@@thefumminspagerpope4452 thanks bud getting ideas for my future fummins build alot of guys are running the 3rd gen he351cw turbo but this setup seems to do well I'm all about saving money if i can keep my hx35 one more thing im curious about you said you tuned the transmission yourself did you keep the stock torque converter or is it an aftermarket lower stall unit? Thanks for the input much appreciated
Ryan Teer the he351 works very well also, so either way you’ll be set. I am still using the factory converter that came with the truck I honestly don’t even consider changing the stall.
ray yar just the stock style flipped up will fit in the truck. I don’t think they will make a 3rd gen style with the square holes. But if they do that’s what I would buy, unless you plan to do a compound setup latter on then you would need to stay with the 2nd gen style
@@thefumminspagerpope4452 You've been a big help on several things on my fummins project. On the Steed Speed website there seems to be several choices for the 2nd gen 12 valve engines. Not sure witch one to order. I would like buy a manifold that would work with a single or twin turbos. I welded in a -10 bung in my oil pan for my oil return. my machine shop was impressed with the Promaxx head you recommended. Thanks
ray yar you need a second gen 12valve angled t3 manifold! I’m glad I’ve been able to help for sure. I was pleased with the head I used on a different truck from them. Hopefully I can get a steedspeed pretty soon my self, the stock one needs to go lol
Sweet,
Cummins Chevy thanks. I figured some people may want to see the before process. Unfortunately I wasn’t filming at that time I just took pictures
Your advice has been very helpful to me. Thanks again!
Nice
How close is the bottom of the big turbo to the starter? Trying to run a s475 in mine. May be close.
What twin turbo setup is this? Nice build
Ryan Teer it’s the factory hx35 over a hx55. Both holset Turbo’s

Burning rubber while pulling a 40ft trailer you dont see that everyday that was great
Really like the Cat Scale printouts. Hope you got the brakes for this.
Oby-1 oh yeah she stops good, but there is always room for improvement! Exhaust brake and better calipers coming soon
Where can one find a used 12v . Here in Tennessee there are as rare as gold
Nice Guy craigslist and Facebook. To find a good deal you might have to travel. It’s getting hard to find good ones for a decent price
Nice Guy I know on bigiron auctions there’s a ton of them in eastern Nebraska just on crates.
Abram Spearman awesome man thanks 🥇
Which Steed Speed exhaust manifold would you buy for your Fummins setup? My project is identical to yours. I am concerned about clearance issues.
