I have a new 12Gb Super Slim PS3, and I will likely buy the SSD shown in your video. Thanks for your video. 😀
Few things to add for anyone buying a PS3 to play older games. 1. Fat PS3 Variants and Backward Compatibility: -The "fat" PS3 has three main variants: -60 GB with chrome trim: Fully backward compatible with PS2 games, as it includes both the PS2 CPU and GPU chips. -80 GB with chrome trim: Compatible with PS2 games, using a mix of hardware and software emulation (PS2 CPU emulated). -Other fat models (no chrome trim): Not backward compatible with PS2 games. 2. Optimizing Image Quality for Older Games: -When playing standard-definition PS1 or PS2 games, set the PS3 to output at 480i or 480p and let your TV upscale to HD resolutions. Modern TVs typically do a much better job at upscaling than the PS3, resulting in a sharper image. 3. Maintenance and Upgrades for Fat PS3s: -Fat PS3s are aging and require proper servicing. Here's my recommended maintenance and upgrades: -New Thermal paste and thermal pads: Replacing these is essential to improve cooling. -19-blade fan upgrade: Helps lower temperatures. -Power supply swap: Using a more efficient power supply can also reduce heat. -Reball or reflow the PS3’s Cell/RSX chips: Fixes soldering issues that can arise over time. -Replace NEC TOKIN chips: Upgrading these with a third-party solution can resolve issues like the Yellow Light of Death (YLOD).

I'm looking for a laptop which has both an OLED screen and DC dimming. DC dimming is important, but it doesn't appear in any of the specs...
More moaning and whining videos. Just use the camera.

Wonder what the split is between those who record themselves and those who don’t. I can’t imagine ruining my work by sticking my face in the middle of it.
...so if you don't have money don't buy it.. like thats really it? why act like we're saving the world?

Jacek - You're married, so more prisoner ;)
To be fair, you cannot compare a Lens with aperture 1.2 to a lens with aperture 1.8 ! It is like comparing a Dacia to a Rolls Royce ! You also have to think, how long will the lens last, many cheap lenses do not live long if you use them a lot. With a 61 megapixels Camera you can see the difference. Last but not least, there are many other Lenses for the Sony E-mount. I recently saw several used Sony Zeiss Sonnar 55mm 1.8 T* ZA for USD 350 taxes included in good condition. I always recommend to buy a higher end Camera or Lens used, than to buy a new cheap one.
Leica will never drop the price for M cameras and it is ok. This is a niche market product.
Finished Dragon's Dogma, now playing GTAV on my PS3
Amazing - some of the best games ever are still running and looking great on it!
Great Video, great topic. It's like upgrading car audio, u can't just think about buying new car speakers without thinking about the amplifier that will power them (like do u need an external amplifier or keep the stock amp, what about a subwoofer). Choosing a body is half the job. Great vid!!! (South Africa)
Thanks for the comment, I love great sound in the car and know your pain :) BTW. I'm coming to South Africa next summer!
I have newer cameras, but I’ll still take my a7iii out occasionally and shoot with it. Cover a festival this weekend with it.
And I'm sure it still holds up very well

Yeh, could be faster, but there are much slower cameras out there :)
I subscribed, you do too, Bro
I have both (I am a full time corporate videographer). The FX-3 was my first purchase and the top audio handle and full frame sensor was a must for my workflow. I own an FX-6 and pair the FX-3 as my B-Cam. The FX-30 is my C-Cam. My advice to someone looking at both is as follows: unless you are a paid professional content creator or you have the extra $2200 to spend, go with the FX-30. Plus you can get three or four APS-C lenses with the extra $2200. You can purchase APS-C lenses much cheaper than full frame lenses. There is no doubt this is the best value for a hobbyist, a professional filmmaker or content creator starting out. If you are doing paid work, allow this camera to work for you in order to upgrade later. I started with an A7III and all of my cameras were bought with the money my clients paid me.
Thank you for this!
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🙌 Your experience as a full-time videographer really highlights the practical value of the FX-30, especially for those just starting out or on a budget. It’s inspiring to hear how you built up your gear through client work, starting with the A7III. Great advice on maximizing value with APS-C lenses, too-definitely helpful for anyone deciding between these models!
