I have been using your recipes for around 5 or 6 years now, since I learned how to bake when I turned 59 years old. Your videos are second to none instructive and flavorful. I'm always getting compliments about the look and flavor of my baked goods, thanks to you. I tried this recipe today for the first time. Wish me luck 🤞 time
Hi Stephany, I just wanted to thank you for your recipes demonstrations. You really inspired me and my friend to bake our first pie and it turned out really good. And everything because of you. Thank you for everything! :) Greetings from Colombia!
this recipe is same delicious like your apple pie recipe.....I am from Austria and Austrians don`t really make pies, there is more the 'apple strudel' thats famous, but my husband is Canadian and loves pies, so I looked for recipes and found your videos, I learned from your videos how to make the cust and pies :D thank you so much !
I love watching your videos, they really inspire me to start baking and to even take a class. lol its like watching "Julia " the feeling that it looks so easy and delicious . Your like a warm mom .I love it.
Thank you for this wonderful recipe, I've tired many of your recipes and they have all turned out great, especially this pie I made for 4th of July. I sub frozen blueberries (did not thaw) and doubled the cornstarch (4.tsbp) to sop up extra liquid. Also skipped chilling the assembled pie for 30 mins and baked it immediately for the same cooking time and temperatures. I got lots of compliments and the kids really like the stars. Thank you for your recipes!
Love the rolling pin! I just got one similar as yours but not exact! Thank you for the great recipe which I have been using since three years ago, esp the dough !
Wow! What a great looking pie! I'll have to try the recipe. I don't think I'll go with the star pattern on top, though. I'll stick with the traditional weave.
Hi Stephanie, I was wondering if you ever cook the blueberry filling before adding to the pie crust? You are an inspiration and excellent teacher. I made your apple pie where you cooked the juices of the apples and then added them. It was so delicious, it disappeared the same night. Thank you so much for your amazing and precise recipes.
This is the same recipe that I have always made. It turns out perfect every time. I love the idea of the stars. Very pretty. We have a HUGE blueberry bush in our back yard. I can't wait for it to get some berries on it after seeing this video...yum!
I'm so blessed to have this recipe I was thinking of making a berry pie for myself since no one likes it but me. I find almost everything on your site I'm looking for and a lot by happen chance thank you so much for posting the videos. You are always a joy to watch so positive very informative and an awesome teacher.I really like your cooking /baking style.have a blessed Thanksgiving.Shawn
I've never tried using frozen blueberries, but it should work. I don't think I would thaw the berries, so you will probably find that the pie will take longer to bake.
We love your comments however due to our busy schedule questions on the recipes may take some time. We check our Facebook page more often so if you would like a quicker answer post your question there. A link to our Facebook page is in the description above.
I've never tried it, but you should be able to. I would probably prebake the bottom crust if I was using a canned pie filling as the pie won't take as long to bake.
I'm not sure where I stumbled upon your recipe, I was trying to make marshmallows and got carried away. Your videos are fantastic and I love that you use both measuring systems. I love fruit pies and my favorite is strawberry, but I think I have to try the strawberry rhubarb pie as well. You are my new favorite youtuber!! Keep being fabulous!!!
I love the 🌟 part 🤩🤩🤩 So creative such a inspiration for others who loves cooking. I have passion for cooking keep going with new ideas people like me so useful. Thank you😍😍😍
can i use ghee instead of butter? or the recipe will not be as good? thank you very much when i follow the recipe accurately the results are really great!!!
look verry delecious , gonna try it next friday . thkx a lot. (my first american home made pie) to compare it with the french recipe ( and eat both :))))))
If I were to make mini versions of these in the regular muffin pan, what baking times should I use for the two oven temperatures - 400 and 350 - to avoid sogginess? Thanks so much.
should I cover the edge w tinfoil the entire baking time or just when I reduce the heat. do I reduce the heat while cooking it? or take it out and then put it back when oven has reduced?
Why chill before putting it into the oven? The juice leaks out over the plate when you cut it, why not thicken it a little more? These are not rethorical questions by the way haha :)
This is a late reply, but I am sure you can use frozen blueberries, but you must thaw them and drain the juice or else it will be too runny and probably make the crust too soggy (being more like a cobbler).
Questions? Why put the dough and all in the fridge before baking? When making m6 blueberry pies …blueberries run on top of the crust and also go through the crust underneath… when the blueberry pie was ready before baking ,you put everything in the fridge… you did not specify how long in the fridge? Why put in the fridge?thank you!

Hi Stephanie, I just made this pie today and everyone loved it- it was gone within minutes! Thank you for sharing all the wondering recipes!
I've never tried using frozen blueberries, but that should be okay. You might want to add a little more thickener, as frozen berries have more water.
this recipe is same delicious like your apple pie recipe.....I am from Austria and Austrians don`t really make pies, there is more the 'apple strudel' thats famous, but my husband is Canadian and loves pies, so I looked for recipes and found your videos, I learned from your videos how to make the cust and pies :D thank you so much !
Thanks for sharing the recipe. It has given me the right kind of motivation to finally stop drooling and start baking. :)
Yes, although depending on the sweetness and juiciness of the berries you may have to adjust the sugar and amount of cornstarch (corn flour).
I love watching your videos, they really inspire me to start baking and to even take a class. lol its like watching "Julia " the feeling that it looks so easy and delicious . Your like a warm mom .I love it.
Thank you Stephanie for another well demonstrated video of this Lovely Blueberry Pie! Going to give it a try!

I made this last night for my partner’s birthday. Looks beautiful. Can’t wait to try it.

This pie and crust is amazing. WOW! I won’t be using any other recipe.

can i use ghee instead of butter? or the recipe will not be as good? thank you very much
when i follow the recipe accurately the results are really great!!!
Yes, you can use sucree dough.
Can I use vanilla extract instead of lemon zest + juice? Will it still come out right?
You could keep the lemon juice and zest and still add some vanilla extract.
hello!!! I love your recipes.. I have learned a lot!!!
how can I get the recipe for the pie crust?
All the recipes are on the site.
Yes.
look verry delecious , gonna try it next friday . thkx a lot. (my first american home made pie) to compare it with the french recipe ( and eat both :))))))

Can we make this recipe with cherry and other berries?
Do you need to add the cream to the egg yolk?
Can i do this with another fruit, like strawberries for example?
would it be fine to use a rubber brush
What kind of cream do you use? Heavy whipping cream or half and half? Or something different?
I normally use a light cream.
Can I use Xylo sweet sweetner as I am diabetic type 2. Also where does Gelatin come in for a pie recipie. Thank you Darrell Smith Toronto

It relaxes the pastry which prevents a tough crust. And chilled pastry keeps its shape better.
The recipe just says fresh blueberries.
Ok..it needed more sugar..mine came out very tart
It depends on the blueberries.
I DON'T LIKE BLUEBERRIES BUT I WANT MAKE THIS PIE
blackberries...
2 table spoon of lemon juice made it too much sour😭😭😭
Looks fantastic....Are you married ?
Lol yes I am. My husband Rick shoots the videos and videos edits them.
@@joyofbaking :( Your husband is lucky!

that "pre made"bottom crust, should not be sitting there, should be kept Cold,..
please smile in your videos! =)
can I use frozen blueberries?
You could. But I would probably increase the cornstarch to 3 tablespoons (30 grams) as frozen berries tend to have more water.
@@joyofbaking Thank you! I have made so many of your recipes. You and your recipes are wonderful! Thank you for responding! xo
