Viltrox AF 56mm f/1.7 lens review - A $139 portrait lens!

Viltrox continue to take some time out and produce some very low budget optics. Viltrox AF 56mm f/1.7 APS-C lens is currently available just for Fuji X and Nikon Z mounts.

I was planning to order this lens but the price has gone up quite a bit since before. Went with the TTArtisan 56mmf1.8 in the end. I believe these 2 lenses perform pretty much the same.

Viltrox is slightly brighter, but yes the lenses are pretty comparable

I grabbed this lens on a whim, I like it so far but curious if I should look into the sigma 1.4 instead?

Which one is better? The TTArtisan 56mm/f1.8 or this one. Their prices seem quite similar.

Both lenses are great. If you prioritize faster, more consistent autofocus, the Viltrox is a strong choice. But if you want something with a bit more character and don’t mind experimenting, the TTArtisan could be worth trying!

On some of the pictures it's modified classic chrome, on most I used my own preset. Soon I'll be selling my collection of presets :)

The lens hood from the 20mm lens is stupid on the 56mm lens !

It's there just to be there, but it's almost pointless

@@JacekSopotnicki It is so cheap today to do 3-D printing, so Viltrox should have made proper Lens Hoods for the 40mm and the 56mm Lenses !
