Well, they are both very pretty; and the free one could be great for lots of people starting out who don't already have lots of options. And it is easy to switch between them and try things out. From the brief images of plugin doctor, the activity looked pretty much what you would want, with no nasty surprises.
Yeah, there wasn't much to say with Plugin Doctor other than very obvious different curves and harmonics.

Wow 200 for some basic saturation with a warble knob. I mean the free one sounds kinda cool but I'd pay 25 for it and 50 for the full version at most. And I own almost every uad plugin as it is.
Yeah they're modelled really well, but I think even 99 is too steep for what it is.

I think that this is very good product, simple and brings a lot , the quality is about minimilism , and UAD this time provides also free version of this plugin, i think we have to appreciate UAD and their great effort ! Greets
I really liked it, gave the tracks some mojo. As long as it sounds good, it’s good enough for me. And yes, it won’t replace the tape plugins (the Waves J37 being my favorite of them all).
I'd put this on an aux track set the drive to max and just add to taste. They sound good but I wouldn't rely on it 100%. I'm glad it's free though!
I guess these are uh interesting. Probably best suited for those just starting a plug-in library collection. They sounded decent enough.
I'm not sure my Mac Mini could handle the spinning tape reels.

A one knob saturation plugin with no input or output gain is great? In what painfully mediocre universe 😂it must you must be really into the graphics!
It deffo has something to it. But i have solutions that i am happy with for my uses. The things i'd like changed about it i suppose are the point of it not having them. There just isn't enough control for my liking.
How about resizable GUIs for longtime DSP hardware owners?!
