Going on 78 and it changed my life 35 years ago and it is the only thing that makes sense to me . I live a good and happy life and take things as they come and don’t stress. 🙏🙏🙏
I came into learning about Buddhism when I was around 29 years old. I'm now entering my 79th year. Buddhism is the only philosophy that has ever made sense to me.
Buddhism is a religion for those who take it as a religion, and it is not a religion for those who don't take it as a religion. The Buddha didn't mean to create a religion. He meant to wake people up from the blindness of religions. However, those who loved him started worshipping him like God and this is what has made Buddhism a religion. The religionisation of Buddhism is a good thing for the world, because without it, Buddhism would have been ignored for long. Humans often need something deemed holy to cling on to for their peace of mind. If you compare Buddhism to a fruit, the philosophical part of it would be the flesh, and the paranormal part of it, which makes it a religion, would be the rind. Without the rind, the fruit will die, but in order to eat the fruit, one must peel off the rind and eat the flesh.
I feel incredibly proud and fortunate to be a Buddhist. Embracing its teachings has brought me profound wisdom, inner peace, and a deeper understanding of life’s purpose.
I am so envious of you, and you're serenity. My mind is so full of the confusion and fears, dogma of Christianity. I was scared and beaten as a child... in fear. And all my life... every job, every gathering of any kind, tv programs.. everywhere it's accepted and pushed on you.... i hate the thoughts and imaginations they've put in my head... I just can't get it out. I wish I didn't have any of it.... I want what you have....
@@klanderkalYou truly can! Your determination seems to be a step towards enlightenment. You acknowledge the tribulations you’ve experienced and how they mold you. Yet as stated, you are desiring it. When did he say that. He studied Islam to. Due to his study, everything can not be made by everything disproving Buddhism. There has to be a creator. It’s makes more faith in believing we all came from literally nothing than an entity creator. 😂 As people finding out the discoveries, Islam is now the fastest growing religion, from high ranking Christian leaders to Harvard scientists.
Buddhism indeed is beautiful and Meditation is the beautiful asset to humankind I am a hindu, I read Advaita, I support all forms of meditation Nothingness or Absoluteness Everything has a say
I’m a junior in high achool and my entire life I’ve been pushed by my family to believe in god, and although deep inside I knew that I was lying to myself every time I prayed, I just kept quiet since it’s what the people around me wanted. I’ve never really had a need to follow a religion/god since I always thought it was a made up sense of purpose that people made to assure themselves that they had a reason for living, so finding these teaching that resonate with my beliefs is such a breath of fresh air. I agree with literally everything in this and I want to live according to this. Thank you for making this, genuinely.
This is why I love Buddhism, it's the universal truth (saccha dhamma). Other religions fool and comfort you into believing the lies, Buddhism offers nothing but the truth and most can't accept it.
Blind Faith is the biggest threat to peace, harmony and well being of all living beings. The carnage, killings and destruction happening regularly in the world, in the name of religion or 'god', in itself is more than insane. Violence has absolutely no place in the DHARMA disclosed by the BUDDHA.The famed, highly respected Science Prophet ARTHUR C CLARK who made many accurate scientific predictions decades ago had proclaimed that by the year 2050 the only 'religion' that will survive the world will be BUDDHISM. Buddha only disclosed the ultimate truth about the universe and his core teachings, very much in harmony with nature and science, may never be challenged ! Thank you for this podcast.

