Terry Wogan was a professional down to his finger tips. He was hilariously funny too. No wonder he was so popular it’s so great we can look back on clips like this ! Two great legends here gone forever life is sad too unfortunately.

Absolutely loved terry. Great host he loved his Irish heritage but a smashing producer. He did so much for children in need❤ he is an inspiration. Great man I always love him as a small child. Rip terry xx
Everytime i watch eurovision's on youtube, i say: oh that brittish commentator again, well i dont hate him actually i really like him, i just saw for a very first time his face and i can tell that he is actually not young as i imagined him, but he is right though....he's been doing this show for a very long time!!! :P :P

RUclips neglect to mention they only give you the LATEST comment on a piece, since you last checked your "fan-mail" - as a result of which I am now spending the whole WEEKEND going through around twenty THOUSAND comments - answering ones that were posted up to TWO YEARS ago. Some of those commentators (commenters?) are probably DEAD by now!!

Newsflash. You can be Irish AND British. The British public adored him. He was extremely popular. I'm in my 40s, and at no point in my life have I ever heard any Brit say something derogatory about Sir Terry Wogan. We loved him.
As soon as Terry Wogan died, the UK started to do better at ESC. I guess he made people dislike the UK as he was always very arrogant and disrespectful towards others.
I hate this dude. This ruined ESC for the UK honestly and he is the whole reason for their sense of arrogance in ESC that still exists today. He is such a bad dude and so unfunny because intentionally insulting people under the guise of comedy is not okay no matter how you phrase it.
As a passionate British Eurovision fan, watching this makes me cringe. Terry was appalling and should never have been commentator, never mind for as long as he was, and almost single-handedly destroyed its reputation in the UK. Thank god we now have the likes of Graham Norton, Scott Mills and Rylan on our commentary team who are all genuinely passionate about it for the right reasons

I use to listen toTW 40 years ago on BBC when i got up to get the school bus the sad situ.was i am irish where we had no radio programmes at 7.00 .
People arrived at work happier for tuning into Tel in their car`s. Laughing all the way. No wonder BBC held him with such high regard.
