Wow! What a very informative video with a lot of very important info! I'm fairly new to the game so I hadn't even gotten into the abilities you've outlined here. This will be a major improvement in my overall "damage ability"! Thanks a lot for this info, and very well done
Referring to ~3:38. Regeneration (Combat Fitness) and Life Support (Team Support) gets you 100% health regen cap. Regeneration alone takes it to 50% as you might guess from that as well. On another note I'd recommend Heleus Defender armor (vs the N7) set when not doing only Biotic abilities.
Only thing I hate about the Heleus Defender armor is you get about 6 less augmentation slots, so you get 12% less of whatever augment you were trying to stack like power damage (or more usefully, recharge speeds). But yes, absolutely don't use the N7 armour with this set it makes no sense lol, other than that if you're accurate and running snipers instead of the dhan like me, maverick will be the best dps set for you, no doubt about it. Heleus is the better survivability option.
Instead of the recharge speed fusion mod, the mod of adrenaline seems to make more sense since everything would be dying very quickly (which means instant turbocharge). Another reason is that there isn't a weapon damage penalty
Adrenaline Fusion Mod appears to be one of the strongest fusions in the game right now for dealing with groups (which is what insanity's all about) so I can definitely see it having a greater total DPS here, arguably against bigger bosses it's going to fail in comparison, but the more targets the more effective the fusion mod so it balances out much better in terms of viability/survivability.
True, against architects or bosses without any henchmen it doesn't do as good, even though the setup in general is still beastly. It shines best against mobs/large groups of enemies Cheers for uploading this build!
I'd try the adrenaline mod if I could find it. As it is now I do well with Remnant Heritage Armor, top to bottom (augmented with biotic recharge bonus, tech recharge bonus, shield bonus, health modulator but no mods because the cost outweighs the benefit for the fusion mods I've got so far), Hurricane SMG (level 7 right now) with plasma tracker and bio-converter augments (best SMG in the game: high rate of fire, full stream, not burst, and reasonable damage for an SMG), Black Widow (level 7 so far) which seems to do less damage than the specs say it does. Gear up like this and bring a high-leveled Cora and you are golden. She keeps your shields maxed out AND regenerates your health to 100%. I rarely even need to pull the Black Widow out and only do so when at some distance and want a few quick headshots (which should ALWAYS be one-shot-kills by nature but aren't!) and then hose them down with Hurricane plus special ammo.
phoenixevo87 you'll be dealing with bosses with weapons most of the time anyway. It's far easier to target "weakpoints" with them then with any powers.
I like the Angaran Sniper (1000 Damage) +the no reload-health drain aug+ rapid fire ability (2 Shots per mag for the sniper and higher fire rate). It does an insane amount of damage.
If you add thermal clip + plasma seeking , you can snipe the architect with a Dhan on Insanity , you don't have to get close. select all the thermal clip bonuses in combat tree and you'll have 2 shots with thermal on a Dhan and 4 shots when you activate turbocharge I beat the last Architect on Insanity pretty fast this way , using tac cloak as well for even more damage use Invasion + turbocharge
Ye the extra damage I put in an annotation already, I can understand if you didnt see on mobile. So with the plasma seeking rounds I'm guessing it extends the range of the Dhan? The Dhan's orbs that it shoots i've noticed fizzle out at medium range so if plasma seeking extends range thats a game changer.
yeah plasma seeking extends the range really only good for sniping the architect though because normal mobs can hop out of the way of the seeking plasma sometimes if you try to snipe at range , not always though But it's still deadly up close as a normal Dhan. I tried plasma seeking + plasma charge , but it seemed like the damage went to crap with the plasma charge. I made one with grenade mod (non sticky)+ plasma charge + plasma seeking and the gun fired one time and went into perma-over-heat, I think I broke the game. I even saved and re-loaded and the gun was still overheated. Biomod though sort of take the fun out of the game for me , but it's still the best mod right now IMO.
You probably need Biotic Warrior and the Weapon Melee Synergy upgrade for Charge to boost the DPS higher than the defense debuff that Invasion can do. Depends, the combos I think are probably neck and neck, with Charge being the higher viability option IMO
All these different builds & stuff are complicated. I just try to do the best I can, & try to have fun. It seems to me that just about any build will work, you've just got to play & learn your strengths & weaknesses.
i do it in less time on Insanity with incinerate - drain and the Hornet SMG ._. not knocking your build, just more, i wouldn't claim its the highest firearm dps xD (mind you not MUCH less time but still) though i WAS a decent level higher than you so i can't really compare the build now that im thinking on it.
