Hey so I was wondering if you guys want to see anything specific? Im looking for ideas for some smaller builds and any input is welcome, thank you all!
@@agnafrei yeah the workshop is hard to see haha it is in one of the houses, but no smitty. The idea was that there just setting in and havent build everything yet.
This was an amazing build; also kudos for showing the part of the process where a builder just has to scrap everything and try again but better! It's definitely part of the process and it shows all of us newbie builders that there's no way we'll always get it right from the first try!
I really struggle with this. I've redone a roof or other section of a build that wasn't working, but anytime I've gotten as far as he had in that build that he deleted, I just say "well! that's just how it's going to be," lol. Then I end up with a lot of finished builds that aren't quite right and I'm not completely satisfied with them. I need to learn more patience I guess.
Ty for letting us see your building process and thoughts as you did it. That is so valuable as I learn to build myself and not just copy someone's build board for board. Ty
Mad respect for your building style and your editing methods. I normally dont like when people showcase creative building. But you really made it enjoyable to watch making mistakes and everything..Great job !!!
This is outright amazing. Everything from the conceptualization, design, scale, level of detail and execution is on such a high level and so cool to see. I love longhouses, wood as an material so that helps aswell....Coolest longhouse ive seen in Valheim or real life. This build slaps! im in awe
This is exactly what I've been looking for with the new Ashlands builds. I know a lot of builders are excited for making more modern things, but to me, the longhouses and their ilk are what speak to me. I wanted to figure out how to incorporate the new pieces - I knew the decorative bits were going to be amazing, but this just. Looks so freaking cool. And this build makes it feel more like the Ashlands pieces have been in the game the whole time, rather than feeling tacked in near the end. I would also love to see how you fit the ladders and stairs in so tidily - that's one of the major sticking points I'm having with a dockhouse build I'm working on. I'm playing on a hardcore nomap/noportal server, and the thing I've been having the hardest time with is blending the aesthetics with the practicality and the need for decent defenses against raids.
Suggestion: episode on making stairs not garbage. Fitting stairs into a confined space without them looking terrible is the hardest thing in building in this game. Then half the time when you actually get something you like you can't actually walk up them because there's some imperceptible issue that stops you from moving.
I build a very similar longhouse on top of the Elder Temple, with the stone pillars there I can finish most of it in the bronze age. Your interior is absolutely epic though, I'll be rewatching your build several more times to pick up all you've included. Really well done! Those massive hand-made pillars really need to be added to the game as a build piece IMHO.
JJ. you phking rock. Love how laid back you are, how excellently you describe the builds and especially happy with how much you inspire me to play Val. I play a heavily modded version with a SHT ton more build pieces, so im always amazed when I see builds like yours and others while playing with just the vanilla version of the game. You do a really good job with your content, the music, the way you film it all, thanks man. Its super appreciated
my brother send me this video and I wasn't disappointed. Great build and nice relaxing video, I am gonna dig into your other videos. Keep going and thanks for your work.
I'm curious about how you would design a shipyard. Long decks where goods are stacked stretch along the beach. Rows of boats advance on the sand for maintenance while others, still loaded and heavy, wait in deeper waters. Sails, masts and ropes are made and repaired in a nearby building... Love your building!
There are various stone animal statues available with dev commands. But they are the kind of spawns that always face due south, and cant be destroyed. They require force delete to remove
Would love to be able to replicate this beautiful build but at the speed you move via editing and the cinematic angles, its too hard to try and replicate. 😞

I loved the build but... No smithy and workshop??
or did I just missed it?
@@agnafrei yeah the workshop is hard to see haha it is in one of the houses, but no smitty. The idea was that there just setting in and havent build everything yet.
How about a temple(could be big or small) Or shrine?
Build techniques and tutorials! Especially with the new pieces I wanna see what you come up with.

Some of the new pieces look gorgeous. Very creative build. Luv the style
This is how I want build videos to be. Keep going at it man! Love this!
Taking it back with the thatch roof. Nice. Overall, outstanding build!
Those pillars look phenomenal.
Such a beautiful build. It's what I love about this game. There's no limits to the creativity it allows
beautiful. Love the different roof "layers". I haven't built a thatch roof in some time and you are right, it fits he viking theme the best.

Im glad they added textures to the ashwood
Zo veel details, ziet er ziek uit! Ook de muziek keuze voor je vids is goed, maakt het super relaxed om naar te kijken ^^

best pillars i've ever seen so far
Stunning build.
Those pillars 🤤
you are a PILLAR of the viking community :)
the Oden pillars are epic!
awesome build! Will you put the new saves on your nexus mod page?
Amazing as always, keep up the good work!
Wow, this is awesome! Would you be open to sharing this one planbuild as a blueprint?
Beautiful once again! How do you lock in the POV for your builds? Is that done with another account/PC, or is there a mod you use?
Second pc
Just WOW
Could be the home of Njord the sea god of norse mythology
One problem with your build.... if a storm were to crop up.... how high up would the waves wash through your longhouse?
This is beutiful!
2:30 Poor boar :(
Could you make an alfheim style build next?
stark!
I would love to see a starter base that can just be upgraded through progression in the game rather than rebuilding every time.
Can you show how to build this step by step?
Pretty cool build but at the begnning of the video I chuckled becuse you greatly overestimated what a Jarl was.
Should be more of a tutorial..not what pieces your are using but how you actually place them.
is the ash beams stronger than iron beams?
I think the new flamemetal beams are the strongest.
Nope

yes exactly ashwood and that stone tiles, are soooo flaaaaaat... :(
why? :O