@@JacekSopotnicki Thank you.I had an excellent mentor. He emphasized that it’s not the tools/gear you use, it’s the problems that you solve for your clients that makes you valuable. To us (as the creatives) many times we want to think better gear helps us make better content and will impress clients. Meanwhile the clients have no idea whether we’re shooting with an FX-30 or a Sony Venice……and they really don’t care. As long as we get a quality job done. Gear is important to us, not them. I shot for year with my three year old Sony A7III (hybrid photo/video camera) with 8 bit color and a maximum recording time of 30 mins before shut off. I landed a few corporate jobs that paid me well. I had all full frame lenses for my A7III. I used that money as an investment for a more suitable video centric full frame camera upgrading to the FX-3. In 2024 creatives starting out have a way better camera in the FX-30 with features you couldn’t dream about on the A7III for the same price. I’d take the FX-30 over the A7III full frame for video any day. It’s a great time to be a content creator.
Is viltrox better option than sony fe 50mm prime ?
Yes Viltrox is better than Sony FE 50mm F/1.8 - that lens is ok, but a bit dated and desperately needs a refresh.
I dropped hen on my super slim, installed ps1, 2 and 3 titles. You can convince the ps3 to think the ps2 iso is a classic from the store, and it'll play it. Best investment was storing it when I was 14 lol. Now I have a free console that's capable of doing things now
Wow! But to do that do you have to jailbreak it?
@JacekSopotnicki just Hen, you can throw your iso onto the console then using multiman you can convert the ps2 iso into a "ps2 classic" enc.bin file or something like that type. Delete your old iso, run off ps2 classic iso and wala. I also had totally forgot that you can run ps1 titles too physical copies no problem with slims / super slims
Thank you🖤 can we take photos also from fx 30?
Yes, you can and photos are actually very good
I have a sony a6700 and I'm thinking to buy this as a second camera for edc. I do like the retro loom. Wonder if I should take the jump.. 🤔
Definitely, it's a great retro vibe/fun camera and it's very different from Sony. A6700 is very reliable, and great for professional use. X-T30II is great for personal projects and slower types of photography, paired with small manual or AF lens (like TTArtisians) is a great 'refreshment'
Is it metal?
I think so, it feels like it
Ten czy sigma 105mm 1.4 ? :)
Hej!
Cool review. What lens would you recommend for RUclips videos on a Sony ZV-E10 in studio?
Actually this one is pretty cool if you can move your camera away from you. I also love Sigma's trio, the 30mm F1.4 DC DN is absolutely amazing
I still don't get why APSC lens manufacturers don't put directly the exact mm on the lens instead putting a 50mm, knowing is gonna give 80mm results. Have anyone thought about this ridiculous matter? To the content creator: nice review. You did a great job. I'm just opening another debate in base of what I thought during the length of your video.
"Good question! Lens manufacturers usually label lenses by their actual focal length rather than the equivalent focal length on different sensor sizes. A 50mm lens, for example, is always optically a 50mm lens regardless of whether it's used on a full-frame or APS-C sensor. The '80mm equivalent' only describes how the field of view will look on an APS-C camera compared to a full-frame. This approach keeps things consistent across formats and makes it easier for photographers who use different types of cameras to understand the true focal characteristics of a lens. Thanks for sparking the debate-definitely a topic that can lead to some interesting discussions!
Because a 50mm lens is a 50mm lens. It doesn't give 80mm results on APSC it only gives a different field of view. 50mm on full frame looks different to 50mm equivalent on APSC or M43
Because they are 50mm. That's why they call them 50mm. 50mm is NOT the field of view. It's the focal length.
Don't confuse an optical parameter of focal length with a practcal angle of view translation known as EQIUVALENT focal lenght. The markings are correct.
It is still worth playing, I’ve just started playing gta iv and gay tony again, it’s better then i remember it
The story, characters, and atmosphere are timeless. It’s awesome to revisit them and catch things you might’ve missed the first time around. Enjoy the nostalgia trip!
Absolutely, I was young and didn’t understand most of it don’t even remember some of the story I must of skipped the cut seen on most of them or didn’t complete the story, I’m liking it a lot, it’s a lot longer then i remember
Trying to get the ps3 emulator to work right now.
Make sure to check compatibility settings and try out different configurations if you run into issues. It's not the same feeling like playing the real console but... Happy gaming!
Yes it is
Totally agree, I'm having a blast playing it!
Very nice review!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the review! 😊 If you have any questions or thoughts on the gear, feel free to share!
I Like this PS3 Video. Good Job.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🎮 Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to see more of!
Dynamic range is better in xt50, it has been proven in many tests. Why do you think it is better in xs20?
