When I bought my Janome Horizon 7700, I asked about cleaning and oiling. I was told NEVER to oil the machine; that it would oiled once a year when I brought it in for service. I was astounded! Subsequently, when cleaning the bobbin area, I tried to pull out the wick, thinking it was a clod of lint. When I took it in for service, I told them I couldn't get the clod of lint out and I was "reprimanded" for trying to remove the wick, LOL! Once I learned it was a wick for oil, I decided I'd do my own oiling in between servicing WITHOUT telling the dealer that I was going against "the rules", laughing!!!!! Thanks, Jeff, for suggesting with "heavy use", the wick should be oiled once a month. Linda
Hi. Like your channel. I have a number if sewing-embroidery-serger-sashiko-overlock machines. Those screwdivers are difficult to use, even the little stubby guy. I got a small rachet driver set that fits, nicely securly in place to revove screws in tight areas. It doesn’t slip off and gives plenty of tork to aid in use. Comes in a hard plstic box with many different size heads to also use in any place needing tiny screw drivers. Easiest way to remove-replace screws in the needle area. Hubby clued me in.
Thanks for sending the strips for the bernina. I also have a 15000 Janome. Was told by Janome to never oil it but hear from other dealer I should. I really trust you just live in NC so do we do the same on the 15000!as you show here I think on hd9?
