    I LOVE IT! I took a break from Valheim and am now getting back into it. You are one of my favorite builders and I checked what you have done first. You did not disappoint. As I watched your build you have inspired me to build it with some minor interior adjustments. Thank you for sharing your wonderful builds.

    Not really a builder, but I have to say, I really love this base. Maybe because of how open it is and the garden.

      I could not remember the original position I hung the lantern. You can simply raise/remove the lantern, if you are having issues using the bed. It is a really easy change to make.

    Love this build! The only issue I am having is that I followed the guide exactly but the hearth does not vent out properly. The smoke keeps spilling into the bedroom area. Same deal with the ovens, their placement immediately sends the smoke to the bedroom. Any advice?

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  3 месяца назад +1

      I actually noticed this recently when playing. I have not made any changes to my own build yet. However, I was considering either widening the chimney, or creating a second layer of the chimney higher up the roof to catch any loose smoke. I think two smaller chimneys looks better than one large chimney. I hope this makes sense. It is difficult to explain the idea through a written message.

    • @HottiGuaddi
      @HottiGuaddi 3 месяца назад +1

      @@phinqs What I ended up doing was placing a small door down where the hearth goes and placing the hearth against that.
      It creates a small enough gap that you wouldn’t really notice running around the base and lines it up so it vents out correctly. Never thought of two chimney layers though, will have to give it a try and see how it looks! Thanks for the ideas!

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  2 месяца назад +1

      @@HottiGuaddi Nice. I think that is an easier solution than modifying the roof. Thanks for sharing!

    will the yellow roof tiles eventually break with storms and rain?

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  16 дней назад

      Good question. No, roof components do not take damage from any weather conditions. Additionally, building components in general, which are not protected by a roof component, will only ever be reduced to 50% health from weather.

    Love your builds. Why not just fly while you're using devcommands anyway? Always been curious

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  Месяц назад +1

      Thank you very much! I have decided not to fly to allow viewers to understand how to build the structure without devcommands (provided they have all the required materials). I have received negative feedback in the past regarding flying and hence, decided to stop doing it. It would definitely make the process much more efficient though!

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  3 месяца назад

      Good question. This build will not be able to withstand raids by itself. I would recommend building defensive structures around the perimeter of the build. This is something I do to all of my builds, separate from their design.

    so im new to valheim... what mod is this where you don't need to farm for materials and just build anything?

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  2 месяца назад

      Good question. This is not a mod. I am playing the game on creative mode whilst using 'devcommands' which allows you to manipulate the rules of the game. You can change the world modifiers in the starting menu before entering the world. You can learn more about 'devcommands' by a quick search on Google. I would recommend that you play the game from start to finish before you start employing cheats though. In my experience, it will lead to much more enjoyment from the game. I hope this helps!
