Monomono's devices are great, they have an analog eq, compressor and tape devices, elphnt has some cool devices aswell, texture and console eq are great!
My most used M4L devices (just looking at my sketch template and picking some out in no order) NTPD2. -Write settings/things you need to remember within live, very nice. BiP (bounce in place) - Useful to get things into audio quickly to stop frying the cpu without needing to make a channel/set up record etc. Euclidean Sequencer Pro - Nice way to sequence drums or melodies. Patterning 1/2/3 and an ipad are better but this is a decent alternative. Sting - Gets that 303 style sequence going. Volume Buddy - Will save you money on fancy plugins that don't include gain-staging (I wonder why?) Honestly though, I've been fooled by "louder is better" then reduced the volume to match and found out I wasn't doing the sound any favours too many times to count. Delay Time Calculator - useful for quickly dialing in efx pedals and other things without doing simple math. (I have a bunch of hardware hooked up and a lot of it doesn't have midi-in) Song Sketch - Quickly arrange track to standard sub genre, just add ear candy/efx/fills. This will get you out of the endless loop and tell you if your initial idea is actually decent or if it falls apart. Knowing if elements become annoying, repetitive, or boring filler when the song should keep someone dancing/attentive/awake/in the venue over 5-8 minutes is vital. Retro Samplr Pro - Fun little sampler alternative for crunchy lofi downsampling. Bc Res Control - Makes your resonator go along with your midi notes so those Berlin Style resonated synth hits actually follow the key/progression of your track instead of staying stuck. Chord Pallate - This is a cool device that integrates with live 12. Good idea generator when you're chasing "the feels". Fletchwork Pro with Dmmg Pro Fors - Opal blööps blöcks - Fun Sequencer 🙏
@@Zdrewe haha yes.. I mean there are a few great third party ones. But im very happy I started with ableton and first learned those tools it comes with. And that helps alsaw to utilize the third party ones. By the way your work is great. Im a techno producer, but still learning alot from you, which I can use in my techno productions. Even made me curious to try some dnb :D
Hahah funny thing is while doing research I stumbled across Ducker. Need to double check its features and maybe do a little vid about sidechaining with a comparison. Thanks for the suggestion!
i am a ducker maximalist. chain shaper is cool. ducker is elite and has god tier usefulness. Especially once you realize what you can do with sidechaining delays and reverbs with something complex like vocals.
@@Zdrewe for sure. it's just a more consistent ducking effect. even if the vocal is dynamic, it will duck the same level. At this point in 2024, any minor improvement of a technique is worth getting hype about haha
Oh yeah at the very end you mentioned the idea of designing your own plugins. Well with Max4Live you actually don't have to code as you can use the node-based visual scripting. I've heard though that Plugdata has better ease of use and it can do certain things that Max4live would be otherwise be limited in(only limitation is plugdata patches require the base software to run). A producer called Nasko actually made some groundbreaking plugins in Plugdata. One is an easy to use spectral compressor(with the option to retain certain formants) and another is spectral envelope follower that is used to get rid of pre/post ringing added from plugins(like Pitchmap) or as a spectral sound design tool. Ultimately though its really what you're looking for when making a plugin so both are great.
Damn, thanks for the detailed info! Like I said I think to dedicate some time on the side to get into making those type of plugins/devices. Btw isn’t Nasko the man behind Chroma as well? 😉
I’m considering making more DnB focused videos rather than just using examples but honestly I just started making dnb seriously. Glad you like it tho! 🙏 Speaking of drums - it’s just a combination of sound selection, volume shaping and a looot of clipping with parallel compression. I’ll be talking about kicks in my upcoming video 😉
Excellent video great presentation fast and concise to the point. Excellent video work as well great transitions I love everything about this. You Rock!
Speaking of phase, there’s also a cool device by ARFAL called Histoscope. Sometimes I use it when I don’t want the heavy sidechain effect to check how the phase is looking
I launched patreon this week and by signing to the second tier you can participate in monthly hangouts on Zoom (starting November). 1 on 1 is a plan for near future as I synchronize my calendar with my full time job
I feel bad about barely scratching the surface of it. I was on a rush to highlight every device I planned but now I feel like it deserves a separate video 😅
Man, learn how to level your RUclips audio properly first, I've just sh*t my pants while your video was playing in the background; because your music is much louder than your speech.
Any suggestions on other Max 4 Live devices? Leave your favorites by replying to this comment! 😎