The idea of erecting a statue is a human tradition, much like the concept of a Sunday or weekend. What distinguishes a weekend from any other day? Fundamentally, there's no difference; the sun rises and sets as usual. However, society has established the tradition of freeing workers and designating specific days for rest. Consider the time before calendars existed. Was there a concept of Sunday? Clearly not, and why does no one gaze about sunday directly?? it's also a tradition but people keep forgetting this thing. 😢
Sakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment in India about 2,567 years ago, and spent forty five years teaching the way that leads to enlightenment, The Lord Buddha said his teaching is very simple," Never do what is bad, Always do what is good, Purify the mind" Thanks,
This is what I love about Buddhist philosophy. I lived my life mostly by the Law of Cause and Effect and Reason. It doesn't require faith or believe, just the acceptance of what is. Going with the flow and living the Is-ness of life, not fighting the current, but maneuver in it. One gains confidence and assurance in acquired skills giving oneself a reason for living. Faith places the power in the hands of a higher power that is imaginary and neglects ones own potential to prosper. By the way, to me, atheism is simply a non-believe in a deity.
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful perspective, @SymbiosisAndre. Your appreciation of Buddhist philosophy, especially the Law of Cause and Effect, highlights a practical approach to life that is central to Buddhism. The concept that actions have consequences, which do not depend on belief but on natural laws, resonates deeply with many who seek a rational and self-empowering path. Your description of "going with the flow" and embracing the "Is-ness of life" beautifully encapsulates the Buddhist approach to living harmoniously within the dynamics of existence without resisting what life presents. This attitude allows individuals to harness their inner potential and navigate life's challenges more skillfully. It's also insightful how you differentiate the reliance on one’s own abilities from the concept of faith in a higher power, emphasizing self-reliance and personal growth. Buddhism indeed encourages this kind of self-reliance and mindfulness in understanding and interacting with the world.
One of the most ancient and beautiful religions we have!!!!! They have murdered much less and caused less damage than the newer religions. That's for sure.
It's Great Conversation About Buddha. I'm Very Happy & Lo❤️e Buddha. Kind Request To Translate This Into All Regional Languages To Understand Better Of This Conversation.
Officially, as a Theravada Buddhist monk, I would like to address this dilemma. Let's start with the definition of the term religion. What is religion? In my understanding, religion is a fan club of some deity and the veneration of that deity with the aim of obtaining certain benefits. For example, the benefit of living eternally, or the benefit of living in some heavenly paradise. By these criteria, Buddhism is NOT a religion. However, many people use Buddhism as a religion. For example, someone might use a microscope as a doorstop to keep a door from closing. Do you understand the analogy? What is Buddhism? Buddhism is a guide, an instruction on how to cease the process of rebirth. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'm kneeling in the doorway, looking thru the microscope. The door is trying to close, but I don't realize that I'm keeping the microscope glued to the floor with my being.
Buddhist is a tool or map to get where you ultimately wanted to be. So it doesn't matter what it's called as long as it does the job. I'm pretty sure Buddha doesn't care what people call this paths as long as you reach the goal of " Ending the Suffering "
supernatural beings, spiritual realms, sacred scriptures, monastics and ordinations, rituals and prayeres, prophets and saints... let me guess, none of that stuff is *real* buddhism.
@@myguitardidyermom212 Of course not. everything you listed is part of Buddhism. it is in the West that they want to curtail Buddhism and turn it into a type of “positive thinking”

For buddhism in my country (Vietnam), there is still the concept of deities and hell. And people still do stuff out of karmic brownie points instead of practicing the true non-desire. I would love to see buddhism in my country reach this level of understanding. p.s. Im agnostic btw
In this twisted, unstable, unjust country called the UK, its hard to believe in politics and its leaders. Buddhism is an internal world , the intangible , unfolding its self into the " real world ".
As another fellow south east asian, I think being clenic and mystic are disease in majority religions in Asian countries. A country with majority religion X will be "rotten" but religion Y, Z will be "flourish". But a country with majority religion Y will be "rotten" too, but religion X,Z will be the "flourish" one. And so on. 😅😅😅 so I suggest if you want to learn more buddhism, go to a country with buddhism as minority. Here in my country with 4-5% Buddhist population, Buddha monks kept remind everyone to stay away from mysticism and even monks will be "annoyed" when their hand or gown is touched and people kiss it. 😅😅😅

