What is the exegetical basis for saying that? I had a look at Bible passages (in the KJV) that talk about Jesus being raised the third day. None of them mention the Sabbath in the chapter where they appear in, so I don’t think that your interpretation is Scripturally sound. Matthew 17:23, 16:21, Mark 9:21, 10:34, Luke 9:22, 13:32, 18:33, 24:7, 24:21, and 24:46 all feature this comment, and Jesus was right. However, to apply it to the Sabbath would wrest the text. Can you explain what you mean “exactly like them”, and “it’s like you took lessons from them”? I’m confused about what you are talking about, so I’ll hear your thoughts... The way Jesus helped people on the Sabbath informs the way we treat the Sabbath in that we realize that there is a need to help people on God’s holy Sabbath day.

If you listen carefully to what was said, Doug Bachelor really only makes a case that Islam distorts the character of a loving personal God. I think, with all due respect, that you are twisting it. You try hard to show how the concepts are different in terms of beliefs and principles. Of course they are, otherwise there wouldn't be any reason to distinguish the religions of the book. BUT. They are all referring to the same god initially. They just associate him with different properties and ideas. It's like three brothers having the same father but remembering him differently and recalling different events they shared with him. At the end of the day, it's still the same father. The differences are fundamental in terms of principles (for instance, the trinity and divinity of Jesus) but in terms of "plots", they are referring to the same events and characters. Islam very much recognizes Jesus and his deeds, it just doesn't recognize his divinity and, consequently, some of his latest alleged actions. The most dishonest part is when you are trying to show that jews and christians share the same god while muslims are different... If you believe that Yahweh is the same god shared by the jews and christians, you have to admit that they are not the same in principle since one is a trinity while the other is also unique god. That's quite a HUGE difference there. So how come you keep associating those two religions anyway? There are more conceptual differences between jews and christians than there are conceptual differences between jews and muslims. So much that rabbis admit that Allah and yahweh are one and the same while they distance themselves from the christian god a great deal because of the trinity. Indeed, both the latter believe in a one-and-only lord and both reject the divinity of Jesus. Further more, muslims very much consider the jewish bible as a sacred book, admitting that yahweh and Allah are just one and the same as well. So, if you want to separate Allah from the Christian god, you have to separate the christian god from the jewish one as well, based on major conceptual differences. And based on the same differences, you should unite the jewish and muslim god (one and only god) but separate the christian one (trinity) from those two. But separating the christian god and the jewish one would be a hard sell since Jesus explicitly said that his lord was the lord of the jewish people... And to make the whole thing even more complicated, you should acknowledge that not all christians accept(ed) the trinity dogma. So that argument shouldn't be used to make any of your points... Trinity is a double-edged sword here... All in all, those gods are one and the same, people just decided to arrange the events and concepts associated to them at their convenience. Basically, christianity is the sequel of judaism with a twist and islam is the sequel of christianity with another twist. Admitting that would allow to build bridges between people. Rejecting that is just adding walls between people. It's easier to hate people when we think they are different than us and to love the ones we feel we share some common features with... It's just politics in disguise and it's sad.

Hebrew's "El" just refers to "god", and "Elohim" is in the plural (although it does mean many gods, in context of the Old Testament, it just referred as the Majesty of God - The Great Almighty One God). Not at any time, the word refers to "the father". In Aramaic (Iesous son of Maryam's language), father is "abba" or "aba". In Hebrew it's "ahv". In Arabic, father is also "aba" or "abi" or "abu". God in Aramaic is "Eil" or "Alaha/Elaha" as "The God". In Arabic, god is "ilah" , my god is "ilahi" and "Allah" is "the God" (in context of Islam, the one singular almighty GOD). When the Aramaic speaking guy that got nailed violently to the cross screamed: "Eilahi! Eilahi! Lamah sabachtani?", he was saying: "My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me?" ... Then, some smart-ass white guy who could not speak a single word of any of those Semitic languages, concluded that "The Real God" is actually something else altogether. Hallelujah!

