- Join us for a tour of our little Casita camper trailer. We have boon-docked all over Alaska with our Casita but mostly use it as a tiny home as we build our remote, off-grid cabin.
Casita Spirit Deluxe 17 - Our tiny little haven from the Alaskan elements.
Rugged construction, well insulated, simple systems and ease of towing are high on the list of positive attributes these campers possess. If you can keep your life & load simple, these campers are an excellent choice (if you can get your hands on one).

Love the rubberized paint idea. Answered a question I had in the back of my mind!
Glad I could help!
Thank you for sharing your home away from home with us
That is a cool camper.
Having a comfortable place to stay while you are working on the homestead just makes everything go that much smoother
There's no way we could function out there without a place to get out of the weather and those famous Alaska bugs.
Mosquito, the Alaska state bird! 😂 and we can’t leave out the blue tarp, Alaska’s state flower.
@@blueyedhillbilly7047 One thing about the Casita....it is almost 100% mosquito proof. The only bugs that get in are the ones that come in as you open the door.
When the cabin is completed that Casita will be the perfect man cave for you!
Ive already spent most of the last few summers in it. It is like having your own little motel room.
Very nice, thanks.
Our pleasure!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Really nice I like that you have it set up pretty nice😊😊😊
Thanks! 😊
Cute!!!😂
We think so too but it does get kinda small after spending most of summer in it.
One of those 'grabber' sticks might be helpful for the bottom of the closet.
We usually have one of those hanging shelves in there. So the floor of the closet is for "deep storage" of stuff we dont need constant access to.
Put a Diesel heater in that space instead of a wood stove. Wood stoves are dangerous, the wood doesn't last all night and it will devalue your very valuable camper.. A diesel heater will also cost you a lot less and will be easier to install.
Thanks for watching! All good points although wood stoves are very safe if installed and operated properly. And they are the most reliable heat source you can find. Plus a diesel stove means carrying fuel. And a tiny bit of diesel spilled in that small of a camper would drive me crazy from the smell. Whereas there is always dead wood to be found almost everywhere you camp up here.