+1 for Hornet SMG with Automatic Fire System augment. That little thing melts faces with a full Soldier build. Slap a Vintage Clip on it and you don't even have to worry about the ammo.
Try Lance with some major power boosts and increased crit spot dmg it kills an architect crazy quick you can spam it when you go for shield Lance and the no shield delay barricade.
All I hear is people running Annihilation with lance these days, but barricade? Now that is something I have not considered before. I knew something had to be good about it other than being portable cover, sounds probably stronger than the annihil, charge, lance combo since you dont need to consider the charge delay or needing to charge itself. Good find
Rollersteaam My current ranged favorite is Energy Drain Barricade and Shield Lance it makes for some serious Lance spamming also go for the primer perk on energy drain. Obviously an explorer build ;)
I'm on insanity and energy drain with double incinerate and a maxed out Lance that uses shield does better than this build I have the shield oscilator perk on every gun and on my armor so I have unlimited shields for Lance
I quit using lance a long time back. In my game it just never seemed to do squat to any enemy. At least I could do damage with a combo of overload then throw.
BooDamnHoo Lance is the best detonator because you can throw unlimited amounts put an augment on your chest for every enemy you kill you get 50% shield back use energy drain to get your shields back if your low and energy drain is a primer then Lance the target run double incinerate for tech combos as well and no one can stand up to you I'm on ng+ insanity which I think is harder than regular insanity as far as I can tell and i melt everybody no matter what
i went overload/Rem VI/Incinerate engineer profile, sidewinder V with pistol mastery all bottom options, team with drack and cora. also kill architect roughly same time. insanity difficulty, but i was fighting the one on voeld (ice planet, forgot how to spell). i am lv102, and get full 60% dmg bonus on pistol, maybe thats why
I think enemies get tougher as you get higher level, but they might get capped at some point. No idea behind the official stats for it, but yeah I can imagine how well the REM VI primes for your other abilities, which are both very viable against something like the architect who's synthetic and has no defence.
thats the funny part after u hit Max lvl 132 u still get XP and ur XP scales with the toughnes of ur enemys #broken btw try it with the Ishary has an Max dmg on lvl 10 of around 1300
That sounds pretty painful, both enemies scaling with XP and the Isharay. Only problem I see with the Isharay is either its recoil or the fact you have to actually aim lol, but I can see how Bioconverter with Isharay is probably incredible. Don't quote me on this but I think shotguns might have a higher fire rate than snipers, otherwise their DPS is probably neck and neck
i used on my Ishary after some testing +2Mod Plasma Charger and Heatsink could oneshoot eh what are those things called again those bots with only armor that sit down and put an shield in front of them the trick is to charge ur weapon and aim shortly before them and not hit them straight and thats without the use of any skills only passives
Incorrect Annihilation can get -40% defence reduction (with correct choices) and is always on compared to invasion. That isn't including any bonus Defence effects from Profiles/etc. Focused on AOE increasing choices durr. Not to mention that it can be upgraded to give constant shields and stacks with active barrier AND chest On kill Shields. Also primes. My vanguard is godlike and I'm only lv37 atm. You should be using +50% shields - Health. As if you reduce health each proc of bio covert takes less hp. My Skills are Key: U = up, D = down on rank 4,5,6 Charge (UDU) Annihilation (UUU) Lance (UDD) Barrier (UUU) Offensive Bio (DUU) Contain (UUD) Combat fit (DDU) Combat Tools (DUD) Shotguns (DDU) Pistols (DDD) (will end up) Weapons are meaningless buff sticks, YOU DO NOT FIRE THEM. In most cases. Currently Using N7 Piranha (Full Clip +20% power damage, + Biotic Power Damage + Plasma Seeker + Double Mod Slot), Carnifex (Full Clip + 20% power damage, + biotic power damage, + DMS) Main shotgun weapon mod is Heavy Melee Damage. Melee is Bio Amp W/ Bio Recharge Armour N7 all + shield auq and chest on kill regen shields. L1 Charge, Both: Annih, R1 Lance. Replace Weps for, Asari Sword + Crusader/Dhal/Scattershot(?) W/ 5x Bio Recharge (Melee), 1x All Power DMG Full clip, 4x Biotic Power Damage (Ranged). Important Wep mods: Heavy melee
and all this doesn't matters, I've tried to Max a vanguard build no melee only biotics, heleus defender helmet X, and for the body N7 at X too all those with biotic damage increase, weapons with biotic damage increase augs as same and as you said I used annihilation with one of contention or barrier perk that gives 20% extra power damage while there is an active biotic power effect (annihilation in this case) after that I used the adept profile just because I wanted more damage on powers not melee, and for 2 skills left I used charge and shockwave ( with turned into Nova because the combo of shockwave plus annihilation couldn't achieve the damage Nova did by itself) after all these numbers and being very excited to test the build I just quit the game for that day after realize the hole combo couldn't kill just 1 fckn grunt (I tested it with raiders), short range biotics build is very stupid
Nonsense all classes can work on insanity. This specific build was nerfed by the patch however. My Current Vanguard is using Charge, Nova, Shockwave. Focused on Power DMG and Survivability. From my testing SP adds do more dmg than MP but have less HP. However SP characters have massive bonuses and equipment options that can mitigate spawns. You can get 75 DR with charge and the powers can do massive damage now.
