    Great build!
    The only thing I would change would be taking the "weapon mass reduction" passive from the tech three. Makes you able to carry 3 weapons for free without penalty or investing on weight reduction of any kind. Also, slap a shield oscillator in the armor.
    Then, use a Dahn shotgun (also with oscillator augment) as your secondary, close range weapon. It hits like a truck and can free up the slot used by energy drain (if you want flashier skills, like Overload or Incinerate) because the augs will refresh your shields fast, as long as there is trash on the field. I barely use the pistol.
    It's basically what I'm rolling in Insanity. Works like a charm.

    oh, and deadeye armor is just the high level iteration of the skirmisher armor. you can find pieces of it on EOS in loot boxes. eventually, you will reach high enough level to craft it on your own. I think level 30 is when you can start crafting the deadeye version of the skirmisher armor.
    so, if you don't want to wait until then, you either look for a set on EOS, and hope for a high level version, or craft the much lower level version yourself. personally, I think a level 10 deadeye piece is far better than a level 2 version that you can craft, even with the best augments.

      It's an actual RPG, and it requires players to think at least a little bit - therefore it's not headed in the simplistic, easy, watered down 'politically correct' direction of 'RPG's these days - so everyone lost their minds....6 months before the game was even released. It's an *amazing* game, and perhaps one of the last RPGs we will see made

    • @ImmortalTheory
      @ImmortalTheory 7 лет назад

      Everyone wants games to hand them the bed to the best so quick and don't want to take the time to grind and explore and learn bit by bit. There is still a rich story here and I'm enjoying it as much as I have all the other MA as well as KOTOR games. I agree with you 10 fold. Just like vanilla WoW was one of the best MMORPGs.. Now it's watered down as well. Oh and don't get me start on how amazing SWG's was before the NGE update. Took me a year to unlock Jedi and it felt like you had power when you played it and always striving for the next best thing. I haven't has that experience again in a game, sadly. The catering to the "need it here and now" is ruining the depth of games as a whole.

    Ppl get too enamored with the power of the isharay, but the remnant sniper rifle is better. Easy aim and super accurate, no recoil, no ammo needed. Can get six shots off in quick non-stop succession before you can get two off with isharay. modded for damage, that's more damage than a shot from the isharay. But, different strokes for different folks.

    I had the same gun, but as a plasma rifle, so it charges and does considerably more dmg per shot. The legs on an architect go down in 2 shots from invisible...this was with Isharay4, no gear (just exp+ gear)

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад +2

      Nice

    • @thomasneal9291
      @thomasneal9291 6 лет назад

      the plasma blaster halves the range and forces huge drop physics on bullets.
      guided plasma does the same damage as a regular bullet, but the bullet moves much more slowly and it's much harder to head shot with.
      so... kinda not a sniper any more using plasma. it actually works far better keeping your rifle using projectiles.

  • @MrEcoho
    @MrEcoho 7 лет назад +8

    so almost level 90 and i can honestly say the Black widow X is better then the Isharay X as their damagae becomes less distant and the Black widow allows for more leeway if you miss on the first shot because the fucking game decides to have them move an inch to the right..... which happen too often on insanity. I prefer to run three weapons though paw with lightning mod for sheild enimies that manage to close with me and an Isharay with heat sink for those big bastereds with the orbs and feinds as 1 good hit tends to make them easy kills with my Black widow or paw.
    nice build though.

    • @mackwhite374
      @mackwhite374 7 лет назад

      MrEcoho I usually carry a the remnant sniper, isharay, and a paw. I use the isharay for mobs or damage phases, remnant to kill orbs on ascendant, and paw because I like the gun. Just my build and sorry for blanking on the remnant snipers name in really tired and I think you'd know what I meant

    • @thomasneal9291
      @thomasneal9291 6 лет назад

      you get a clip size of 2 with the ish with full upgrades in sniper and combat. there's your "miss once". add a biotic augment and you can shoot without worry of reload.
      still, if you are only going to carry ONE sniper rifle, then yeah, BW wins hands down as the best overall single sniper rifle.
      but why only carry one?
      I like using the Ish for heavy alpha strikes, and the inferno for general mob use. inferno gets 12 size clip on full upgrade, which is huge for a recharging type weapon. and the rate of fire is near the level of most of the good ARs, with much better single shot damage.
      there is even enough weight space left over for me to pack a talon with plasma burst aug on it, for spraying fast moving melee targets like all the pesky wildlife.
      I carry bombs, fire and disruptor ammo as consumables, and just swap loads for whatever comes along. you don't need a lighting modded gun, just use disruptor ammo in your sniper rifle for shields/tech. switch to fire for everything else.
      all bases covered.

