One of the truths that qualify a person to know if they are a Christian or not is the doctrine of the Trinity. There are 3 persons in One God. God is the Essence, the One. The 3 persons are all separate persons. God the Father-first person, God the Son, second Person, God the Holy Spirit, third person. I partially agree and disagree. I don't believe you should use the names Allah and Yahweh interchangeably just to relate more easily to someone of a different faith, however they still are the same God of the Old Testament. How we treat them today might be different, but that is separate from who they are originally. Though if you bring the trinity into the argument, then I would have to agree that in that sense then yes there is a difference, but again it is only a partial difference either way, since 1/3 of that formula is still God from the Old Testament.

The first part of the name comes from the Hebrew word 'yihye' which is third person imperfect pronoun. The second part states the self sustaining nature of the person spoken of. The Bible tells us Moses was the first to call the Almighty by that name. Before him Abraham called Him El Shaddai.
Arabic and Hebrew have words that sounds similar and mean the same thing. Like Hu and Huwa.
Even in my own language Kiswahili which was influenced by Yemeni Arabic (when Yemen was had a large Jewish presence) Yeye Huwa means exactly why YHWH (YHVH) means: He always is or He will always be.

I partially agree and disagree. I don't believe you should use the names Allah and Yahweh interchangeably just to relate more easily to someone of a different faith, however they still are the same God of the Old Testament. How we treat them today might be different, but that is separate from who they are originally. Though if you bring the trinity into the argument, then I would have to agree that in that sense then yes there is a difference, but again it is only a partial difference either way, since 1/3 of that formula is still God from the Old Testament.

I am very well read on this subject. Mohammed created Islam by putting together a mishmash of Arabic Pagan beliefs, Judaism, and Christianity. But Yahweh is mentioned in many verses that were written in Hebrew: 1/1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/7, 2/68, 3/5, 3/6, 3/8, 3/10, 3/11, 6/22, 7/6, 7/10, 7/11, 7/27, 7/28, 8/29, 9/5, 9/8, 9/15
Also, Yahweh is not mentioned in the New Testament, which was written in Greek, not in Hebrew. Even those parts of the NT that quote verses from the OT replace "Yahweh" from them with the greek "Kyrios" (Lord)
The Quran is not written in Hebrew, so Yahweh shouldn't be in the Quran, even if its author knew about it. The Quran mentions “Al-Qayyum” as one of Allah's names, and it is translated as The Subsisting, The Self-Existing, similar to the meaning of Yahweh
Allah is the Name of God of Islam..... because once Quran translated it to other language ALLAH is still allah.
While when you say God in the other language it written in other way like;
God=Dios (Spanish)
God=Theos (Greek)
Allah = Ala (Spanish)
Allah = EL. Αλλάχ (Greek)