I need your help. I researched the bioconverter augumentation and i cant find it when im trying to make a weapon with it i cant find it anywhere. Am i missing something or what?
You won't be able to use more than one type of ammunition augment. So if you already chose one before looking for bioconverter, it won't be available. You may also need to develop a bioconverter through development, if thats possible. Can't remember.
Rollersteaam I've searched everywhere and couldn't find it. I don't have it on any of my weapons because i literally researched it before going to development page. I don't have it in the augmentation page even though in the research i can clearly see that it has that green mark in the corner.
Might want to restart your game or something. Sounds very annoying, if it honestly bugged out on you, reload a previous save or run with vintage heat sink, the heat sink is going to have less dps because overheating is a factor but it synergises much better with run and gun classes since you reload without needing to actually stop there and reloading the gun yourself (so you can run around and still be ready for the next fight)
Lol wtf. I just died during a cutscene and after it ended i was laying on the ground flapping like a fish and i still can shoot. Cant move tho but it looks fkin hilarious
the Dahn is NOT the best. it's the Piranha with Bio Converter and Seeking Plasma. Ive beaten Architect's just as fast if not faster on INSANITY. This was only on HardCore..don't believe me? multiply the Damage by the fire rate for both weapons AFTER being fully buffed and crafted... Piranha = The God Gun...period.
You're a mad man for ACTUALLY playing that atrocity 3 times. I'm about 200 hours in, with maybe 20-50 (at best) hours left, and I cannot wait to make room on my SSD and uninstall this game. Real shame, considering I have around 2k hours total on the original trilogy.
Considering they both have effective neck and neck DPS due to the rate at which they kill things, I think it comes down to preference. With Piranha you have to deal with pellets and you can just as easily deal less than your full damage very often compared to the Dhan which is a "slug", yet they could both kill at very alarming speed. Considering the Architect is the toughest enemy you can face in the game (in terms of health) saying the Piranha is better than the Dhan or vice versa is a little overkill and is difficult to prove eitherway.
Rollersteaam The shot of the Dahn are really hard to hit enemies with i miss 30% because the projectile move so damn slow when either im strafing or the enemy is
only 70? i must be doing something wrong. i'm around a hundred only level 35 or so. I just found my first architect. after 50 minutes i kind of fell asleep and he killed me. i hate these kinds of missions.
Don't take it to heart, I was just being a dick. You do really well with your videos. I'd have to do a million takes in the attempt to not sound nervous or dweebish.
Go to medical on your ship, approach the station at the back of the room and select Ryder. First respec is 520-ish credits. Every respec (both for yourself, and any you use on companions) will cost an additional 500c on top of that. i.e. your second will be 1050 credits, your tenth will be 10,500c.
He has sixteen skills maxed out all six ranks. That's 16x21=336 points. When in this game will any player get 336 points? I'm doing the second Meridian battle, and I've got 216 points. What use is a build that almost no one will see enough points to try?
You can use both tech skills and party members to heal yourself. Not only that, Bioconverter uses 5% of your maximum health, so if you have less health, you have less taken from you. Don't knock it until you try it.
Is there some kind of pattern between youtuber's mispronouncing Remnant? No offence just something I noticed especially since english is not my first language.
Honestly, the only proper pronunciation that would come into my head is "Rem-nant" not "Rem-in-nant". There is no 'i' so there is no reason to pronounce it differently. I think similar to the Mandela effect, the strange pronunciation probably spread as I've like consumed media about ME:A, so people who pronounced it wrong spread it to me.
