The earliest reference to Habung comes in the 10th-century copper plate grant of Ratnapala of the Pala dynasty . when it was a province (visaya) of the Kamarupa Kingdom with Brahmin settlements. It is known that Sukaphaa, the Ahom king, spent a few years in Habung before finally settling down at Charaideo in 1253.
You said that wall are made from bricks... It is wrong walls are made from sticky rice ,egg, fish etc and many natual things are added to made that walls..
'Talatal Ghar' was supposed to be made as puzzle for saving them from enemies as told by my elders. The uniqueness about it: when you go downstairs you will feel that you are climbing up. In the structure unique things were used like sticky rice, duck egg and the egg shells. The reason of the four storeys were being blocked was, as long ago some couple went to visit that place and got lost on the lower section of the structure and never came out. They couldn't find the body so they covered the lower section of the structure and it is still not allowed to go down. I don't know about the lost couple story and the puzzle is true or not but the lower section is completely closed with concrete I saw it with my own eyes 15 years back. May be they must have opened it now for tourists. I'll check when I visit there next time. You also forgot to mention that 'Shiva dol' temple's top most dome is made of gold the other two temples also had the dome of gold which was stolen by the Brits. They also managed to bring down the Shiv dol dome which fell in the lake beside it however before that could be taken out we got our independence and they left it there later it was placed back on the top. I don't know how much truth is there in it; I was told by my cousins about this story who stays in Shivsagar. Shivsagar is now filled with illigal immigrant of Bangladesh so you'll see lots of mosques near the Shivadol and even the shopkeeps. Big request to all youtubers to show that in your blogs and appeal to government to look into it. They make fake IDs to reside there. I stopped going there from past 15 years as I felt that within few years I felt like I'm either in Bangladesh or Pakistan. I don't have any issue with religion but I can't stand these illigal immigrants, who have easily captured our lands.

I think Ahom Dynasty is coming to limelight in last few years outside Assam and it is getting much needed exposure to the rest of india. It is high time that a chapter is dedicated to history of Ahoms in every state's history curriculum. many foreigners are doing research on Ahom Dynasty. i knew a few from Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.

Ahom dynasty se pehele bhi aur dynasties thi Assam pe,uske bare me toh koi baat hi nahi karta.I hope they get the recognition as Ahom dynasty getting these days
Thats the bitter truth brother. The rulers of Kamrup were later on defeated by Koch and Ahom kings only because they were not united. I'm pretty sure you're either a Koch or a Kalita🙃
But assam literally means ahoms and there are no confirm records of the old kingdoms of assam before ahoms so we can say assam history started with the ahoms and it is the ahoms who shaped majority part of axom
@anonymousfandom164 , Before the Ahom kingdom emerged, the North-east was consisted by several distinct Kingdom States such as the Kachari, Meitei, Chutiya and Jaintia. Each of them plyed a crucial role in the region's history and politics.

@@SiddharthaJoshiFilms thanks for the reply 🙏
Lovely video, I appreciate the cinematography and your communication skills, also showing of so many monuments and places in just a video. Great! The descendants of the Ahom Kings are still alive but most of them are no longer in power and now a common citizen just like anybody else, they write surname 'Rajkonwar' which literally means Prince to identify themselves as the member of the royal family. (24/4/23 5:55pm)
Oh wow! I wish I had known - would’ve loved to interview one of their descendants for the video. If I get a chance to visit again, I’ll surely share their current story as well 🙌🙌
@@SiddharthaJoshiFilms one of the descendant family I know lives in Mumbai and was former General Secretary of Assam Association Mumbai

One special thing about ahom architecture is that they used a special kind of cement that was a mixture of limestone powder, dal egg yolk soil and many other components.
I am from assam living in Bangalore. I am missing my home so much. This video definitely brought back my childhood memories. Love from assam. Amazing video. Keep up the good work❤️

Ok thanks for the update. I will definitely see that.
Keep growing bhaiti,, thank u for exploring Assam and the ahom kingdom,,,,, may God bless u dear,,,,
Ahom dynasty se pehele bhi aur dynasties thi Assam pe,uske bare me toh koi baat hi nahi karta.I hope they get the recognition as Ahom dynasty getting these days
Agreed@@anonymousfandom164
@anonymousfandom164 , Before the Ahom kingdom emerged, the North-east was consisted by several distinct Kingdom States such as the Kachari, Meitei, Chutiya and Jaintia. Each of them plyed a crucial role in the region's history and politics.
How beautifully you explorered our Sivsagar, Assam...thank u so much

Before the British arrived in Assam, Singhpos had long cultivated tea leaves; it was Maniram Dewan who informed British official Robert Bruce about this, leading to the commercialization of tea worldwide by the British after China. You are doing a great job, keep it up! ♥
Thank you for sharing! I’ll certainly be back in Assam to cover the story of our tea in details 🙌🙌
Recently I was in Upper Assam for 6 months near Magritte Queen of Coal Mines and enjoyed the tea garden green natural beauty and areas where coal digging is done Assam has still maintained it culture and traditions I was at Lekhapani Military srn
It's Margherita , I live nearby

Beautiful video from beautiful Sivasagar. In Sivasagar district, there are other sites like joysagar and rudrasagar where also present the old palaces and tanks etc.
Thank you so much! Hopefully I’ll visit again and see all the other places too :)
Proud to be AHOM❤
Very interesting. In America we often forget that Assam even exists, since we don't usually pay much attention to northern or eastern India, which is a shame because there's a lot of fascinating history and architecture there. Thank you for making this video.
Absolutely and it is indeed unfortunate! We need to do a lot of work to bring out the stories from North East 🙌🙌
Thanks For Visiting Assam.. Also Very Informative video...👍😊🤌

I'm happy that now people are recognising us 😊❤bhaiya could you please visit Bhuban ching ( pahar) it's in silchar and very few know about it. Its a holy hill ...kind of other holly places of India like kedarnath , jai mata di mandir. But Bhuban pahar is not that recognised. You have to climb high up to worship the God. It is mostly visited during Shiva Puja between ( frebruary to march). If you ever get time then please visit 😊❤
I would love to visit there! Hopefully I’ll get a chance to visit Silchar someday in the right season 🤗🤗