buddha didn’t say not to believe in gods, he said don’t depend on gods for ur wishes or desires, because that is a path u have to make urself. buddha also said, ur parents are ur gods.
Someone asked the Buddha: Does god really exist? Buddha replied: if you believe that there is, then yes, if you do not believe that God exists, then there is no
He acknowledged that there are entities that we think of as "gods" but that we should not be concerned with them, they have their own path and their own karma. But what the video is trying to say is that he thought there was no single creator god nor a common "source", in the sense that the Abrahamic religions teach.
You are very right, Buddha did not deny the existence of Gods, but his concern was the alleviation of suffering and the path of Buddhism is concerned with the cessation of suffering
Well I am a Buddhist and the God's in Buddhist teachings is another form of life. It has nothing to do with the all mighty. There are 31 dimensions that we are born into according to your actions, there are 6 different dimensions where a human or an animal can be born among Gods. Just like you are now born among humans. Please make a note these are another forms of yourself, not anything else.

I have something important to share with Buddhists. This is to inform you I am a freelance researcher on Buddhism, concentrating on how and why Buddhism disappeared from Bihar. I realize Buddhism still exists in Bihar but special research is needed to recognize this. Here is an example. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings and deeds which Buddhists have mistaken for manifestations. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain, and if one removes lust and desire, pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba? The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In Vaishali, in Beluha, the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. He felt his time had come. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. The unique thing is Brahmins aren’t allowed to pray to these Baba’s. So this is most probably another religion, the elusive Indian Buddhism. There are many more such examples.
I am in agreement with the tilte of this film! I am "so called" Buddhist, but from family to community to monk, nobody has ever told me what I must do. I just keep 3 principles: do not think bad about other persons, do not conduct bad actions, and do good things to others. I can visit and attend masses at Pagodas, Catholic Churches, Protestant Churches, Orthodox Churches, Mosques, and Synagogues.
buddhism is the study of the human mind. the buddha showed the difference between the brain and the mind! the mind is the wignngana which is an energy field somewhere inside or near the human brain. this leaves when we die. stay blessed all.

Thank you for presenting such deep insights in an engaging and accessible way! Truly inspiring and eye-opening.

The explanation at the beginning of this video is the reason why I've strayed away from Christianity and Catholicism and have favored Buddhism and Taoism instead.
I've recently left Islam and I find Buddhism beautiful. Abrahamic religions are there to manipulate, brainwashed and mentally chain them. It just wants to control people.

