I love the emmys in the background. Sam's influence on the Simpsons was huge.

To me, Sam Simon, James L Brooks, Al Jean and John Swartzwelder were the backbones of the show. In my own opinion, Matt Groening gets way too much credit for doing very little in the actual production and writing.
