I like when model companies step out of the box and make unique planes like these....Kinda makes it worth the extra effort to the build. So sorry that the folding wing design didn't work out with you. I was kind of intrigued about that feature and was interested in it. I agree with MIKE SSI. Great build Papa, Wesley being cool on the sticks, & Lori working her magic with the cam. :-)

Well, the foldable wings are actually quite nice and easy to figure out.
Mark a halfway point on the wing joiner tube. Now slide the wing joiner tube through the fuselage all the way into one wing half. Then position the other wing half and slide the tube back to the mid position.
The trick is that the tube will fit almost completely in one wing half in stead of just going half way.

SWEET. Wes great flying. Papa amazing build. Ms Lori always awesome video 😘. This Old Man has the DW Storch for some time. Still building little at a time. Had not decided on the wings but thanks to Papa's review will glue. Love what y'all are doing for our Hobby. ✈️🧔💝💝

Papa is a heck of a builder. This plane is no 15 minute assy pnp. Its quite an engineering masterpiece, and requires a ton of skill.

Gotta learn the diff between incidence and dihedral. That said, valuable vid. Thanks.

I love the plane !!! But I got a Big One coming soon I’ve got to pay for (B-17). It would be nice to put a Just Enough RC FPV Pilot In with those clear windows 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻

Guys, warning this is a very complex wing assemble. The front slates are the most trouble because of the number of parts and the size. The instruction manual is good, but you can paint yourself in a corner fast. I almost got in big trouble on the tail feathers, take you time and think before you glue. With all that said, what a great small airplane and challenge.

    Good video. Thanks.
I bought the actual balsa kit last July. It's quite close to completion now. The actual kit has several issues, and the instructions are vague and incomplete. If one were to build exactly per the instructions, then the 'plane might be a mess to get right. The build is quite finicky in places. I made quite a few mods to this build: Made properly shaped slats and fixed them (per the full-sized 'plane); made struts from carbon rods with hard balsa and fixed to the wing with hinges (saved almost 3 ounces versus the aluminum struts supplied; multiple mods to U/C. Anyway, looking forward to seeing it fly in a few weeks.

I'm in Savannah and it looks like you guys are in the low country as well. Whereabouts?

DW probably wanted some dihedral for lateral stability. Model seems a little too heavily wing loaded for extreme STOL or very slow flight as per real Storch.

    Hi Wes,
Please provide the definition for “coronated turns”.
(are you saying, when making a left Turn to apply (left Ailerons and right Rudder)?
    Suggestion Video How To:
Definitions, like “Side Slip, Stall Turn, Hammer Heads ext.” and the Stick movement and what is the benefit of doing these type Maneuvers are”.
I searched everywhere on RUclips for these terms and instructions.
I am positive that all your viewers would appreciate this information.
Suggestion Maneuvers:would Apply,Side Slips, Scale Barrel Rolls, Four Point Rolls etc. )
You are an excellent Pilot and the way you explain things IMHO You perfect RUclipsr to create this type of Video. Thank you in advance for answering my questions Wes!! Happy Flying Guys!! 👍😀

So in a real airplane you use left ailerons and left rudder to make the nose come around this is called A coordinated turn. Now when flying slow you want to keep the wing level this is accomplished buy starting a left turn with rudder but keeping the wing more level with right ailerons

unless it comes as a box of sticks that you glue together, it is an ARF not a KIT:)

If we call it anything other than a kit most will not be ready for this it’s a harder build than most.