Thanks for these videos. They are quite inspiring and deep. Encourages me greatly on my spiritual path. Even if I disagree with one point or another the way it is presented is hard to argue with.
I live in Thailand and surrounded by Buddhism and the culture. I study the main teachings learning more about myself each time I read. I do not practice with the village culture or participate in giving morning alms. The monks have been to my house on countless occasions over 23 years to practice their chants and mantras for various reasons. I respect the Buddhist lents and all sacred days. What I enjoy about Buddhism is it's personal and your own path to be the best person you can be. There is no forcefulness, no bibles and such, no preaching with promises and fears. It's my own personal private thoughts and reasoning from day to day. If I followed the villagers to the temples and each morning knelt at the roadside to offer rice, I would feel part of a religious type group. I have no 'desire' to follow others or bow to men. We are all equal and only I can change me to be a better man. Buddhism for me is a way of my life, a guide to stay on my path.
Buddha is not against God, he is against believe. any spiritual seeking is in direct opposite of any believe. That is why Buddhism is not a religion - religion require believe. As long as you do your own inquiry you are on a spiritual path. Once you start to believe - even in Buddha - you are on the path of religion. 3 words need to be understood. believe, faith, trust. on the surface it might look like there are the same. they are not. believe (fundamental to all religions) means you don't know, but you think and act as if you know. this is very distorted way to experience life, because you will discard anything and everything that doesn't fit into your preconception and you will find the clues and proves of your believe, even when there are none. trust is on the opposite end, it is a quality you where born with. you couldn't have survived without trust. Trust has no theology, no reason, you just know - you are going to be ok. When the child is born trust is on 100%, believe is on 0%. then life happens. As trust goes down, there is a need of substitute. there believe creeps in. believe is based on fear. faith is a balancing force between trust and believe. it is a quality. you cannot have more or less believe,, but you can have more or less faith. Faith can go both ways. Towards believe, or towards trust. Buddha is absolutely against believe, but he is not against Faith if it serves as a path to regaining trust. desire: you cannot go around it, you must go through it. namely - the ultimate desire to be liberated. it is a desire, but it is needed, to eliminate all other desires, and ultimately it needs to be dropped as well. But it cannot be avoided. Desire for liberation is the last door that shuts all other doors before it is shut by itself. why not by you? because as long as there is "you" there is desire. if the hand is no more, the glove just fall off by itself. the very nature of desire is such, that it can never be satisfied permanently. and it cannot be eliminated either. the myth of Hydra is a great analogy of the desire. ehm, please do not speak about Vedas. You are not qualified. no dung, no flowers. Buddha understood it, that is why the very first thing he did after his enlightenment was pointing his hand to the ground saying - "the earth is my witness". in this sense, he was very much materialistic and realistic, in contrast to your idealistic and utopic views. I got up to the beginning of chapter 4, and that was enough for me. maybe I will watch the rest of it later, but so far it has been just another prove of misunderstanding(which would be ok) and misinterpreting (not so ok) Buddha. and it is bound to happen. Buddha uses words, which are the tools of the mind to describe something that is beyond the mind, knowing that he will be misunderstood. But he tried and would bless you anyway.
Buddhism is full of "believing"!!! There are many different versions of Buddhism too!!.. Spread throughout these versions are 'beliefs' in 'gods/deities, spirits, demons, hell and nirvana'..etc.. They also believe in the 8 fold path and the 4 noble truths, (which are beliefs again, in 'right ways' to exist..or practice being..and they desire to live life in these ways..) Sounds pretty religious to me!!!
thank sharing. Buddhism teaches that patience is the antidote to suffering. Have you ever thought about how cultivating patience in difficult situations could help you face adversity with more peace and less frustration?"
I was a student and a member of a Zen Buddhist community for over twenty years. I lived in a Zen Center for three of those years. Zen Buddhism taught me a lot about myself and the nature of my mind. It has helped me to confront my fears and eliminate my egotistical insecurities on a daily basis through meditation and mindfulness. I would not be the person I am today without it. I am grateful to my teachers and colleagues who have helped me along the path. I practice meditation everyday.🙏☮️☯️
This video is a true reflection of Buddhist wisdom. The message about karma is so deep and meaningful. Thank you for spreading such profound teachings!
Well yeah, as an ex Christian myself, I think it's because we are still biased towards our former faith and it's teachings, despite trying to either cut ourselves off from it or ignore it entirely. So whenever we hear or learn about other religions, that small part of us that still believes what we were told kicks in and makes us slightly more skeptical than we would've otherwise. Now, it may be different for you, but when I realised this, I found myself able to identify the thought patterns that Christianity hammered into me, and while I can't remove it, I can identify the thought process and move it aside so I can have the most unbiased view I possibly can. Again, this may not work for you, but I figured I could help, if you want my help at least.
Buddhism is Mind Only dharma, religion is God Only dogma. The optimists invent dharma to end suffering, the pessimists invent dogma to go to heaven. The pragmatist practises his own ideals choosing, either to a sectarian of dharma or dogma, or both to get the best of both worlds.
Thank you for your insightful comment, Feste Chew! You've succinctly described a fascinating perspective on the differing approaches and purposes of spiritual paths. The distinction you draw between "Mind Only dharma" in Buddhism and "God Only dogma" in other religions reflects deep philosophical views about the nature of reality and the goals of spiritual practice. Your characterization of optimists and pessimists and the pragmatist’s approach to integrating these views offers a thoughtful analysis of how individuals navigate their spiritual journeys. This kind of reflection helps deepen our understanding of the diverse motivations behind religious and philosophical adherence. If you’d like to discuss these ideas further or explore other aspects of how dharma and dogma interact and influence lives, I’d be very interested in hearing more!

