I think the reason they were the only ones colonizing is because at their default tech they're ahead of a lot of people so they had to play catchup

The reason for those small nations scoring so high is because they spammed “invest” button which boosts their score a lot. Its kind of a glitch.

The misfit top countries are up inteh rank mostly because economy, because in this game economy is hard to upgrade at first, but once you become a powerhouse it increasingly gets easier.

Re: Hawaii ranking so high, i think it’s because AoC2 ranks countries based on the points they finish with relative to their starting score/size/power. Not sure exactly how, but if Hawaii, say started at 1 and finished with 11, they would be ranked higher than a country that went from, say: 50 -> 75 ... I think.
nah it's because if you're an island you dont need to go to war so you can just invest all your money on improving your economy
Tokugawa is the Tokugawa Shogunate which was a militarized feudal government ran by a Shogun (had the real power) and samurai.
I still think the best videos would be those from eu4, recorded during the game, and not on timeline.