  • @TheAgentAssassin

    cloak , energy drain , then shoot
    same tactic I used with the salarian in co-op for ME3
    Arguably one of the best characters in ME3 co-op
    I preferred the Widow X over the Black Widow in co-op
    Widow X would one shot just about anything while in cloak
    too bad MEA nerfed the Widow to shit

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад +1

      They didn't just nerf it, they completely phased it out. No armor penetration even, on an antimaterial weapon??? And then out-damaged 20% by a hello kitty looking sniper like the Isharay??? sad days.
      This combo is exactly what I built this character around - glad you recognized it :)

    • @z-boy9230
      @z-boy9230 7 лет назад

      They seriously fucked up how The Widow functioned in Andromeda, it was one of the best sniper rifles in ME2 and they just nerfed it so bad it's not funny.
      Not sure what the hell what were they thinking.

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад +2

      I agree. It was a weapon you *earned* in ME2 and ME3, not just some mandatory Alliance issue stuff. In ME2 you had to get to the collector vessel just for the right to *use* it, and in ME3 you needed to reach Thessia to find one. Here? Starting issue garbage just barely on par with the predator pistol :/

    • @z-boy9230
      @z-boy9230 7 лет назад +3

      Yep, this was honestly one of my biggest gripes about this game with the weapon balance, I hope they're planning on buffing The Widow. It's my favorite weapon from the OT and they didn't do the lore of the weapon no justice in Andromeda.

  • @thomasneal9291
    @thomasneal9291 6 лет назад +3

    this ended up being a good build guide for me. I tried the bog standard inferno/overload build, and thought... "how does this help me with my primary role of sniper?" well, it didn't. but this build did.
    at lower levels, you can ignore the assault turret and go with:
    -cloak
    -energy drain
    -barricade
    as your 3 powers
    and level up combat training and sniper rifle about equally, first maxing out sniper rifle and then combat training.
    with maxed out combat training and barricade, you are well nigh invulnerable at any point on the battlefield. great for those who friggen HATE dodging everywhere (like me).
    and level up cloak and energy drain equally, maxing cloak first.
    put points in team support and some kind of backup weapon skill (I chose pistol, because: plasma burst talon ftw) as they become available.
    then, you can add in your turret and whatever else.

    • @christophersimmons1850
      @christophersimmons1850 5 лет назад

      "...with maxed out combat training and barricade, you are well nigh invulnerable..." This tip is golden. Barricade was key to letting me actually play like a sniper.

    i did my first playthrough on normal and managed a combination of armor, perks, mods, and augments that let me have 2 shots ready with the isharay which was perfect for in-combat sniping bc it let me one shot kill when needed, but twice in a row. my main weapon was a beam emitter valkyrie which was beast. im playing insanity now and cant remember the configuration i did while playing normal to have 2 ready shots with isharay and deleted my older game so i cant check :/ *bummed*

  • @EmberwindTale
    @EmberwindTale 4 года назад

    That's what sniping's about.... in other games. In this game having to reload after a single shot gives enemies enough time to swarm you.

  • @jillflyt6191
    @jillflyt6191 7 лет назад

    I have been thinking of building one of these to carry as a 2nd sniper rifle, currently im running with a black widow with 2xmod vintage heat sink and 3 kinetic coils with the clip size upgrade you get 2 shits before overheat so take one shot wait a second for that shot to recharge and you can squeeze off that 2nd round while still cloaked with the upgrade. granted it's not a 1-shot kill, but it never runs outta ammo. I like softening up bases from 100+m so ammo can be an issue for me as I am sometimes blindly shooting through crates and such hoping to find and enemy as infiltrator vision only seems to work under 60m.
    Cool vid tho think I may do a respec soon and I'll keep those choices in mind really close to having all profiles at level 6 need like 15 more points.

