You have no idea how I appreciate seeing your blueberry pie recipe. I am a southern cook and do that very recipe. I cannot believe the folks I see putting vanilla in the recipe and cooking the berries first. You never ever put vanilla in a berry pie as it overwhelms the berries. Peach pie yes, apple pie yes but not berries. Just my two cents. Wonderful video.💐🌷💐🌷💐

Incidentally, after you have grated the zest off the flavonoid, I have pulled off the white corky flavonoid from the fruit (any citrus: lime, grapefruit, orange, tangerine) and left it on a plate to air dry. Later I ate the pieces like potato chips. The flavonoid is good for weight loss.

I love that your pie tin has tiny holes in bottom. Does that make your crust cook more even? That happens when to be my biggest issue with pie crust. Sometimes just a bit soggy. I love blueberry pie. Will be making this for the 4 th of July holiday. Will follow step.by step. Thank you !

It depends on the type of filling you are using. If the filling doesn't need to be baked very long then you would prebake or partially bake the bottom crust. However, with this blueberry pie you don't have to prebake the crust because the filling needs to be baked for quite a while.
WOW ... I am not a big fan of blue berry pie, Too many berries to eat at once for me. I like blue berry muffins a lot better..... But I love the cut out stars dropped on top for the crust.... It gives the pie a look of great delicious. Thank you for the idea, I will be using that on apple pies.

So I tried to bake 2 pies at once, one blueberry & one cherry, however after assembling them, turns out 2 don’t fit….so I had to pick which one to put in the fridge. I baked the cherry pie first since it had more liquid and i figured it would get more soggy by sitting. I’m going to bake the blueberry pie after the cherry is done. My question is- how long can you let an assembled blueberry pie chill in the fridge before baking?

You might want to look up on RUclips on how to blind bake your pie crust first to prevent the soggy bottom
