That’s crazy about how they ignore things from the original films. It makes you wonder if they ever watched the previous movies
It really is crazy. Don’t get me wrong, retcons happen all the time with a lot of franchises, but even that aside, the show is still bad on so many levels.
some MIGHT call him a Sith Lord. doesn't mean he is. besides, nobody knows and they haven't seen a Sith in 900 years. Not at the forefront of their thoughts during this time period.
Sol can probably tell it's not her. The dialogue is written so they can misdirect the audience but still make sense.
Appreciate the comment. I get that it’s not at the forefront of their thoughts during this time period, but it wasn’t at the beginning of the Phantom Menace either. That’s why it was a shock that the Sith could still be around. When he identifies himself as a Sith, I find it hard to believe that Master Sol would not report that right away. As far as your other point, I do hope that Sol knows that it’s not Osha because it would not make sense if he doesn’t.
@@Boblovesmovies yeah flows into TPM when it comes to not knowing they are around. At least publicly. He also doesn’t identify himself as a Sith. He said you MIGHT call him that. Sol might try to report it or cover it up who knows, it’s not over yet. They choose the dialogue very carefully even though it comes across as mcklunky a lot of the time. Just wait until it’s over before hating on it. If it sucks it sucks but you gotta hope if you’re a Star Wars fan. Sol has already shown he will play along if someone is lying. If not there’s always that smelly beaver.

It just always amazes me how Star Wars fans think that everything said in a previous movie is Lore. It's easy to assume the Jedi are wrong about the Sith not bieng around for a millennia as there is one alive in this movie ( Phantom Menace) and they don't know... DUH!!!!
The Jedi were always wrong. The Sith had been around for a long time. The Jedi just didn’t know. No one is arguing against that point because that’s clearly obvious. What makes it lore breaking is that a Sith was revealed in this show and a Jedi is still alive to report it. I find it hard to believe that a Jedi Master won’t report it right away.
@Boblovesmovies but we don't know yet. Everyone keeps speculating every episode. We don't know he lives to tell anyone. Mae is with him and she still needs to kill him with no weapon to satisfy her master. She now has a great opportunity to do that since she is so close to him with him unsuspecting.
Not the point. Those same films also have Darth Maul say that the Sith have been around for a very long time, they were just hiding. Palpatine even tells Anakin that he was trained as a Sith by Darth Plagueis a long time ago.
The point is that Ki-Adi Mundi and the others on the council don't know that, and that Mundi wasn't even alive back then.
Honestly the episode was probably the most enjoyable one so far but the dialogue is still so bad and yeah like you mentioned the lore just doesn't make sense at this point i do hope the show can start to pick up from there
@@ykreview I enjoyed the saber duels, but it began to drop off for me around the mid point. I doubt the show can be saved. At this point, I’m just looking forward to Andor season two.

They are breaking the law on purpose because they hate George Lucas. that’s just my opinion, but that’s what I think after seeing how much that they just don’t seem to give two shits for lore and they could’ve set this thing 1000 years in the future but no, they had to do it pre-prequel. I think you’re right. They want to remake Star Wars into something that they want and not what it’s been.

@@CriticlessCast yeah that’s what I heard that you couldn’t force yourself to do it lol. The first 10 minutes were decent with some cool saber action, but it quickly fell off a cliff with lore breaking, stupidity, bad acting, and poorly written dialogue. The only reason I’m still watching is in case we talk about it on my other channel. Since I’m watching, I figured I might as well review it.

I disagree about mundi being in the show being a lore breaking event. I think we are going to see "mind wipes" and that will likely be the explanation for the rest of the Jedi not knowing the Sith exist. Also, I saw the reveal of the guy being the "Sith" a mile away. That was too predictable. Recall how he said something along the lines of "don't mind wipe me" when he had first confronted the jedi in his shop? I think that was foreshadowing what will happen later.

If it wasn't a lore-breaking event, you wouldn't have the video of the Wookiepedia editors editing the wiki in real-time after the episode aired to change Mundi's age, as well as change the lifespan of his species.
His species was established as not living very long. Not anymore, though.
It's not that people are so attached to Mundi and hate him being ruined that's the issue, it's that this show cost $180 million, and that's a really careless, and even callous, thing to do. Like, they paid people millions of dollars to write and produce this show, but they couldn't be arsed to do a quick search on Wookiepedia to make sure that what they were doing fit with the lore?
That's not okay, and f*ck anyone who thinks it's okay. So, f*ck you, I'm not gonna be nice and say "That's your opinion," because your opinion on this is really f*cking bad.

This episode was not just bad, but was atrocious! It destroyed Star Wars lore. Shame on everyone at Lucasfilm who created this terrible story. I am a Sith! No you’re not! What an insult

You want things to flow nicely in a story. Good writing is essential. The Acolyte fails to do any of this. The writers lack experience and that’s why this show is suffering.
