I have an '06 330i and this video inspired me to get the muffler/secondary cat delete that same week. It's been about a year since I've done it and couldnt be happier. It's not too loud, but has just enough noise to make it sporty 👍 and the fact that it pops without a tune is just the cherry on top 🔥

Bro how long has the pipe been worn when u took the vid? I just deleted my muffler and it pops but urs a lil more louder and longer but maybe is because u alr worn the pipes a bit
Rogers Finch primaries. But the are inside of the headers so you would need new headers. Removing secondary cats is faster and cheaper. But if you remove both then it's and insane amount of backfire

That sounds so sick dude! Would just a secondary cat delete sound good or would you advise pairing it with the muffler delete? I don't want my car to be too loud.
delete your secondary cats and install a borla or magnaflow muffler in place of your stock one. check out your video if you want to hear what that sounds like.
@Gavin Pawluk I currently have a muffler delete and I’m abt to go and get my secondary’s removed. From what ive heard most ppl go w muffler and secondary or just straight pipe it from the primary cats back. I’d say go to a shop and remove the secondary’s and if it isn’t loud or aggressive enough then remove the resonator
How everybody, I was wondering how much of a downpipe would the muffler delete + the resonator delete, maybe 20% of a downpipe of freeing power? Or what would you say that would that is the equivalent to a downpipe?, I already know that the muffler is restrictive and also is the downpipe, and to a certain lesser degree the resonator, you see I don’t want to take out my downpipe and put a catless downpipe in, like everyone else does out there, my option to a downpipe would be a resonator plus muffler delete, the porcentagem to a downpipe in freeing power of the exhaust system, that sound is even better with a muffler and a resonator delete on a bmw 330i or 320i, because it’s less raspy to me.

Hi, nice sound you have there. I have a 330i as well and would like to do a muffler delete. My concern is about the low end rpm which I'm in mostly due to city drives. Do you lose any power or pace? Thanks!
How long did it take for your set up to break in? I recently got my secondaries done recently (still have my resonator) and to be honest the noise sounds about the same apart from the deeper exhaust note. I also thought my car would pop and burble a lot more but again, feels kinda the same when I just had a muffler delete
@@frankielatargia3491 yeah, I figured. My car does pop and burble, but pretty much exclusively on the down shifts. I don't really wanna take my resonator out because I have the strong feeling that I'll want to put it back on shortly after. Definitely satisfied with what I have now.
Not true, the pops are caused by unburned fuel exploding. The cats are what are supposed to burn off those fuels, hence without cats you get pop. Maintaining the res will actually keep the tone deeper. Take out the res and your straight rice
How is your piping set up? I want to do this to my 06 330i. Do you neck down to 1 pipe after the manifolds, back to 2 for the resonator, then back down to one the rest of the way, or 2 pipes up to the resonator off each manifold? So I know how to explain it to the muffler shop. Thanks!
So for the cats, literally just cut out the two cats and put in two pipes to fill in that gap. And for the muffler, again, just cut it off and welded one pipe out the bumper and welded tips to the end of it
Would you say it got louder after the secondary cat delete? I notice it crackles/pops a lot more but the note sounds almost the same on camera. Getting a Muffler delete done sometime this week, curious if I should just remove both.
TGSN _ so when it's in park the revs sound pretty much the exact same as just the muffler delete. But when it's under load and your driving it does sound different. A bit louder and deeper rumble and tone. Honestly would recommend getting it done if your going to get the muffler delete anyway. It's a good compliment to the sound.
First things first just wanted to say the thing sounds awesome man xD. Secondly what did the muffler shop do? (what size pipes, what tips, etc) I have a 2010 328i and would love for it to sound like yours :)

Yes there is a list in low end torque, it smells bad and will sound horrible with a resonator delete. That being said you will need a tune to tie in the deletes
I currently have muffler delete on my e92, and I can definitely feel there are loss of torque without the muffler. I'm thinking about doing second cat delete next. Do you know if second cat delete makes the car lose more torque?
Removing a muffler and/or cats actually increases hp and torque because you’re letting the exhaust flow better, which is also better for the engine. You could gain probably up to 20-30 hp and 20-30 ft-lbs of torque by doing the car delete
I have a 2011 bmw 328i e90 automatic and I currently have a muffler/resonator delete if I remove the cats as well will it make the same amount of pops and crackles as in the video?
