  • Oversharing on social media has become the norm. But beyond the possibility of getting rich and famous, are there any psycho-sociological reasons why people are sharing their lives online more than ever before? What is it about having a digital identity that makes people want their private lives to be out in public? What are the dangers of being that chronically online?

Hope you enjoy my last upload for the year!
What do you think? Do you or anyone else you know tend to overshare online? Do you think it's a problem, or do you find the social benefits outweigh the bad?

I’m so glad your Saltburn video hit my recommendation; it feels like once a year where I can find one nugget of a RUclips channel. Please keep up the great work!!

Honestly, the openness with which people are willing to share anything and everything going on in their lives is scary to. I understand the incentives of (perceived) connectedness with others and attention, but the potential affects it can have on your mental health (along the other dangers you mentioned) are really concerning to me.
Anyways, happy to find your channel :) And looking forward to exploring your other videos!

I agree, it's definitely worrisome, especially for a generation that is growing up with sharing so much as being the norm. I'm glad you liked it!
