It was nice of RBD Lab to jack its price from $25 to $69 on the exact minute the Black Friday started, got to love saving 25% on a $25 product so the final price is a mere $51! Pass on the addons by greedy devs
I never understood why it was so cheap. 25$ was ridiculous for this addon. The current price is much more justified for what you get, especially for the new 1.1 version and you're crying even with a 25% discount .. wow.

I think the price of an addon and whether or not I agree with it comes down to how much time it actually saves. In the case of Simply Wrap, I think $33 for the ability to wrap things around ANY mesh is a price that is well worth paying, because doing this process by hand is a fricking nightmare. Think of how much time it will save you and whether or not that dollar:minute ratio is worth it. If it would take you 20 minutes on average to get an asset wrapped around a mesh in the same exact way, and you need to do that process 3-4x over for one single mesh...well, that's over an hour of your time on ONE mesh. Alternatively you can just fork over $30 and have an extremely easy solution to the problem and get the same work done in 5 minutes or less. I would argue the $44 edition which includes assets is too high though, who cares about assets in an addon like this when you can easily make those yourself? The hard part is actually fitting them over your mesh.
@@spartan456 box cutter, hard ops, pie menu editor are much powerfull than simply warp, they got more fonctionnality, upgrade, lot of tutorial, a big community and cost less than simply warp. This is why i say simply warp price is insane. Time is a good deal, but stability in the time is better. Does simply warp work in all case ? I don't know. Is it buggy ? I don't know. Does it work well with another addon ? I don't know. Does it work in the pipeline at work ? I don't know. Does the addon get upgraded when Blender get a upgraded ? I don't know (...) The showreal look like nice, but in real modeling workflow, in real work is it exactly the same ? My experience say no.

VDBs make weird dark square artifacts when intersecting with objects or models in Cycles even a basic plane has squares on it. Anyone knows why or how to fix this?

You definitely won't have any copyright problems. Many add-ons are designed for professional use, and most if not all professionals use tons of add-ons, so work assisted by add-ons will be fine for copyright.