I would disagree - it is only better at base ISO and longer exposures, take a look here: www.rtings.com/camera/tools/compare/fujifilm-x-s20-vs-fujifilm-x-t50/40452/60711 But I mainly prefer Xs20 for it's video quality - it just looks better. When you see the real footage side by side you'll pick the one from XS20
I have been playing the PS3 for the past couple of weeks. Working through the God of War games. At the end of 2 right now!
I just finished my god of war trilogy play through last week! It’s absolutely phenomenal. The third game is a gem. I’m playing God to War 2018 currently and it’s probably one of the greatest games I’ve ever played. Enjoy your play through man 👍
@taybop. Thanks! Definitely looking forward to playing 3.
That sounds awesome! The God of War trilogy is such an epic journey, and I totally agree-God of War III is something special. The 2018 game takes things to a whole new level with the story and gameplay. Enjoy every moment-it’s definitely one of the greatest games out there!
@@JacekSopotnicki well I finished 2 today and was ready to dive into three and I don't own it, lol. Have to hit up eBay. I could get the PS4 remaster but I want to play it as it was meant to be played.
A quick tip: You missed the focus sometimes because when you set the camera to AUTO mode, it will always(!) use the 3m focus zone. Only in the other modes is the manual focus zone setting even used. You can check this by looking at which position the lens takes in each mode. So macro is not really possible in auto mode
Wow! Thanks for the tip! I didn’t realize that AUTO mode locks into the 3m focus zone-it definitely explains the missed focus moments.
Google sells your data
Yeah, I hate that. You can adjust your privacy settings to reduce what’s shared or even opt out of personalized ads. But still...
this one versus sony 18-135mm which is better for travelling? thanks for your answer in advance.
Huh.. I personally love both, but... The Sony 18-135mm offers a wider zoom range, which makes it super versatile for capturing everything from landscapes to tighter shots without needing to switch lenses. The Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 has a lower aperture, which is great for low light and creating a nice background blur, but it’s less flexible in terms of zoom. If you’re prioritizing versatility and don’t want to carry multiple lenses, the Sony might be a better choice. But if you prefer a more compact setup and want that extra light and bokeh, the Sigma’s a great pick
Really nice shots you have there! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the shots-I really appreciate the support! 😊
Ich habe sie. Ich liebe sie! Analog lebt!
Freut mich, das zu hören! 😊 Analogfotografie hat einfach einen besonderen Charme, oder? Schön, dass du auch so begeistert bist!
Pentax has done a good job with this camera. I wish the lens was f2.8, apart from that I wouldn't change anything. I have been enjoying the camera a lot. A fresh experience with peace of mind that comes with the warranty.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Glad to hear you're enjoying the Pentax 17! The f/2.8 lens would definitely be a nice touch for better low-light performance, but it’s great that everything else meets your expectations. And having that peace of mind with the warranty is always a big plus!
When you getting older you like manual shit like leica. Be ready for coffin 😂 Leica is a bad sign.
Hey, if appreciating a Leica means I'm getting older, at least I'll be taking some killer shots on the way to the coffin! 😂
Do use H264 or H265 for your videos, and why???
Hey! I use H264 because it's lighter and easier to edit, otherwise I find both codecs almost identical (excluding file size difference)
I wanted the 3 but budget allowed only for a 30 setup. I wish cost was a little closer. I only use a 2.8 zoom lens, but depth of field is not shallow enough for some situations so planning to purchase the prime 1.4 Sigmas. Another thing that I wish 30 had a little bit better performance was the native ISO. I wish it was higher, like the 3's 12800 instead of just 2500. Other than that, it looks great. I'm considering purchasing an FX3 to move my FX30 to B-CAM. But Blackmagic also has great offerings and free davinci license makes me think about that. I'm just worried if both cameras would color match nicely.
I totally get the budget constraints, it’s tough when you have your eye on the higher-end gear like the 3. But that 30 setup is still solid, and upgrading to the Sigma 1.4 primes should give you a lot more flexibility with shallow depth of field, especially in low-light. The native ISO difference is a bit of a drawback, but the image quality you're getting from the 30 is still impressive.
The Nikon Z5 is on my list alongside the future Nikon Z5 Mark 2
Nice! The Nikon Z5 is a great full-frame option, especially for the price. I’m curious to see what improvements the Z5 Mark 2 will bring-maybe better autofocus and for sure modern video features. Either way, both should be solid choices.
I currently have 2 on the list the R8 and S5ii
Both the R8 and S5ii are great choices! My personal preference would be Panasonic S5II