Buddhism has many versions..with gods/deities, spirits, demons, hell and Nirvana, etc.. It also has the 4 noble truths and contains the 8 fold path .. for believing, and teaching and practice ( of their dharma).. Sounds pretty religiously requiring to me!!
I wanted to know how others, outside of the Sri Lanka see Buddhism. But I think there are few problems here. When u said there is no system of faith that is not true. I'm no expert but I think it's mentions 2 forms of faiths called 'bhakthi' (I think this is what you call faith) and 'shraddha', 2 leading different paths. And there are lots of things about gods and heaven and hell (I think last 2 are little complicated than they sound). But I'm happy that you think Buddhism is a non religious religion. I think so too. 👍
Many different versions of Buddhism exist!!..Many believe in gods/deities, spirits, demons, hell and nirvana; etc..And there are many rules (guidelines) for practice..The 8 fold path and the 4 noble truths;.. for example..('beliefs' in other words).. So it sounds quite religious in those respects, to me!!!
Generally religion mean faith in God, non religious religion means faith without God, but faith in your enlightened nature which is Buddha and Historical Shakyamuni Buddha personify our intrinsic Buddha nature, so Buddhist have faith to his path, teachings, wisdom and his enlightened nature. So when Buddhist pray or praises to Buddha or Buddhas, enlightened deities ( not worldly gods or goddesses ) it’s not blind faith but it’s a path to enlightenment to ultimately realise your own true nature. Karma, samsara ( six realms of existence ie hell, gost , animal, human, demigod , gods ) is a relative existence ( illusion or deluded existence) worldly dharma. If you propitiate gods ( deities) for worldly pleasure using Buddhist methods, it’s still a worldly dharma ( may call it Buddhist worldly dharma) If you pray to Buddha for wealth, avoid misfortunes, overcome illness etc it’s still a worldly dharma, so most Buddhist do practice worldly dharma to overcome temporary worldly suffering. However, ultimately Buddhist goal is to attain enlightenment ie Buddhahood so the ultimate path is Buddha Dharma- the enlighten dharma ( teaching of Buddha for enlightenment, freeing from samsaric existence of perpetual sufferings) Buddha taught 84,000 paths to enlightenment. Now we have 3 yanas ie Sravakayana, Mahayana, Vajrayana ( you can expand 3 yanas further to 9 subdivisions such as: Sravakayana to- saravakas, pratyekabuddha; Mahayana-Budhisattva; Vajrayana to- kriyatantra, upstantra,Mahayana, anuyoga, atiyoga. All these dharmas defers in methods in pratice but all are gounded in four noble truth, 8 fold paths, compassion, belief in karma, samsaric sufferings and ultimate goal is enlightenment. Nine yanas I have mentioned above has further divisions. Various yanas may appear conflicting to each other but only if you investigate the purpose for different methods employed then only you can understand why and you will not get confused and start levelling conflict views and approach to various Dharmic paths. Still then your cup of tea may not be for others. While I try to understand various paths some may not be to my affinity so I follow the one that I could understand such as meditation methods are abstract to me so time being I don’t , but try prayers to Buddhas and deities generation with understanding that deity or deities are ultimately is your true Buddha nature. So deities are the path that would lead to your ultimate enlightened nature. So, enlightened deities are in your being not outside of your being or mind. That’s why whatever the different paths in Buddhism one need to look inside one’s own mind for truth not outside of one self. Not God who is up there kinds of things which is blind belief system. So what’s Buddhism in simple terms, Buddha said- “ commit not a single unwholesome acts, cultivate a wealth of wholesome actions, tame our minds, this is the essence of Buddhas teachings.

