@@Zdrewe Yes definitely….I liked the tune you used to exemplify use of the beat repeater to create transitions. You seem to use drum and top loops in that track. I tried to magnify the yellow loops to figure out where you got them from even! A lot of dnb tutorials on RUclips use one shot samples - but sometimes I get fed up with selecting snares, kicks and hats….it takes away from getting tunes started efficiently - I mean you can go back and replace them later if you want. I think it would be great if you could outline your process on one of your wicked tracks!
I love the fact that people decide to make these great M4L devices and make them free, but there are often issues with many of them. For instance, we have a tendency to believe that if it's made with Max 4 Live then the CPU usage is great. NOT SO with SOOOO many of these plugins. An example is the PRE 73 you showcase here. It sounds great, but the CPU usage is off the charts compared to similar plugins from great 3rd party manufacturers. For instance, I can set my buffer to 512 samples and use 20 instances of VPRE73 from Black Rooster with only 25% CPU usage (plus those are optimized so they only use CPU when audio is running thru them). Meanwhile, just 8 PRE 73 instances gets me to 25-28%... Sometimes 3rd party is just easier to use across a massive session because they take the time to optimize them.
Don’t know what to say - thank you or ask you to don’t f*ck up your sleep schedule. I guess the second one since we producers don’t have sleep schedules at all 😂
I'm not really hyped to buy a lot of max for live devices, I explain, sometimes they do something really unique, but when it's not the case why we would buy max for live device? only compatible with live? I Really prefer to work with some cheap vst's pack (like arturia), because they are compatible with any daw and vst Host...
You’re completely right about compatibility (while sharing projects across daws for example). I have and tried dozens of plugins and I can’t fully neglect some but I feel in love with M4L for the native integration with Live. I find it more and more convenient as I use more and more stock devices. They’re usually way less cpu intensive as well.
@@Zdrewe I agree for all, but at this point I can't stand anymore live tiny UI and there is no option to zoom with a shortcut, I work on a 14" and use gui at 80% this is just pain... And i work on other daw for rec. and use live professor for live Foh gigs, so...
0:52 Actually, you can. You need to press record and during the recording, you can move all parameters at once, and Ableton will record all automation, if I understood you correctly.
That’s an idea. Obviously it would record it but I thought more about something that for example Morph EQ by Minimal Audio can do. Maybe not to the point of writing move paths but one knob to shift all the EQ points would be nice to have
Group the Eq and each band you want, put a different macro; on the map button decide the range. Then group again and place a macro to move everything or however you like :)
Not sure about the DRYWET automation of Petal, but Izotope Trash 2 (the OG one) suffers from this issue too - cannot automate DRY/WET. The solution for me was to builld a DRY/WET rack and just drop it in there and automate it.
@@Zdrewe ah oky so its not like add this hand manual ....itq comes with the device that can be contr.with midi ... Or we can add it and desactivate it ..
You’re the reason I decided to get rid of all them plugin that i never use and decided to go raw with Ableton 😂😂
Believe me, I went the same path with my plugins. Now I’m only getting M4L 😂
Easy man be safe 😂
The monomono tools are choice! Thanks for highlighting it.
Best production tips for DnB out there….you rock mate
Thanks a lot man 🙏 that being said I need to make a dnb focused tutorial, not just showcase some tips using dnb tunes 😎 what would you like to see?

been saying that for since 2007, M4L is not only for builders but also for users.
If you want a faster filter just throw 2 in a rack!
What is this, a crossover episode?

So true.
Damn u the GOAT for useful Ableton information
Means a world my friend 🙏 I would say I’m rather a nerd tho 😂

@lookmomonlycomputer maybe it’s just me or I’m old but whenever I’m out from home I use my 14” with 100% zoom 😂

@@Zdrewe Yeah, I got you. It would be a really good feature.
What about using the stock Utility instead of widen ?🤔
Naaah, you should keep stock utility in mid side mode all time and work with that. Widening feature from it is trash

Thanks for the reminder about using rack for that. Need to try it out 🙏
Man that's Leslie rotary speaker! Use it on electric pianos ...
That supposed to be a joke but thanks bro 😅
Sweet ;)
1:50 - What's the name of the device to the left of the notepad?
It’s an app called minimeters. I just resized it to fit the info box in Live
Ableton live soot 0:15
Ableton Live Groot
Max 4 Live Plugins Make my Ableton Useless. Please explain.
I think you read that title all wrong my friend 😂
I did, but my eyes only see the sad, sad truth. I tried your LFO/Envelope tutorial only to crash Ableton when loading the plugins! Idk why.
But I've always had problems with m4l. It's why I rarely use it.
None of the Monomono devices are free, or am I doing something wrong?
Just like I’ve mentioned, only the preamp is free. For the rest there’s a discount code 😉
What does it mean by this hand in the devices .plz and how to get it pllz ❤❤❤
Can you specify? 🧐
@@Zdrewethere is a Bleu hand in some devices ...ex in Levels device ..and widen ...etc..... Its a bleu hand ...
Ohh now I get it! It indicates that this device can be controlled by midi controller which in my case is Push 😉

These max 4 live devices made me switch to fl 🤥
It's not free or at least not anymore
You can map all the parameters to a macro one nob
