  • The Buddha: Knower of The Worlds, Had Incredible Insight into Nature of Cosmos.
    #cosmos #buddha #insight
Recently, while teaching a retreat sponsored by a vipassana group in Brazil, I happened to mention devas and rebirth. The response was swift. The next morning, as I was looking through the slips of paper left in the question box, two questions stood out. The first was a complaint: “Why do we have to listen to this supernatural stuff? I don’t believe in anything except for the natural world I can see with my own eyes.” The second was a complaint of a different sort: “Why are Western Buddhist teachers so afraid to talk about the supernatural side of the Buddhist tradition?”
To answer the second question, all I had to do was point to the first. “It’s because of questions like these. They scare teachers away from the topic.” I might have added that there’s an irony here. In an effort to be tolerant, the early generation of Western Buddhist teachers admitted dogmatic materialists into their ranks, but these materialists have proven very intolerant of the supernatural teachings attributed to the Buddha. If he was really awakened, they say, he wouldn’t have taught such things.
To answer the first question, though, I asked a question in return: “How do you know that the natural world is real? Maybe what you see with your eyes is all an illusion. What we do know, though, is that suffering is real. Some people have the kamma to experience supernatural events; others, the kamma to experience only natural events. But whatever the range of the world you experience, you can create real suffering around it, so that’s what the Buddha’s teaching focuses on. He’s got a cure for suffering regardless.”
Here I could have added even more. The awakening that goes beyond suffering also goes beyond all worldviews, but the path leading to that awakening requires that you adopt a provisional sense of the world in which human action has the power to bring suffering to an end. This is the same pattern the Buddha adopts with regard to views about the self: Awakening lies beyond all views of the self, but it requires adopting, provisionally, a sense of your self as responsible and competent to follow the path.

"birth, residence, change, and transformation" express the Buddhist view of the existence of all things in the world, and also advocate that people should not fall into obsession and ignorance when looking at the world, but should look at and understand everything with the idea of emptiness.

sooo.... just the mere act of SPECULATING what the nature of reality is, causes attachments and suffering?
    WHY?
because one's reality LITERALLY morphs into such a construct?!?
    this is so confusing lol...

    THE ORIGINAL BUDDHA DOCTRINE.
The Original Buddha Doctrine is different from these
" Hindu/Jain" derived concepts, that are being spread all over the world, by people who have not entered the Path. That is why the Buddha reiterated that one should teach only after entering the Path. There is no Maithriya Bodhisatwa nor a Maithriya that is to come down from anywhere, except in the Hindu/Jain hallucinations, now being foisted into the naive people who have been following the Buddha Doctrine. The Path has to be seen through one’s fathom long body.
DUKA is suffering which everyone knows about. Whereas DHUKKA is the sequence of events that constitute a thought, cessation of which opens the door to the Path. The Buddha Doctrine was mainly about opening the door to the Path and seeking the contentment and Happiness of Nibbana. This is Cheto VIMUKTHI. Many authors have it wrong. People talk about Duka, but one of the main concerns of the Buddha Doctrine was DHUKKA.
The Buddha spoke of ANATTA, which is basic in His Doctrine. It means NO SOUL. No me. No I. Which means there is NO person, except the senses - from smell. Sight. Hearing. Taste. Touch, Mind and memory.
In the Dev DAHA Sutta, He Categorically states " If anyone says that, what one endures is a consequence of previous actions " that is NOT the Buddha Doctrine, but is Niganta (Hindu) doctrine. VERY CLEAR.
    -The Buddha-
Bhawa means one thought. PUNAR Bhawa means the next new thought. Therefore it is the thought that follows one after the other.
Therefore it is obvious that there is no me/l/ person to be reborn.
“ Bhawa niridho nibbanam “ means eradication of the thought process, is the key to enter the Path to nibbana.
The thoughts follow in a sequence and there is no KAMMA as described by the Hindu/ Jain faith, where there is reward on one hand and punishment or damnation on the other, as is the case in Christianity. This concept of damnation is questionable and will NOT last with intellectual dialogue.
The Original Buddha Doctrine, before it was mixed with the Hindu faith, is Supra-mundane and Supra-cortical.
Even the concept of Anicca and Anatta is at the level of Quantum mechanics and sub-atomic particles. When a body or any object is dissected to the last of the material form, it is correctly called Dhamma after which it is a non-material aspect and no form called “ information “.
On the contrary, Buddha’s Teachings are correctly called “ Buddha Doctrine “ or Buddha wachanaya or the Buddha’s Teaching.
One has to stop the process of Bhawa and Punar Bhawa to enter the Path through Pragna and subsequently reach the stage of Dhamma. Thereafter one sees Buddha and Nibbana.
Difficult to fathom, but it is a process believed to follow as steps automatically, after stopping the thought process, after being in a relaxed state.
The Buddha spent 6 long years doing meditation and found it to be futile, where he collapsed many times due to starvation and extreme emaciation. He realized that nutrition was important for all mental and physical activities. Thereafter he left the 5 colleagues and did the reverse of meditation, which was not concentrating or being mindful of any thoughts. He left the world of being in the mind and entered the Path. That must be obvious to any intelligent person, as the incessant mental activity is the enemy to the Path of Nibbana. Rebirth of the incessant birth within the mind, is the Sansaric journey, that needs to be arrested.
Not these mundane false concepts such as rebirth of the person.
Do your research and enter the Path, through " Cheto VIMUKTHI" which one could follow, listening to Dr. Gamini Abhaya MD. FRCP Consultant Physician/Cardiologist with NO fee, through Denageneemen Nivanata via the Internet. Until one enters the Path to Nibbana, by entering the first stage ( Sowahn) it is incorrect to teach or preach, which is like BLIND LEADING THE BLIND.
About time people used their own intellect without believing hearsay.
NOTHING YOU SEE IS REAL. Your brain, you and the external universes do NOT EXIST IN REALITY. --THE BUDDHA --
Even the great genius Alfred Einstein understood this. The father of quantum physics the great Neils Bohr explained it to him and yet he was not fully satisfied!
The Buddha saw it all and they wondered how He knew all these things.

This was correctly espoused by the Buddha, over 2500 years ago. These people are struggling to extract His theories for a long long time, without giving Him credit for it.
    “ CHITTENA NEEYATHI LOKO;
    CHITTENA PARIKASSATHI “
    " චිත්තේන නීයතී ලෝකෝ;
    චිත්තේන පරිකස්සතී "
This explains it all, as to how the citta aspect of the mind, creates ourselves and the external universes and initiates rotation !
Without the Citta there is nothing.
Difficult for an ordinary person to comprehend.
Listen to Dr. Gamini Abhaya MD. MRCP. who has achieved Sowahn and Sakurdagami states in the Path to Nibbana, via RUclips, FREE OF CHARGE. to understand it well. THIS A TRUE.
When you look at the Original Buddha Doctrine, all these phenomena have been clearly espoused!

In psychology we learned that not everything we see is reality. There are illusions that the mind creates to understand its surroundings. And through understanding these visual illusions we can conclude that seeing is not necessarily believing. The auditory system works faster than the visual systems in humans. Auditory stimuli are perceived faster than visual stimulus. Even though we know from science that light travels faster than sound. Therefore, we can conclude that because of this slight delay in input, that our "now" that our brains construct based on external factors is based in the past. ❤