Josh Game set your singularity to highest duration and your biotic lance to max dmg. Have remnant armor for dmg resistance or N7 for biotic. I use hyperguardian chest for melee needs tho. but anw cast singularity then spam lance + charge with a remnant scattershot + ricochet + plasma charge. Can finish architect faster thn this. Also charge has to be bastion dps charge. make use of combo detonators to max lance and charge dps. i practically can keep being in the air. Takes some practice tho
thanks ill give it a shot, been going with vanguard so far but switched to infiltrator for this fight, oddly enough the black widow seems to work better on it than the Isharay
got it turns out there was a bug that made it take less damage then it was suppose to, had to quit to the main menu and continue to fix it but got him in about 2min with black widow v
you'll die on insanity with this build.. and since insanity is an easy mode there is no reason to play lower difficulty.. this build is a crap.. if you want to kill architect faster throw away that energy drain and take taktical cloak.. with that you could actually survive on insanity and do what you did here.. but faster.. still crap though.. melee vanguard forever
well for me it was challenge till lvl 30.. since then it's godlike character that can't die - unless you fell off a cliff they said that playing melee character will be difficult.. I find it too easy I need insanity +++
Yeah you're right, I added an annotation at the start to clarify the best set for dps is invasion, turbo and tactical but I understand if you were watching on mobile or something, annotations dont come up on that. Charge has I-Frames and positions you to not get hit by any of the architect's abilities however, so it isn't as bad on insanity as you think, while it still counts as a risky build.
Wow! What a very informative video with a lot of very important info! I'm fairly new to the game so I hadn't even gotten into the abilities you've outlined here. This will be a major improvement in my overall "damage ability"! Thanks a lot for this info, and very well done

Awesome build and use of weapons.
Now the new king is Valkyrie+full auto+bio converter
Damn that's pretty nuts. I just wish it didn't leave you so wide open. But against a single target, it probably can't be beat
Fuck builds, I just spammed overpowered Cobra RPGs. LOL
i do it in less time on Insanity with incinerate - drain and the Hornet SMG ._. not knocking your build, just more, i wouldn't claim its the highest firearm dps xD (mind you not MUCH less time but still) though i WAS a decent level higher than you so i can't really compare the build now that im thinking on it.

Toland Beyond why not sentinel ?
so im just wrecking the "foot" conduits with my black widow 5. and of course to the head as well
LSSJ Itachi yeah same here black widow 7 3 shots per leg on normal

Which profile are you running for this?
Soldier for a bonus 16% weapon damage at rank 4.
love this game man. 2 player story co-op would have been great but hey fuck it.
I just use some cobra launcher problem solved.
I beat this enemy on insanity with the black widow and no buffs in less that 3 minutes...it was quite a boring fight actually...

I've noticed a trend with youtubers mispronouncing "Remnant". It's not that hard, is it? Rem-nent. Remmm-nnnnent. Two syllables. Not three.
Yep my bad, noticed post-render and it sounds like actual autism. I think I was trying to talk quickly at the time so my pronunciation messed up

Sounds fine to me. And the Dhan is beast!
thejmeister Because these fuckin RUclipsrs need to lay off the game commentary and get their dumbasses back to school.. fuckin tweens
anyone know how to respec in game?
Go to the medbay on the Tempest.
Go to medical on your ship, approach the station at the back of the room and select Ryder. First respec is 520-ish credits. Every respec (both for yourself, and any you use on companions) will cost an additional 500c on top of that. i.e. your second will be 1050 credits, your tenth will be 10,500c.
View statistics to go back to weapon damage info lol....
Fastest method = piranha.
Rollersteaam Probably yeah. I've only heard everyone say "Reminant" until now.
how do you get a reaper tho
Its just a renamed Dhan don't worry
Rollersteaam Yeah.... but It looks like I don't have that perk, to refill the clip from health. I dont have any perks on my Dahn X
I don't see the magic of math to proof your claim tho
Destroyed an architect in 3 mins with vanguard on insanity...
how? i'm doing the one on veold but keep dying
4/10 build.
3/10 kill time.
you'll die on insanity with this build..
and since insanity is an easy mode there is no reason to play lower difficulty.. this build is a crap.. if you want to kill architect faster throw away that energy drain and take taktical cloak.. with that you could actually survive on insanity and do what you did here.. but faster..
still crap though..
melee vanguard forever
I hope in the next patch they would include Insanity + difficulty
At level 50 my ryder is way too OP right now
well for me it was challenge till lvl 30.. since then it's godlike character that can't die - unless you fell off a cliff
they said that playing melee character will be difficult.. I find it too easy
I need insanity +++
Yeah in the endgame the player scales insanely hard. Then again maybe that's a statement to describe how powerful Ryder's become
I'm not even near the end game.. perfectionist..:/ (every single side quest :D )
