  • This is part 6 of 7 in the Ford 6.0 powerstroke diesel rebuild series on project Excursion. I this video I show how to upgrade the fuel system to a Fass for better performance and to supply adequate fuel to the new larger fuel injectors. I also show how to add the Mishimoto oil catch can system to the crankcase breather to help keep oil from circulating through the intake to be burned thus reducing oil contamination in the intake, intercooler, and boots. I also finish up the install of the regulated fuel return system. I will provide links to the fass system for the excursion and the superdutys plus the mishimoto oil catch can and regulated fuel return below.
Fass 140GPH Fuel System (Excusion): amzn.to/4bbMrGr
Fass 140GPH Fuel System (Superduty): amzn.to/4b7Gryq

This has been such a helpful series. It’s the best resource on RUclips for this kind of thing! I’ve learned a lot. I have an 05 Excursion 6.0

Thank you. I will be towing but not very often just kind of a weekend warrior. I went with Holders diesel premium injectors. I did have an issue with a couple parts which I will go over in part 7 which should be out next Sunday. Appreciate the positive feedback.

I got a question? Is there a way to take the 03 engine with a branch style tube and update to the 06 hpop or without the newer standpipes and the issue. 03 have less likely to have a oil leak versus the new one. To combined versions of both. You have much more reliable engine.

I don’t believe so I did some research on this awhile back because I wanted the newer style hpop for my excursion but didn’t really find any info on it so I ditched the idea.