The Buddhist doctrine is for whom with open mind with some intelligent skills and realised the 'dukka" of this endless "sansara" circle and like to end this, deep learning with meditation is the way
I don’t know who you are. And where you get your information from. But do you know that buddhas path is the path of meditation, of self discovery, of self experience and expirrential knowledge . His only path is to see the karmic habbits and defilements within oneself and release them through a practice of meditation called vipassana. So I want to ask you if you meditate and have found your ultimate reality,to judge or criticize other religions. Have you found the truth within yourself to know if god exist or not. Cos Buddha never denied nor affirmed the existence of God. His whole focus was to get out of the cycle of birth and rebirth called samsara and to get out of suffering Dukha You know nothing about the Hindu scriptures which only deal with the god within every sentient being. Which has no form and no name. Which Buddha calls anatta. N Your documentary should focus on teaching and not your own jargon that you pass off as buddhas teaching.
Thank you for sharing this inspiring video on Buddhist teachings. It has deepened my understanding of inner peace, compassion, and wisdom, motivating me to live more mindfully and peacefully. I truly appreciate it.
Wow!. Thank Ego Podcast for video of this PRACTICAL explanation. i love it when you say :"When you have ten thousand, you want 20,000...". It's so TRUE.
Buddhism is not a religion. It’s a teaching of what Buddha experienced and path to the truth. However, due to the need for religion by human to fill their spiritual vacuum, Buddhism religion was created. Then it was added with superstitious beliefs of local practices and legacy Hindu’s religion, ended up with many superstitious worshipping and practices of Buddism religions now. So many different types of Buddhism too to blend with different type of human cultures.
I very much appreciate the intellectualism of this video. It is thought provoking and a great summary of historic beliefs, teachings and philosophies. I agree so much with how we should consider the meaning of Life, God, etc. by not hiding behind any particular dogma or doctrine. Truth is an elusive concept for sure. Just hen you think you discover a truth you often find you were just being ignorant. Life is such a miracle why limit ourselves to anyones else’s meaning or reason of this miracle? Namaste. 🙏❤️
A given desire can be satisfied. What was meant is that desiring cannot be stopped while you're alive. Every thought we have is a need, want, hope, a/o fear.
May you find freedom in the profound wisdom of Buddhism, understanding that true peace lies beyond labels and doctrines. As you walk this path, may you discover your own inner truth and live with compassion, mindfulness, and harmony.
¡Gracias!

My story right down to the age and time. It could be me writing this.
Well said my friend.
It is indeed true.. completely agree with you
Sounds like Christianity to me, flesh, eating, religion at his best. There is nothing new under the sun.

Consider the time before calendars existed. Was there a concept of Sunday? Clearly not, and why does no one gaze about sunday directly?? it's also a tradition but people keep forgetting this thing. 😢

I don't know how to say in English, but I believe in the Buddha,Thank you very much for a good question,
Your conciousness is the one to tell you good from bad. "Treat others the way you like other to treat you".

Unofficially, as a me, I don't know what "with my being" means.
Buddhist is a tool or map to get where you ultimately wanted to be.
So it doesn't matter what it's called as long as it does the job.
I'm pretty sure Buddha doesn't care what people call this paths as long as you reach the goal of
" Ending the Suffering "
supernatural beings, spiritual realms, sacred scriptures, monastics and ordinations, rituals and prayeres, prophets and saints...
let me guess, none of that stuff is *real* buddhism.

here we go, I've just left Islam, I find Buddhism beautiful. It's still controlling than Abrahamic reigions.
I'm agnostic though.

Someone asked the Buddha:
Does god really exist?
Buddha replied: if you believe that there is, then yes, if you do not believe that God exists, then there is no
That is why this presentation is misleading...it amplifies atheism via misinterpreting Buddhism...

They also believe in the 8 fold path and the 4 noble truths, (which are beliefs again, in 'right ways' to exist..or practice being..and they desire to live life in these ways..) Sounds pretty religious to me!!!
why would you believe just because you don't know..if you are sure you must know simple.. belief and hope are hollow 🙏

As an ex Christian, I found this very religious in nature still.
I’m not claiming your wrong but please elaborate further I’m interested in your take
Well yeah, as an ex Christian myself, I think it's because we are still biased towards our former faith and it's teachings, despite trying to either cut ourselves off from it or ignore it entirely.
You needs to put translation in many languages. Many people need to watch this.