  • @brucenatelee

    From what I used in multiplayer, the assault turret omni-tool recharge speed doesn't even work. And they seriously need to fix the damn input delay. Happens on PS4 even while offline, so it's the game for sure.

    The only draw of he Black widow is that you can get 2-3 shots off before you cloak comes back up giving you the boosted damage. I've been putting it on par with with the Isharay since the game came out for that reason.. I find that the Isharay is almost overkill for a lot of situations though.. its great for large enemies but the black widow is enough to 1shot kill most trash with a headshot anyway.. I've used them both but I think I prefer the black widow for convenience.. though I never did notice the penetration difference.. I may revisit the Isharay to try it out in more camping scenarios.. My very first build came out a lot like this one besides the turret.. I never even noticed that recharge speed passive.. I ran with incinerate with the passive that makes it detonate and prime.. and energy drain with the passive that makes it prime and detonate (to prime shielded targets).. I felt like my abilities were up often enough that I wouldn't need the additional 30% recharge speed.. I may give it a shot though to see how it feels.

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад +1

      If you want an assault/sniper rifle, then whatever. You want a one shot spike dam sniper, where the damage scales off the base damage of each single shot and not a collective DPS of spray and pray, then the Isharay

    • @deschain1910
      @deschain1910 7 лет назад +1

      +Ninja Flips
      I get that it's a personal preference thing, but I wouldn't call the Black Widow 'spray and pray.' I enjoy getting three (or four if you increase mag size) quick headshots and take down that many enemies in rapid succession. It's enjoyable and precise.
      But, yes, the spike damage capabilities of the Isharay is also satisfying.

    • @thomasneal9291
      @thomasneal9291 6 лет назад

      ish is for big beasties and bosses.
      BW is a good choice for strong mobs and the best all around single sniper rifle, if you only plan to carry one sniper rifle.
      inferno is a better choice for 75% of what you will be shooting at. it will one shot your average grunt easily, with a clip size of 11 and double the fire rate of BW (triple Isharay). will one shot shielded kett if you use energy drain first, or build a disruptor augment version of the inferno.

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад +1

      * the turret is a primer for targets, and a 30% COOLDOWN BUFF FOR CLOAK. It serves 3 purposes. Cryo freeze/slow/prime, Tank, and cooldown for tech powers.

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад

      If that were the case, you could equip 4 5 augment weapons to get a 60% damage boost, or 100% power boost, etc. Seriously doubt it

    • @Anergyne
      @Anergyne 7 лет назад +1

      Kinetic coils only apply to the weapon they're on. With the exception I *think* of melee weapons? But I'm not sure.

    • @thomasneal9291
      @thomasneal9291 6 лет назад

      yes, kinetic coils on your equipped melee weapon apply to all of your weapons. not vice versa though.
      so yes, your ultra rare (5 slot) melee weapon can buff your other weapon damage by 15%

  • @eswiig
    @eswiig 7 лет назад

    what about the 25% incendiary ammo damage augment? is it 25% more weapon damage or 25% more incendiary ammo damage? (Heat Inducer Augment)

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад

      I honestly don't know how to test if the weak spot bonus applies to incendiary damage, or how it stacks with weapon damage bonuses. I *do* know that this one shots anything less than a boss with a headshot. Killing things faster would mean killing them without shooting them with even one bullet.

    • @Ramschat
      @Ramschat 7 лет назад

      It only increases damage when while you use the incendiary ammo consumable.

    • @thomasneal9291
      @thomasneal9291 6 лет назад

      when loaded with incendiary ammo, yes, your weapon will do 25% more damage with that augment in place.
      best used against enemies with heavy armor.
      likewise, even though it says disruptor ammo does 25% more damage against shields with the equivalent augment, I find it actually does just 25% more DAMAGE against shielded enemies, period.
      I can easily one shot high level observers using just an inferno rifle augmented with the disruptor ammo booster and loaded with disrupter ammo.
      in fact, this is the rifle I use to kill remnants. I use my Isharay with incendiary augment and ammo for big beasties or for extra long range headshots when the enemy has no chance to get to me (high ledge for example), where the reload time is meaningless.
      also? protip:
      those big beasties usually have a weakspot OTHER than their thick skulls. on Eriochs and relatives, for example, they have a small red spot on their sides. that's actually their biggest weak spot, not their skull.

