I was also just treading about this scene in her My Name is Barbra bio. I had to watch this again to see her in that gorgeous Cecil Beaton gown and turban headdress. She has never looked more beautiful in film than this scene. As in the book, she claims the 360-camera shot during the kiss was her idea. A side note, a never before published photo of her in this dress along with her son 3-4-year-old Jason dressed as a Buckingham Guard standing next to her is included in the book section of photos.
I saw this movie in 1970 with my junior high school class. The teachers, though big Streisand fans, thought this scene was VERY risqué! Of course, she looks and sings beautifully. In her recent memoir, she had mixed feelings about the film, especially this scene. She found the Brighton Pavilion both beautiful and grotesque, and said she had absolutely no chemistry with the actor playing Tentrees, or Yves Montand, for that matter. She wasn’t being pejorative, she simply had to think of someone else to portray the love required of these characters.

It's a great scene and the best part is the end when the camera goes two capture both side of Barbra's gorgeousness.
Love, love, love this scene, this song. I can't even begin to tell you.

Her book is fantastic!!!! I really want to know who she’s thinking about lol because she looks full
Of desire and passion!
Many of Babs' co stars found her difficult to work with. I'm wondering how Yves found her?
I’m not sure Barbra was ever more alluring than in this highly underrated film. Yves Montand wasn’t too bad either!
The only Queen B! She smolders!
