Hi from FR : nice memories !! I was 20 in '79 ... since '75 /76 w/mates we rode Honda 125's & 500XT's on illegal "MX /enduro /trial" terrain in Vincennes woods :)) I remember epic hide and seek games w/gendarmes riding road bikes ; they performed very well even for off-road pursuit For the times, your mates & you got very top notch trail /enduro bikes
Dont mind w/this music : it will be ever BETTER than any modern "international disco crap" called (fake) "R&B" or "rap" & recorded with autotune plus other fancy SH*** filters !! R'n Roll 'll NEVER die ^^ About hill climbing, I remember in the '80s when during french enduros friends of mine run 2 or 3 lightened/ modified Yam'500XT's w/updated (sometimes frames &) suspensions : the unaware public mocked these (rather old) thumpers compared to top notch 2S. ... but on muddy climbs the XT's run at the top in ONE "trial like" strike. For most of 2S bikes, excepted for pro-riders it was a lot of epic fails ^_^ Have a good day !
Thanks for your comments, the XT's and TT's were indeed amazing old machines. Rode one for the first time in '76 - a mate bought one as soon as they were released onto the market. They were heavy but they sure were fun to ride!
Good old days