    • @thomasneal9291

      you get your augment back when you disassemble a weapon.
      -go to loadout point
      -unequip any mods on the item (as they will be destroyed otherwise)
      -disassemble your weapon.
      you will get a portion of the materials used to make the weapon back, along with all of your augments, which you can then use to make a new weapon.
      the problem comes when you want to make two weapons with that booster and carry them at the same time.
      THEN you have to hunt down hidden cache boxes and hope you find one.
      and really? that is the best way to get augments. it is very very worth spending a point on that. I would in fact, spend your very first point on that. then experience, then the ones that lead to increasing your consumable loadout slots.
      the rest frankly are irrelevant. they mostly just give money or materials, both of which are in abundance in the game already.

    • @the.Aruarian
      @the.Aruarian 7 лет назад +1

      Actually, you just need to take Team Support to rank 6 and pick-up Life Support. Triggers 50% health regen every time you use a tech ability. Makes bio converter that much more viable.

    • @the.Aruarian
      @the.Aruarian 7 лет назад

      I'm guessing you both mean Heat Sink, but the benefit of it over not using is that you can use abilities/dash/sprint and the cooldown will still continue. Unlike reloading, which gets canceled when you do any of the above. Bio converter tends to be better, but VHS makes spare ammo a non-issue.

I have zero clue why they set up two entirely different ways of gaining armor pieces, one of which you can entirely control and the other you cannot at all control.
      it's baffling.
      and yes, it just turns out that the best armor in the game for a sniper... can not ever be manually researched. you just have to find already made pieces, or wait until you gain sufficient levels to make the level you want.
      I think level 10 - 20 lets you make level 3, and 20 to 30 level 4, 30-40 level 5, etc.

    When i look at that video i think one shoot from my Black Widow does like 10-15% more damage then this Isharay. And if you really have to ask why? Use those damn consumables. That and the missing augmentation slot are the things that actually disqualifies the Isharay from being the better weapon. Ohh plus the Black Widow hit targets over 200m away, the Isharay well is just not accurate enough for that. Dunno why though.

      @NinjaFlipsTV  7 лет назад

      Genius, seeing as using consumables counts with the Isharay too, and the Isharay has as many augment slots as the widow, and has longer range than the Widow.

    • @Duelli75
      @Duelli75 7 лет назад

      Well the Black Widow(N7) has 5 the Isharay(Gold) 4 slots max and the Isharay got only 3 bullets while the Black Widow got 9 bullets per consumable. It is as easy as that. The Range is higher on the Black Widow, because i hit targets over 200m away with it, while the Isharays bullet seems to be gone after 200m.

      Wait the consumables improve clip size? When?

    • @Duelli75
      @Duelli75 7 лет назад

      When you use the right augmentation you can do that(+20% clipsize with ammo consumable), but that is not the point here. Those ammo consumables last 3 clips. With the Isharay you use 3 times more consumables. It's just annoying.

      With the isharay, your one shot does almost 3 times the damage as the BW. For a sniper, with all the modifiers stacking on the base damage, you don't need to spray and pray with the weak Blak Widow 3 round clip. One shot, one kill.

    i saw all your secondaries and was : "nope, not gonna switch profiles everytime on this damn console" lol
    they should have left the crosspad for that. or think of a better key attribution, in dai you had 8 powers available

      Ummm, no, if there were any secondary profiles, they were for trophies/achievements. This build is one profile.

    how do you get the armor? for some reason it's not in my research tree so I can't craft it to spec. I have found a few pieces only it seems rare. Also how do I deconstruct weapons?
    Thirdly why not get get the module that converts health to ammo on your gun? It negates ammo issues and reload simultaneously. you would lose 20% damage from the battlefield assist module but how often are you really at 100% hp? and instead of the turret you can go for turbocharge for some really sick DPS. I mean you lose 20% of damage for lets say 40% of your shots (that's roughly best case scenario for how often you'll be at full health on insanity) but with that mod and skill combo you can turn this into a scoped assault rifle while keeping most of the damage.

