In ancient India, our ancestors used to debate so much and it was a high moral society. We are their descendants and we must learn from them. I don't think the Assamese historian is correct in describing that Saraideo Moidam as a holy place for the Assamese people. It's a place of historical importance but nothing to do with the religion of the Assames people, which are mainly Vaishnava and Shakta followers. These Moidams were of the Ahom kings who actually came from Thailand. For Assamese people, we do not bury but cremate as followers of the Vedic system.
