A lot of the snow in the mountains around his house was so deep you could sink fully into it. I have played AoC2 for dozens of hours, and if you play too long in a single savegame i swear to god the bordergore is horrible, countries switch places, ai goes completely broke and colonial empire's are sometimes unable to end a war because there is a single island somewhere in the middle of who knows where so they wil not accept any truce, meaning they do not get to annex the land and are left with almost no recruitable population. If you just invest every turn as a small island nation and skip 1000 turns you wil probally be number one on the scoreboard by doing nothing
I did a few timelapses and I realiazed that AI isn't sometimes moving their troops, and I know that the reason isn't running out of moving points. Once I saw Turkey that managed to land on Irelad, they weren't at any other war, they stayed in one provinces to the time when Ireland managed to make enought troops to kick them out of island. Also Ai is terrible at multi-front wars and often it isn't able to cower all fronts. But about bordegore, if you want to grab as much as you can, it will surely make terrible bordegore. I am honestly responsible for one of the most terrible bordegores. I grabed only the most valuable US provinces as Australia, so there were Australian provinces in the middle of the USA

Around 100 years ago before the start of After the End, if I remember correctly, they invade the Vancouver area. The next update for After the End is suppose to add the island where they came from and a little bit of Alaska.

I recently started playing CK2 (and After the End) and am so pumped for this. Edit: The California faith isn't Celtic (I got confused by it too); it's "Cetic" and based on various New Age stuff. The state has 5 regional kingdoms and an emperor in Sacramento who is supposed to be the head of them all but has no power. Other bizarre faiths: Atomics(?) who worship nuclear bombs, Rust Cultists who think old factories came from the gods or something, Americanists who worship the founding fathers, and the Occultists in New England who believe in the HP Lovecraft mythos (with various other stuff mixed in).
For those who are confused why China was named Brazil: When you convert from CK2 the current name of China in CK2 replaces the name Ming in EU4, usually you see it changed to like Tang or something.
If you do another megacampaign with this mod, you should also use the EUIV mod that goes with it. I think that would be a lot more interesting than a vanilla old world. After the End for CKII and Long After the End for EUIV.