      You offer a tutorial paragraph right after asking how to deconstruct equipment???

    • @Shattered-Realm
      @Shattered-Realm 7 лет назад

      fair point. but I've actually got 120 hours into the game and doing a second playthough consider it friendly brainstorming ideas :) That particular combo works wonders for the Pirhana shotgun. And yes my first playthrough was on insanity.
      Oh I figured out how to deconstuct stuff but I'd be much obliged if you tell me how you can actually craft the armour you have? It is not in my tree i.e I can't reaseach it

      It just showed up, probably quest/world discovery related. As for the 20% Dam spike, with Cora in your party and spec'd properly, and with cloaking, you are almost always at full health. Of course, this is sniping, not rambo Call of Duty yolo mindless rushing

      I'll give her a go but basically anytime I duck out of cover to snipe, trash enemies with what look like averger assault rifles will rip through my shields from max range within a few seconds while running and evading. nevermind the more dangerous enemies. I survive thanks to hold the line + 200 resist at low health and saving barrier the one that refills your shields at low health. I run with Drack and Veetra as Cora has a high tendency to get herself killed instantly. She also tends to run into melee range quite often so if the isn't dead I'm frequently outside the 8m radius of her heal skill since I prefer to snipe and use my skills from around 50 meters away. Do you micromanage her to get her to stay by your side?
      my first build by the way is basically pirhana for when I get flanked and inferno sniper rifle. I have singularity specced for max radius and incinerate and shield drain which I sometimes swap for turbo charge. I throw down singularities and chain combos from cover. When the enemies are disabled or distracted I snipe with the inferno.

      1. use cover at long range. you're a sniper.
      2. use the position function to get your teammates into correct position to support you and also use cover.
      3. use cover. stay in cover.
      4. no cover? make your own. use barricade.
      5. if your cover is blown, DO NOT RUN, use directional evade, which will activate your cloak and cause enemies to miss. if you are running around all the time? you're doing it wrong. suggest switching to soldier profile with beam modded assault rifle (valk). then you can bounce all over the place while keep a constant stream of fire on your enemies. and yes, it works quite well. probably the easiest way to play the game, and you only ever need one weapon (valkyrie AR). feels like ur melting enemies with a plasma beam. because you are. or, go Dahn shotty and kill everything at short to medium range in two shots. that thing is a beast of weapon. or, use the pirhana with guided plasma augment, and melt everything at medium range.
      also? if you are really determined to play sniper, I would recommend getting the mod from Nexuss mods that increases sniper rifle ranges to 2000m. you can't actually see anything that far away, but what it lets you do IS shoot things from 200m away instead of 80, and if you get far enough away, the enemies won't be able to figure out where you are firing from. situational (meaning only really usable in large outdoor areas, but at least it lets you pretend to be a sniper once in a while :).

    This build is... Not optimal...
    Your powers do, admittedly, help with those cooldowns- but with a slightly different build you can one shot from outside the AI's interaction range.
    Cloak, turbocharge, barricade- all of these buff gun damage. Maverick armor with recharge augs- well, that's self explanatory. And finally, an isharay with the double mod slot expansion, the +20% from full HP/shield Aug, and the rest as kinetic coils- a fully modded isharay hits like a truck and doesn't weigh all that much. The important things are the barrel and the receiver, because a perfect shot can one hit kill through walls.
    This build deals enough damage that actually getting into range of your enemies only happens when the game forces you to. And when that happens it doesn't really matter because you can make cover whenever you wish and cloak.

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  6 лет назад

      Ninja Flips well if it is optimal for you, that's fine. I guess we just have different ideas of how snipers should play.
      ...which is the tone I would have used, if I didn't think you had mocked my ellipsis! This means war!
      Jokes aside, I reread my comment and think I came across as- well, not quite an ass, but someone who'd you'd expect to be an ass if you talked to them long enough. I shouldn't comment on videos after work.
