Thanks for mentioning my plugin. Duck Buddy 2 never crashes because I optimized the shit out of it. And it uses 74% less CPU than Borrasca's. Btw, calling DB2 a rip off of Borrasca is like saying Serum is a rip off of Massive because they're both wavetable synths.
Not to D*** ride or anything but the more I use your device the more I like it over borrasca. One little request- it would be amazing to have you a floating, bigger shaping window (or maybe it’s just me getting older and blind). Great work anyways! 🙏
Thanks a lot man!! The Cymatics plugin is basically halftime so if you seek for a stock/m4l solution just get Pitch Hack from Creative Extensions pack on Ableton's website (it's free)
bro I love your channel ! Sell me anything ! What I've found here is super useful! and yew , I supported some of the plugins by buying. What you share makes so much sense
Always cool to watch your videos. I've got myself quite a few M4L devices thanks to you. I really appreciate it and I sure would like to have a part 2. 😊 👍
@hjvarfjell true that, I just stumbled across Pro Q3 replacement that costed me 30 bucks. Unfortunately it has some bugs in Live 12 but I reached out the developer to figure it out
Great vid and yes please part 2. Im curious to try Borrasca Sidechainer. Currently my favorite go to volume shaper is Gm-Audio Ducker. I think that it was like 10 bucks or something but I use it on every track nowadays. I also like the Gm-audio High Frequency Limiter. Pretty sure that one is free. I also love M4l Spectral Resonator. That thing is a beast for trippy sound design.
Borrasca is insanely precise, worth every penny you can get it for. Will check the GM limiter. Not the ducker tho - 3 shapers I already have is more than enough 😂
My top 2 this year. AbletonDrummer - Global MIDI Map Allows you to export hardware MIDI mapping with Live sets (or save your mappings as a preset device) so you dont have to re-map your hardware every time. Basically a portable drag/drop of an entire hardware mapping saved as an adg file. Elisabeth Homeland - Ground Control Allows you to automate plugins inside UAD Apollo Console INSERT slots via Ableton automation lanes. And a bunch of other awesome stuff. Basically makes the entire Console GUI visible inside Ableton FX lanes and makes it all mappable/automate-able.
@@Zdrewe Thats what I get the most out of M4L, for sure. The expanded control over stuff is what makes Ableton+M4L so useful to me. Honorable mention goes out to Iftah Gabbai for his Performance Pack (specifically the Performer grid) for making a single GUI to consolidate all of your macro knobs into one place. Fully customizable and includes extra cool stuff that makes macro knobs even better.
I absolutely appreciate your Ableton stock videos. They are reminding me always that it is better to know your equipment but buying new one (even if it is hyped). But one tip: If you like Hipass / Lowpass Filter in one Plugin for free, checkout plasticity filter of boom shanka machines. It is really nice and as already told, for free.
I have a conspiracy theory where you and Alex Reid are the same person, you just put on the rabbit mask when you record videos about Bitwig lol. Subbed to both of your channels 😉
@@Zdrewe Oh, gotta check that video out then! Jolt is really good, a one-slider crunchy distortion, I sprinkled it on some drum tracks and worked wonders. It can get pretty nasty too.
First I use the app, not the host plugin. You can detach modules by clicking the arrows on them. My “main” window is the spectrum above from which I detached meter, oscilloscope and stereo analyzer. Then I dragged them to where the info box in Live is and pinned to top.
@ no worries! I get so many comments about MiniMeters that I should probably make a tutorial 😂 you’re the first one to not ask what’s the app called tho
Damn, you’re right. I forgot about sequencers and since now there are 3 “stock” ones it would be cool to compare. If I remember correctly snake now has a midi tool version btw.
I remember learning a bit of M4L for one of my Sound Design modules at University. Fair to say that they made the course as boring as it could possibly be and since then I have made every effort to AVOID learning any more about this programme which University made me hate... I had no idea people were even using it for production. Fuck that course man.
Damn that’s bad considering how cool effects you can achieve. I’m not even close to building my own devices but at some point I might get into it. If I remember correctly ELPHNT has a Max course and I’m sure it’s far better from what you experienced
I recommend you to check out the Chord palette midi tool. I also want free meter devices (swiss army alternative). Free m4l plugins we can use for mixing & mastering
In addition to letting me know if you want part 2 or not, feel free to leave some of your favorite M4L picks. 💪
Part 2? Hell yea man. Game needs you
Yesss part 2 is a need
All killihu stuff is awesome, have some must have devices