This is an epic work - about Lord Buddha - and these comments - have deep wisdom, quiet joy and peace
Truthfully words of wisdom! no gods no bibles and no 10 commandments even comes close. Thank you so very much for sharing.
Buddhism has many versions..with gods/deities, spirits, demons, hell and Nirvana, etc.. It also has the 4 noble truths and contains the 8 fold path .. for believing, and teaching and practice ( of their dharma).. Sounds pretty religiously requiring to me!!
Spirituality beyond man-made religions is the right way of life as Buddha's teachings to reject all forms of enslavement 😊🙏🙏🙏
However, ultimately Buddhist goal is to attain enlightenment ie Buddhahood so the ultimate path is Buddha Dharma- the enlighten dharma ( teaching of Buddha for enlightenment, freeing from samsaric existence of perpetual sufferings)
Buddha taught 84,000 paths to enlightenment. Now we have 3 yanas ie Sravakayana, Mahayana, Vajrayana ( you can expand 3 yanas further to 9 subdivisions such as: Sravakayana to- saravakas, pratyekabuddha; Mahayana-Budhisattva;
Vajrayana to- kriyatantra, upstantra,Mahayana, anuyoga, atiyoga.
So what’s Buddhism in simple terms, Buddha said-
“ commit not a single unwholesome acts, cultivate a wealth of wholesome actions, tame our minds, this is the essence of Buddhas teachings.

I completely resonate with your gratitude! The teachings of Buddhism offer profound insights into compassion and wisdom, which are essential for navigating life. It's wonderful how they encourage us to cultivate a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. Thank you for expressing this beautifully!
The Buddhist doctrine is for whom with open mind with some intelligent skills and realised the 'dukka" of this endless "sansara" circle and like to end this, deep learning with meditation is the way
I love this ... i can understand most of it . I've been Buddhist all of my life but never understood it like I've understand now . Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Sadhu 🤝
I don’t know who you are. And where you get your information from. But do you know that buddhas path is the path of meditation, of self discovery, of self experience and expirrential knowledge . His only path is to see the karmic habbits and defilements within oneself and release them through a practice of meditation called vipassana.
So I want to ask you if you meditate and have found your ultimate reality,to judge or criticize other religions. Have you found the truth within yourself to know if god exist or not. Cos Buddha never denied nor affirmed the existence of God. His whole focus was to get out of the cycle of birth and rebirth called samsara and to get out of suffering Dukha
You know nothing about the Hindu scriptures which only deal with the god within every sentient being. Which has no form and no name. Which Buddha calls anatta. N
Your documentary should focus on teaching and not your own jargon that you pass off as buddhas teaching.
the presenter is just talkative.
A good reply👍

@@EgoPodcastenglish Thanks.
The explanations about desire and its nature are truly profound and insightful.
The universal truth ❤
I very much appreciate the intellectualism of this video. It is thought provoking and a great summary of historic beliefs, teachings and philosophies. I agree so much with how we should consider the meaning of Life, God, etc. by not hiding behind any particular dogma or doctrine. Truth is an elusive concept for sure. Just hen you think you discover a truth you often find you were just being ignorant. Life is such a miracle why limit ourselves to anyones else’s meaning or reason of this miracle? Namaste. 🙏❤️
Thank you! Sadhu ❤️
Seek and be understanding, because understanding is always better than assuming, and knowing is better than believing.
I wish i can meet Buddha.
Same brother. I wish I met him.
If I can build a time machine, this will be the only thing I will do 🙏🙏🙏
Every person is Buddah natured, why not meet them? Every god is the greatest god in heaven and Earth. Every person has their own wisdom to share.
A given desire can be satisfied. What was meant is that desiring cannot be stopped while you're alive. Every thought we have is a need, want, hope, a/o fear.
Excellent presentation. Listening from Bangladesh. Thank you so much
