!

this video was very helpful, I will try some settings tomorrow
I just took my bike for the first ride today it rides so smooth I love it
That’s awesome! Happy riding 😎

I got mine 13 months ago got 2500 miles on 2nd set of tires I recommend street tires

Watched a ton of reviews of this bike and none mentioned adjusting pas sensitivity. Great tip!
Thanks! I try and cover as much as possible in the videos that might be relevant for folks. PAS sensitivity was a big one that helped improve my riding experience.
The 32 represents 32Km or 20 miles/hr. The 100 represents 100Km/hr or 60mile/hr (essentially, no limit).
Thanks that was actually a big help.
No problem! 😃
Awesome video!thanks..
Thank you so much for this 🙏🏼
Anytime! Let me know if you have any questions about anything with the Lectric XP 3.0 😊.
can you turn the brightness of headlight up? its horrible when riding at night I can't see anything

Anytime! Have fun riding :)
I did a reset for speed on my bike it still says about 19 to 20 but it feels quick so i'm good
Yah 16 -18 mph is my sweet spot. Unlocked, the bike will go up to 28 mph but those speeds aren’t really very fun haha.
Im on the xpedition, love it, but I wish I could remember how to save top speed on the display, its a simple setting but I cannot find anyone on youtube with that info.
I got an Xpeak with the 3inch fat tires I was hesitant about but having that extra with at the 20-28mpg it’s pretty dang sturdy
Yah the 3" fat tires are nice. Definitely confidence inspiring at speed and riding over bumpy roads/trails.
Thank you
Great video ! New subscriber here! Ty
Hello and thank you! 😊
How does one lower the #1 pas speed factory settings? Mine kicks me up to 12 but i prefer 9 . Can this even be done
You are a manic...thank you sir
Haha! Thanks 😊
I don't feel much of a delay at all with the pedal assist.
I feel it mostly when pedaling from a stop. Once I get going I don’t really notice a delay. What’s nice about Lectric is they give you the option to adjust it. Some e-bikes, not so much.

Anytime! Thanks for watching:)
hey i have the xp 3.0 but when i go to turn up the speed in po8 the number won’t go above 32 it just blinks any recommendations on what to do???
Hmm, so even when you use the +\- buttons it doesn’t change at all?
P11, the Pedal Assist Sensitivity setting. Why would anybody want any delay?
You know, I thought about this a while back because I had the same question. I think it comes down to control. If you’re just getting situated on the bike and push the pedals, the delay is a bit more forgiving. With zero delay, the motor would immediately kick in. I’ve played around with some other settings but haven’t focused much on them lately. I plan to dive in deep again and shift my focus back the XP 3.0 again now that I’ve wrapped some scooter content. Any recommendations?
@tomsgadgetgarage have you heard of any 750 watt or larger motor swaps?
I haven’t but I’ve seen similar bikes with 750W motors. I’d imagine the swap would be relatively straightforward. Definitely a plus that all components are basically plug and play.
Is it possible to set the bike to default to PAS level 1 instead of level 0 (zero) when you initially turn the bike on?
You know, I haven't seen that option in the settings menu functions. I'll double check but I don't believe it's there. I was thinking the same thing the other day. I hop on and I'm like, what the heck is this? I'm doing all the work lol.

Haha! Yah they’ve gone digital with their manuals unfortunately. I prefer paper myself. Enjoy your new bike! 🚴
Can do video about error 10 on that's bike
Hey! So I haven’t run into that particular issue but if I do, I can definitely make a video.
You are good to go (to 28 mph) if you’re pedaling only. 😢
Yah it would definitely be nice if throttle only took you to 28
You can ghost pedal to 28 while using the throttle.
So I got curious about how you set it to class 3 and looked at the manual.
"NOTE: This setting represents the top speed in kilometers per hour.
For Class 2 performance, this speed setting must not exceed 20
mph (32 km/h). For Class 3 performance, this setting will be set
at 100, indicating the bike has been completely unlocked to enable
speeds of up to 28mph."

No, throttle still works to 20 max. Pedal on pas 5 to get 28
Jesus loves you! ❤️

PAS 5. While the settings other riders are mentioning using alternative P-setting options could keep the throttle active up to 28 mph speed?!
@user-mz2kb7rj5q yeah just change those settings to re-enable throttle and totally unlock the bike

LGBT?
The most important setting is p a s initial power so when you start to Pedal you don't fly into something at full speed
That’s a great point!
Thank You!