I like swiss army meter to get my LUFS right!
Yeah I think monomono’s pack is my next purchase. Elphnt is the goat, I use his converter device all the time!
Always on my master inside my UU rack 💪

Thank you for covering Varispeed!
No problem! It’s such a brilliant and super needed tool in my workflow. Thanks a lot for making it!! 🙏🙏
the price for those tools are insane.. allready feels like a steal without the discount..^^
Exactly, some plugin companies would charge 3 times more

Omg I’m buying Loopflip, Varispeed and Elisabeth Homeland’s wrappers for my plugins right now.. Amazing video, buddy!
You’re welcome! Damn I forgot to mention wrappers in this video. They make vst plugins nearly as good as M4L devices 😉
Great video! Did you try GMaudio ducker? Would be curious to see how it compares to chain shaper.

@@blazeluminati interesting I usually use a compressor to reduce my reverb with the vocals. Never tried with this ducker
@blazeluminati interesting… guess I really need to find out what’s up with that.

Means a world my friend 🙏🙏
Can’t believe I haven’t been subbed until now😮 so much value
Means a lot 🙏🙏 thank you!
Bro your editing in these videos are crazy!!!
Thanks man! 🙏
I can’t find the metal pipe device.. really need this one
It’s an exclusive one, only for serious projects 😂😂
been using chain shaper for a good while, it's cool. Great vid again man

Hello! I have only abelton live 11 standard. I bought varispeed vst but it doesn't work... how can I use it? Thanks!! For the video!
You need max for live. I believe you need Suite to get access to it.
Some Drum and Bass videos would be cool, especially how you get that sound on your drums.
I’m considering making more DnB focused videos rather than just using examples but honestly I just started making dnb seriously. Glad you like it tho! 🙏

Is there a way to make loop flip work for live 10 suite ?
Unfortunately no, from what I know it was made for 11 and up
@@Zdrewe thank you for your reply :) have à Nice day

Thanks a lot 🙏🙏
Still rocking live 10 suite
All the devices from this vid work on 10 as well
Leci sub, swietny channel, wszystkie device'y sciagam🙌🔥
Dzięki wielkie 🙏
Got the link for the metal pipe ?
Just type "Buglebot M4L" in google. Guy has some videos about it as well
thank you for these great suggestions 🍻
ChainShaper is ACE! I was looking for a good phase tool that wouldn't crash Ableton. Thnx for sharing!

@@Zdrewe Looks sweet! And it's Push 2 optimized. Amazing. 🙏🏻
You look like 28 and 40 at the same time
Hahahahah soooo close - 31 😂
Great video! thanks so much!
Confusing english word that totally makes sense to misspronounce:
Suite = Sweet. same sound.
Im ready to turn on pink or candy themed skin and call it Live Sweet for real!
Thanks a lot 🙏🙏
@@Zdrewe Would be SICK! like a Winamp Skin, haha

I launched patreon this week and by signing to the second tier you can participate in monthly hangouts on Zoom (starting November). 1 on 1 is a plan for near future as I synchronize my calendar with my full time job
Does this max for live devices works on live standard? Thanks for the video!
As I said at the beginning - you either need to get M4L license alone or upgrade to Suite to use Max 4 Live devices. You’re welcome 🙏
Thank you. English is not my main language and I didn't understand that. Thanks for clarifying
@BobOscuro oh sorry then, no worries my friend 😉
I’m on 10 suite
Do these work for FL Studio??
Nope, those are made for Live exclusively
the vector devices are fun
These dark glasses are my ... mainstay
oh man loop flip looks so good
I feel bad about barely scratching the surface of it. I was on a rush to highlight every device I planned but now I feel like it deserves a separate video 😅
Loop flip is just amazing
Thank you!!
Most welcome!
Discount code doesn't work... Not buying, it's just been 2 months
Awesome review
Thx man.

Welcome to RUclips videos on music production 🎉🎉😂
The discount code on loop flip is not valid.
Make sure you apply it without quotation marks. It works for me 😉
damn i will buy chain Shaper O_O
Life (and Live) gets easier with chain shaper 😂
GMaudio Clipper uses a lot of CPU
I think he optimized some stuff with 2.5 version
haha, instgat like (N° 300) and Sub
Appreciate that 🙏🙏

Well hello there 😎
I like your info but I do not like your American style of dubstep.
I’m aware of the hate for US D&B but I had no idea that someone would call it dubstep 😂 thanks anyway man
What an unnecessary comment, thanks for stopping by tho 😁
Yea make them illegal 😂😂😂😂