You here agree he is not the same God as the Christian God. How do I explain pastor Carter and Nelson's remarks on Allah being the true God. Yet you didn't say that the Bible teaches the forgiveness of the sin on man. It also teaches us how we should follow the teachings of the Bible and follow Jesus Christ Holy, and be righteous in God's eyes so that he my love thee. So while the Quran teaches too follow the laws of God (Allah), and they are more strict over breaking the laws and leave the forgiveness of individuals unto God (Allah). The Bible does say that which ever part becomes evil and commits the sin should be removed. If it is the hand that has become evil then it is the hand that should be removed. Book of Matthew. This means that if someone were to steal with the hand it should be removed as punishment or it will corrupt the whole. Jesus says we can forgive the person, however if they keep doing evil then they should be punished. Can someone tell this guy that no where in the Bible (which is corrupted by men) Jesus claimed to be God and said worship him. In fact Jesus said that the ONLY True God is the father which literally destroys trinity (made up 300 years after Jesus in council of Nicaea). Muslims will tell you Allah is NOT a healer. Our God is a healer physically and emotionally. Allah does NOT give you gifts like prophesy, healing, tongues, or interpretation of dreams. “Raised the third day” doesn’t say anything about the Sabbath. The Lord Jesus Christ did not say that the day he rose from the grave would replace the Sabbath. What is the exegetical basis for saying that?
I had a look at Bible passages (in the KJV) that talk about Jesus being raised the third day. None of them mention the Sabbath in the chapter where they appear in, so I don’t think that your interpretation is Scripturally sound. Matthew 17:23, 16:21, Mark 9:21, 10:34, Luke 9:22, 13:32, 18:33, 24:7, 24:21, and 24:46 all feature this comment, and Jesus was right.
However, to apply it to the Sabbath would wrest the text.

You try hard to show how the concepts are different in terms of beliefs and principles. Of course they are, otherwise there wouldn't be any reason to distinguish the religions of the book.
BUT.
They are all referring to the same god initially. They just associate him with different properties and ideas.
It's like three brothers having the same father but remembering him differently and recalling different events they shared with him. At the end of the day, it's still the same father.
The differences are fundamental in terms of principles (for instance, the trinity and divinity of Jesus) but in terms of "plots", they are referring to the same events and characters.
Islam very much recognizes Jesus and his deeds, it just doesn't recognize his divinity and, consequently, some of his latest alleged actions.
The most dishonest part is when you are trying to show that jews and christians share the same god while muslims are different...
If you believe that Yahweh is the same god shared by the jews and christians, you have to admit that they are not the same in principle since one is a trinity while the other is also unique god. That's quite a HUGE difference there. So how come you keep associating those two religions anyway?
There are more conceptual differences between jews and christians than there are conceptual differences between jews and muslims.
So much that rabbis admit that Allah and yahweh are one and the same while they distance themselves from the christian god a great deal because of the trinity.
Indeed, both the latter believe in a one-and-only lord and both reject the divinity of Jesus. Further more, muslims very much consider the jewish bible as a sacred book, admitting that yahweh and Allah are just one and the same as well.
So, if you want to separate Allah from the Christian god, you have to separate the christian god from the jewish one as well, based on major conceptual differences. And based on the same differences, you should unite the jewish and muslim god (one and only god) but separate the christian one (trinity) from those two.
But separating the christian god and the jewish one would be a hard sell since Jesus explicitly said that his lord was the lord of the jewish people...
And to make the whole thing even more complicated, you should acknowledge that not all christians accept(ed) the trinity dogma. So that argument shouldn't be used to make any of your points...

All in all, those gods are one and the same, people just decided to arrange the events and concepts associated to them at their convenience.

Can someone tell this guy that no where in the Bible (which is corrupted by men) Jesus claimed to be God and said worship him. Quran doesn't say that god spoke to Mohammad peace upon him , in Quran the only prophet that god spoke to directly is Moses peace upon him.

There are so many words in Quran about Allah's merciful, greatness, forgiving, justice. Muslims always start any actions with words which mean "In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful" (bismillah)

If you search in Quran something negative you can find several verses which seem to be negative. But if you learn them in details, if you read their tafsir - comments and expalations of imams and theologians, if you learn previous verses and understand full context then you will understand that there is nothing negative in Islam.
Jihad is not fighting non-muslims and converting them forcefully! Jihad is self-defence! Jihad is fighting those who fight muslims!
“Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors.” (Quran 2:190). And its continue:
“And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. Notice: fight those who fight you! Kill those who is fighting and abusing muslims! Even in this situation Allah tells us not to transgress and tells to expel them from wherever they expelled us, it means muslims kill only those who is fighting muslims and they don’t touch other non-muslims especially children, women, old and invalid people.