Thx for featuring Tinyspace! ❤
Getting into your spring reverb device in part 2 😉
Great video. We sure want part 2!
More m4l videos please!
Say no more 🤘
Part 2 please! Also, I love your use of stock plugins, would it be possible to make something like cinematics Deja vu plugin? Thx
Thanks a lot man!! The Cymatics plugin is basically halftime so if you seek for a stock/m4l solution just get Pitch Hack from Creative Extensions pack on Ableton's website (it's free)
5:35 You don't have to select hard clip again unless you're touching the dry/wet or color settings
That tinyspace commercial 😂 Thanks for the information 🙌
Ngl, some plugin ads feel like this 😂
Please continue this series!
yes Part 2 would be perfect!!! THX for your great work.

Sometimes I feel like gettin M4L is the same as getting plugins… but then I forget about it and get more for a part 2 😂
@ 😂😂 I guess you are right, but at least most of the useful M4L devices aren't terribly expensive.
@hjvarfjell true that, I just stumbled across Pro Q3 replacement that costed me 30 bucks. Unfortunately it has some bugs in Live 12 but I reached out the developer to figure it out

What a great video!
Thanks and glad to see you here man 💪💪
Much love man. I love all your videos man

Acabo de descubrir este canal y me encanta!

Nice picks, very specific yet super useful for hardware geeks

This video is gold and we want part 2!
Thanks a lot 🙏

Glad to hear that and thanks for the recommendation. This one looks like DJM from Xfer but on steroids
Nice, pls part 2
Is there something like MT2M but for Live 11?
A part 2 would be amazing
Coming up this Friday 😉
I have a conspiracy theory where you and Alex Reid are the same person, you just put on the rabbit mask when you record videos about Bitwig lol. Subbed to both of your channels 😉
You got me… the rabbit mask has built in accent and voice changer alongside the ability to power use both daws 🤷♂️
New Fors Dyad is a killer, give it a try!
I actually mentioned Fors in part 2 of this video a week ago. Been loving Retur and Bokeh delays. How is Jolt distortion inside Dyad?
@@Zdrewe Oh, gotta check that video out then!
Jolt is really good, a one-slider crunchy distortion, I sprinkled it on some drum tracks and worked wonders. It can get pretty nasty too.
Do you have a video on how to get that sweet distortion from this videos track? 🔥
Not yet although it comes from the presets I made on Phase Plant, especially the new filter table device plus a couple of saturators on top 😉
@ nice! I’ll grab them from your store (first time seeing one of your videos, excellent 👊🏽 )
@MikeDeanOfficials means a world man! 🙏 I’m yet to put some presets on my website but I have some cool racks over there.
@ I’ll grab them but will keep eye out for new stuff, love your work
Yes, more please.
How is the device in your master channel called, that shows the waveform and the LUFS?
0:43 Minutes you can see it
It’s not a device. Look for MiniMeters app on Google 😉
Yes please , pt 2. Look forward to it. 😂
How do you set MiniMeters in Ableton like you have?

Yea, more M4L device vids! I'm trying to learn M4L but it overheats my 3 brain cells quickly. (side note: AL is having a sale! Finally get to upgrade)
Wait, you’re trying to learn to make max devices? If so, then you’re crazier than me 😂
@@Zdrewe Haha, Yes, I've embraced the Flying Spaghetti Monster, aka M4L.
DEF PART 2!
Prt 2 plz
Yes part two
part 2 needed
All type of sequencer like snake etc

Maybe they ran into some server issues due to Black Friday 😂

M4l m4l m4l part2 🎉
Any of your favorite ones that I should look for?
I recommend you to check out the Chord palette midi tool. I also want free meter devices (swiss army alternative). Free m4l plugins we can use for mixing & mastering
Haha Chord palette was a main star of my first video on Midi tools. Such a great one! Will try to squeeze out something for mixing and mastering 😉
I think I just suggested you the vehicle I saw from you. I better watch all your videos, it seems like I have long hours ahead of me 😅
Yes please 🎉
So cringe 😆
